Envy still stayed outside the room as he began to plot exactly how his operation in Lior would go. He spoke to Sloth without directly coming into the room. "Didn't I already tell you? Give her all the time she wants, or at least give her some privacy. You interested in the chimera's cleavage or something?" Envy mocked Sloth, chuckling a good bit with that last little tidbit.

Upon hearing that Envy was still there Dorochette stood up silently slipping out of the room to meet the green haired homonculus in the hall. "Errr...Envy right?" He asked a bit doubtful at how to start a conversation with the maniace.

Envy raised an eyebrow. Why would anybody ever want to talk to him? His exspression was rather puzzled, but then he realized he probably just wanted some food or something and it quickly went away. "Err. . .Yeah. What do you want?".

Dorochette looked somewhat amused at the puzzled look he got first before getting to buisness. "Earlier you said you'd kill us if we attempted to escape. But what exacly do you consider escaping?" He asked. "Can we leave our room and walk around the place?"

Envy squinted his eyes in annoyance. "Already trying to bend rules I see? I don't care. You can go wherever you want in the mansion. It's not like I wouldn't be able to get to you if you tried anything stupid, and I trust you're intelligent enough to know that. After all, you were fused with a dog, right? Way smarter then humans.". Envy smirked.

Dorochette doubted for a moment whether to take it as a compliment or mocking. "Yes." He answered on the dog part. "Though I don't think nesseccarely smarter but sharper for sure." He said as looked at Envy. He was really very different of mister Greed for sure. "Why exacly do you hate humans so much?" Dorochette asked, his curiousity taking the better hand of him.

Envy twitched a bit more as Dorochette continued to question him, surprised that anybody remotely cared. It was awkward how curious Dorochette was. . .It reminded him of Wrath with constant questions, though he wasn’t nearly as annoying as the homunculus trapped in a child state. Upon hearing that he was expected to explain his hate for humans, Envy frowned and sighed. ”Well. . .Let’s see. . .”, he said, rubbing the back of his head.
The true reason he hated humans so was because he was envious of them. . .Envious of their easy free lives that they took for granted while he was a slave his whole life. He intended to bring them all down with him so he wouldn’t be the only one suffering. . .But of course he wouldn’t let anyone know that. That would easily be among the most humiliating things he could let out about himself.
After having thought it over, Envy folded his arms and turned away from Dorochette in a snobby fashion. ”Why do you wanna know? Do I need a reason?!?”

This homonculus didn’t seemed as open as their boss usually was as Envy was twitching and avoiding the question. “Well I think it’s quite obvious I wouldn’t bother asking something if I didn’t wanted an answer on said question.” Dorochette pointed out, perfectly making sense. “And it would be rather…stupid to hate someone or something for no reason at all.” He said calm as ever.

Envy sighed. ”Yeah. You’re right. I do have a reason. I’m not a psycho, either, despite what you might’ve thought earlier back inside the chimera. Though sometimes I question it. . .I can have a bit too much fun sometimes.”. Envy chuckled. ”But anyway, why do you think my reason is, huh? I’m dying to hear this. . .”.

Dorochette had to admit he found it rather hard to believe that Envy wasn’t a psycho, but he decided to keep that opinion to himself. At Envy’s question he looked a little surprised before going thoughtful. There could be plenty of reasons that caused people to hate. Xenophobe, jalousie, revengefulness...There were plenty of possibilities, but which to pick in this case? “I’ll guess on either revenge for something that happened in the past or jalousie if you take your name in account. And as Mister Greed his name is very close to his way of acting I’d place my bet on the second one.” The chimera decided. “Though I can’t think of any reason why you should be jalousie of humans though.” He admitted confused at his own guess.

Envy looked down at the ground in shame, rather embarassed. "I guess it is a bit obvious, huh? If only cause of my name. . .I've already told you how sick I am of serving Dante, right? 400 long hard years of slavery. Those humans though. . .They're born with oh so much better circumstances, free as can be, yet they take it for granted. They're dealt such a nice hand, but all they ever want is more. . .Greedy bastards. All I want is to finally be free of that bitch you had the displeasure of meeting earlier." Envy let out a deep sigh. He didn't know why not to bother telling him anymore, seeing he'd probably be killed off before long anyway.

Dorochette had a hard time hiding his surprise this time. Of all things he could have expected as a reaction this hadn’t quite been on his list. He had expected the homunculus to be rather proud of his envy not ashamed, like Greed was just all to proud for his greediness. “Well 400 must be long.” Dorochette admitted. He still thought it wasn’t much of an excuse but 400 years of being trapped had to be a freaking nightmare. Just 14 years had nearly drove him crazy so he didn’t even wanted to consider what 400 years would do to a person. “But humans life less long.” Dorochette argued a little doubtful how to put this. “Are weaker, and we aren’t that free. You just do what you want, humans are bound by the law. Or the military, social classes, some by slavery…it’s not the same but it isn’t total freedom either.”

Envy sighed as he forced himself to look at the chimera. ”Yeah. . .It’s pretty pathetic, isn’t it? Humans like you are one thing. . .You’ve at least had a taste of what my life’s like, though you can’t compare to how long I’ve been stuck like this, and it’s not like you haven’t had any free years. I know it’s not exactly an ideal reason, I’m just trying to justify it, I guess. I –used- to kill all the time for fun, but I got pretty bored of it. Now. . .I dunno anymore. If I ever do break loose from the old hag, that excuse’ll be gone too. Might actually have to stop killing, now that I think about it.”. Envy chuckled. Once again, he wasn’t really talking all that much to the person next to him anymore, thinking out loud somewhat and staring off into space.

Dorochette frowned, not completely agreeing. “We were in cages or bounded for years. You at least can move around as pleased.” He pointed out. “Your slavery sounds more like forced military duty than being caged.” The chimera pointed out.

Envy looked down at the ground again. . .”Goddammit. I admit it, it’s not all that bad most of the time, but still. . .Just how fucking LONG I’ve had to put up with it. . .That’s what’s made me crack. That, and I’ve had my share of torture and discipline too when I was younger and more naïve to actually try to disobey master, although what really broke me was all the confinement, sort of like what she died with Greed, but even longer. . .Damn Greed. Cheated his way out of it early. Lucky bastard. Oh. . .And here’s a little tidbit that might make things clearer for you. That bitch. . .She’s. . .My mother.”. Envy rested his face in his palm, shaking his head, utterly humiliated, letting out a weak chuckle as he tried to force himself to stop feeling sorry for himself.

Envy didn’t seized to amaze Dorochette at the instant. He would never have expected the homunculus to be so open hearted, even if he was planning on killing them. Well 400 years was hell long of a time indeed but he wasn’t sure how to take it in consideration. After all 400 years was rather hard to grasp for human beings who lived for just 100 years at the maximum (didn’t seemed he’d ever reach that age but that was beside the question now). And he wasn’t quite sure how homunculus experienced time, was 100 years equal to 400 or less or more?! It was rather confusing. He knew well enough that 400 was hell long but he decided just to listen and stay silent. At the last comment however the chimera blinked confused. “Your mother?” Was that even possible with homunculus? They got transmuted didn’t they? Dorochette did his very best to remember everything his boss had ever explained to them about homunculus. “Do you mean the person who transmuted you?” He asked eventually.

Sloth frowned at Envy's words, but chose not to acknowledge them. However, she did find it interesting how he seemed to actually give two damns about the chimeras. She didn't watch Martel the entire time, but glanced at her every few minutes, frowning whenever the snake chimera showed any form of affection for her daughter.
Martel finished nursing her daughter quickly but turned away so she could have a few moments extra with Ariana. She studied the girl's features somewhat. While the boy looked like Greed, this child looked a bit more like her mother, mostly due to her lighter complextion and hair color. Glancing over to make sure Sloth wasn't watching, Martel gave her newborn daughter a light kiss on the forehead before handing her back to the homunculus who left immediately after.

Envy forced himself to come out of his little depression after a decent pause. ”I’d rather not talk about it. Haven’t I told you enough already, dammit? Why do you even care? None of this matters to you. I’m the one who’s keeping you from getting out of here. You should hate me.”. Envy was beginning to get rather dumbfounded as to why the dog chimera wanted to know so much about him. He must be searching for a weakness or something. . .

As the homunculus suddenly went from very open hearted to hostile defensive he decided that it was obviously time to better be quite again and stop asking questions. “I was just curious.” He defended. “Beside I see no harm in me knowing those things. Not like it’d be of any use to me.” He said. When he saw Sloth coming out of the room with Ariana he decided it probably to be wiser to leave the homunculus alone as he retreated back in their room instead.

Envy looked almost disappointed as Dorochette left, reaching out towards him slightly as he left, but not saying anything and quickly retreating his hand. Go figure that he’d scare him off. Envy was a lot more lonely then he’d care to realize, but he wouldn’t acknowledge it, not even to himself, less he take yet another hit to his pride which easily dwarfed that of the homunculus who went by the same name.
