Barry lifted his head from where it had been resting on his paws, and narrowed his eyes slightly as the canine appeared seated on the branch beside him. "Yeah." He answered in response to the dog's comment. "We were quite a few until recently." He glared in slight envy at the canine's wings, realizing that he had flown up. I wish I had been human...at least BEFORE I became this...then I wouldn't have to crawl around like some wingless insect. he thought darkly. --- (HERES SLICER! picture once again by Raptorbarry on deviantart.com) "Come..." She called to him, her voice tantalizing and mischievous. "I can't!" He replied, sadness enveloping him. It was no use, no good would come of it. "You must...come...come..." Her voice still rang out, dragging him deeper, deeper... Then another voice interrupted. It nagged him, like a thorn in his side, pushing at his defenses and causing them to crumble. But he didn't want to wake, not just yet..." BROTHER!!!!" He jerked his head, blue orbs flashing into life as the agonized voice of his younger sibling aroused him from his waking dreams. "What?!" He snapped angrily. "...What were you dreaming?" His brother said, irritated tone suddenly turning curious. "It must've been something good seeing as you refused to wake." He huffed indignantly. "My dreams are none of your business. Now, tell me why you woke me? Hm, not that I was sleeping anyway..." "...Look around brother." With slight surprise, Slicer looked around. He stiffened, causing his brother to wriggle underneath him in discomfort as his movements were blocked. "Where ARE we?!" They were no longer in lab five...the vegetation and chirping of small creatures that surrounded them made that quite clear. He tried to stand up, but realized that he was already standing, his brother having gotten to his feet moments before. "What the-" He twisted his now elongated neck to gaze in dumb disbelief at his now changed form, that seemed to resemble more somekind of strange beast than his usual warrior style armour. "...Do you know how this happened?" "No. I thought it couldn't hurt if I went into standby for a few seconds, I had to think something over. When I opened my eyes again, we were like this." He was still nearly mute with shock, slowly lifting his feet one at a time, to inspect his new form. His hands were no longer as flexible as before, though he could still grab a nearby branch and break it by standing on three legs. With a rustle of parchment, he spread out his wings in wonder. "What are we now?" "Somekind...of dragon I think." "Do you think this is just another experiment?" "I'm not quite sure." He twisted around to take a good look at his tail, which was now topped by a sleek blade at the tip. "Hm. I think we should take advantage of this turn of luck." "Its nice to be outside again..." Even though they couldn't feel the sun on their skin, or smell the scent of life around them, everything aroused their attention, as they broke into a brisk lollop through the woods, making the trees shudder slightly as the ground trembled. Many small creatures ran by, but they saw no need in ending their lives. After all, they weren't forced to. And they needed no food. So why bother? "Try down their...its an animal track." They turned in unison, both of them interacting with each others signals in harmony, as they had learned to do through months of training. As the trees cleared up, they found themselves at the side of a lake. Something immediately caught 48's attention. "Look." He said quietly. The small beach curving around the lake was littered with dead fish, which had washed up on the shore. "What do you think caused it?" His brother asked in shock, as they tentatively made their way down the bank. "I don't know..."

Dorochette staid on a safe distance from other dragon. Just in case as he didn't trusted him. He might also have been stucked in the lab 5 but he had been a guardian, so it left some natural tension between those who used to guard and those who were being guarded. "I always thought there where just about 3....At least I could always only hear 3." Dorochette commented before stretching his neck to look over the vally if he saw anyone who seemed familiar.

Barry paused slightly at this remark. "No...there were more of us. But in the end only the strongest survived as they say. Though I can't help but wonder if luck played a bigger part..." He rested his head on his paws again with a sigh. "It was hard times. We were all getting used to our new bodies, staying together as a pack to survive. Chimeras would escape from their cages now and then you see, so we had to be on guard, always. Never a moments rest."

Dorochette was trying to figure out how streight and being in an armour without a body and just a soul, could be connected but he didn't word his thoughts. "You could have just let the chimera's escape." Dorochette suggested. Yeah that never ended all too well when they did their escaped attemps. Usualy either painful or embarressing.

((When I said strength I meant like mental strength, like the one that can hold out the longest.))
Barry looked up with a growl. "Are you out of your frickin mind?! I'm not talking about the humanoid chimeras, not all of you were old soldiers. There were things there bigger than I am now. It would have been pure madness. And anyway, the bastards like Envy would've eliminated us if we began stirring up trouble. We were no more free than you were." He got up with a sigh, sending a spasm down his metal spine to straighten out his plates, and then he sat on his haunches. "I'm bored. Wanna gut something." He said in irritation, gazing over the horizon and waving his tail slowly back and forth.

"You put the humanoid chimera's back just as well." Dorochette pointed out calmly. "At least you could walk around, we were stuck in a cage. And expierements didn't stopped as soon as you tured into a chimera for us." He added. As the other dragon stood up he kept a close eye on him. At his comment howevere he went anime style sweatdrop. "And than you say having those chimera's run lose would have been madness." He pointed out at the gutting coment. "Wait you were all death cell convics weren't you?" He asked as he looked at the armour dragon suspicious. "What were you convicted for?"

Barry ignored the canine's remark on the chimera's, he didn't know how it had been. "We were more in danger than anyone in that filthy place." He hissed just under his breath, so the chimera didn't hear. At the chimera's suddenly flustered tone, Barry turned his head to listen. His eyes widened in excitement at the question. "You mean you don't know?!" He chuckled gleefully. "My my, how unfortunate you are. 'Tis quite a story. All started with my wife though ya see..." He tilted his head to gaze up at the sun, red orbs unblinking. "I was a butcher, and a mighty fine one too. She came from a rich family, her father wanted her to marry an honest man, without to much wealth. Thought it could teach her some humbleness. She never quite got used to being poor though, even though the business was going fine, meat was expensive to buy, and even though I saved some money by killing the animals myself, we were still rather scratchy on money." He chuckled, stretching like a cat and clawing deep ridges in the bark. "She lost herself in the bottle, trying to drown her need for richer things. She snapped though, and soon after that, I did too. It was pretty easy, her flesh was like butter at my knife, her skin parting so easily to let the crimson blood flow. I regretted doing it...I won't deny that. She was a fine woman, and I loved her. But I just couldn't contain my anger." "After that I couldn't stop, I wanted more. Wanted to show the world how easy it was to step a little too far over the line...show them all how meager their lives really were." He sighed, curling his razor-tipped tail around his legs. "After nearly a year and at least 23 victims, give or take, I was caught and imprisoned."
He suddenly remembered something. "Oh yeah," He said, turning towards the chimera. "That reminds me. Get off my tree. I think you know now that I'm not the type to mess with. So get off before I cut you to pieces."

Dorochette did hear the other dragons mumbling perfectly well but decided to ignore it. “No I don’t know.” He said calmly as he wondered for what the other was suddenly getting and if he was missing on something big. Through the story Dorochette staid quite just listening. “Ow yes how unfortunate I was for not knowing such a story.” He said in light sarcasm. “You must really have loved her.” He added in the same way. “You got caught after a year. That’s quick.” He mumbled to himself. At the sudden threats the chimera dragon only seemed amused. “I’m shaking in my boots…fur.” He corrected, slightly mocking. “Beside what would you care. It’s not like you could sit here.”

Barry narrowed his eyes slightly. Though he was slightly taken aback by the chimeras comment on his wife, and had blurted out a reply before he realized it was sarcasm. "-Of course I loved her! I married her for hells sake, she must've done at least SOMETHING to attract my atten-" He stopped, and instead glared at the chimera. He glanced at the branch, knowing that he couldn't risk falling again. The chimera would probably just claim the tree as his own if he did such. But still-Barry disliked sharing. And he wondered if it really was worth it...It was too open anyway. The wind and rain would reach him, and probably make him rust. And to crawl up was tedious. He sighed. "Fine. I'm leaving." He went over to the edge, and once more he plummeted below, spreading his wings in a futile attempt to stay aloof.
He landed with a crash, straightening out and turning towards the tree again. He liked it, it had some drawing effect on him. But he knew he couldn't live in the heights, so maybe a slightly more down-to-earth arrangement would do it? He poked his head around curiously, looking for holes that might suggest if the tree was hollow, or patches of earth that might be possible to dig in.

Dorochette looked rather surprised at how easily the other dragon had given up as he jumped back down to leave. Dorochette looked doubtful for a moment before he shook his head and surprisingly smoothly flew down again. He landed a bit of from the other dragon. “You can have your tree. I don’t need it and I don’t want it either, I don’t see what even made you think so. I was sitting there for a moment. You’re almost as possessive as mister Greed.” He said, seeming slightly amused by the thought of his greedy boss. “Good luck finding your friends.” The chimera dragon said before turning around and walking the opposite way, sniffing the air to try and maybe find a familiar track.

Envy puked a bit more before finally lifting his head out of the lake and gasping for air. ”There. I’m finished. So then. . .I haven’t really seen all that much yet, but when I turned into an eagle and tried to fly out of here the winds were way too strong. I couldn’t get out. Aside from that, I haven’t seen much that was too noteworthy.”.
Gluttony chuckled as he looked down into the lake. ”Look at all the dead fishies! Can I eat them?” he asked Lust, looking over to her. Before Lust could answer, Envy looked over into the distance, seeing a metal dragon on the other side of the lake. ”Later, Gluttony. It seems we have a guest. . .”.

Barry looked up from his investigation as the canine landed with a soft 'thump' beside him. He listened for a few seconds, and then lowered his head slightly. "Well...You made me realize that the heights aren't exactly the greatest spot for me." He admitted grudgingly. "So I'll try and see if I can dig a spot or something." He scratched tentatively at the soil in front of him, and was slightly pleased by the amount of dirt he had raked up. This should be easy enough... As he heard the chimera leave, he twitched his tail slightly in response as he began shoveling dirt out of the way. "Thanks. I'll need it." He paused, with a load of dust settling on his nose. Thanks? Geez, this change must be warping my mind or something... He shook his head and resumed digging. -- Slicer sighed wearily. "Seems something must've polluted it. Not that it matters to us...but it is slightly depressing to see." He turned, walking alongside the shore, just beyond the reach of the waves so his leather feet didn't get wet. He had a new body, and he sure wasn't going to let it rust or mold anytime soon. The farther he came, the more dead fish there were, and it started to puzzle him. "This is getting-" He froze as he heard voices, and lifting his head he saw to his surprise a number of figures farther ahead. The slight grunt of his brother reminded him to relax, and his brother let out a sigh of relief. "Stop stiffening like that. Its not that easy to fight against y'know-" "Sh. Look." They both remained silent, tail held above ground and head raised in rapt attention at the strangers.

Envy saw the other dragon watching from the distance, keeping a careful watch over it. He noticed that it seemed to be made of metal like 66. . .Perhaps this was another of the guardians from Lab 5? ”I know you’re there and I know who you are. Come. . .Let’s talk. I’m sure you remember me.”. Envy turned into his human form and put his hands on his hips, chuckling slightly. ”No need to be shy now. We’re all gonna be stuck here for god knows how long. I don’t own you. . .For now.”. It wasn’t so much that Envy was thinking about getting out of the valley so much as it was that Envy intended to take the place over and become its ruler. After all, who could possibly hope to challenge a homunculus dragon?
Gluttony watched with slight disinterest, chugging down some more water, although he was a lot more fond of Envy in his human form, paying more attention when he turned into it.

Dorochette meanwhile left the other dragon behind as he started scouting the environment. He couldn’t quite catch any familiar smell so instead he decided to try and have a look from up. He spread his wings and went up in the air again. After a while he found that the wind was too hard to rise any higher so instead he settled to just fly above the tree tops again as he looked around trying to find any of his friends.
“Well maybe it was because you were just an eagle.” Lust suggested. “So you can still morf?” She than added as she looked at Envy before turning to Gluttony. “Yes later Gluttony.” She agreed with Envy for once. “A guest?” She questioned before looking around as a smirk quickly came upon her face. “Well then let’s go and welcome them properly.” As she now also saw the newcomer she somewhat grinned amused. "48 isn't it?" She looked the other dragon over. Even if they had all changed in dragons they still had the characteristics from what they had been before this.

alex happened to be awake when it happened. he had been Running down the hallway when he saw a transmutation circle drawn on the floor and going up the walls, taking up ten feet of the halls length. Alex had been running, when he finally saw the ultra thin lines he was in the middle of it. as his foot hit the floor activating the circle he felt the cold creep through his legs and he couldn't move. he felt himself sinking down through through floor. scramblingfor a hold he found nothing. he resigned himself to ultimate survival, seeing that there was no chance of staying here, he curled his knees to his chest and put his arms bent at his sides. he was ready to grab at anything to catch himself from falling. as the floor came up to his chin he tried to loosen the muscles in his shoulder and hips to absorb any kind of small to medium impact, but as it lapped at his neck something stole away his consciousness. Alex woke in a daze, his head spun for a second when he tried to open his eyes. shifting his weight slighly to see if anything was broken or damaged he was surprised to find that he was curled up on all fours and his tail was twitching next to his nose. well at least he was comfor... wait!!! A TAIL!! alex opened his eyes and saw with amazing color and detail the rigid scales, like sharpened knives, where cutting through the grass with a razors ease. Alex lifted his head to get a better feel of his body, and at first that was a normal action. but when his head kept getting higher and higher and farther from the ground he realized that he had a powerful and long neck. he wondered for a minute or two about what he looked like. then have decided on finding a still pool to look in he stood with all the grace of the Armstrong line in his bones. even with the blood of an armstrong in him he found himself over whelmed, such was the strength he now possessed. flexing his back muscles he saw the grass around him flatten and heard the sound of a ships sail in the wind. he turned his head to the side and looked at his back. folded in a niche in the scales where to wings of what looked like silk, but when he touched them with his claw he saw that they where stronger than steel. turning his head back to his path ahead saw a lake not far from himself, so he began walking it. so it was with ever increasing ease that Armstrong learned his bodies abilities, here and there stopping to admire an ant on a daisy, from twenty feet in the air. when he got to the lakes edge and saw what he was he wasnt hardly surprised, having made this conclusion after he saw the wings. then a thought stuck him and he realed back on his hind legs (he was actually so comfortably with this body he could have walked that if he wanted), throwing his wings behind him. Alex felt tightening in his stomach and then in his throat. when it reached the back of his mouth he instinctively opened his maw and a very fine mist of acid mixed with a black flame(turning the acid to vapor other wise it would come out as a stream of liquid) ten foot long. a cry in the distance broke his thoughts and without ever deciding to do it he was in the air forty feet off the ground and rising to about one hundred. he flapped his wings and rocketed away toward the screeching.

Slicer stiffened again, and this time his brother did not protest. "Envy..." He hissed, as the all-too familiar voice came from the biggest of the dragons, which hardly looked like a dragon at all. His fear was confirmed as the humunculus transformed, his usual in-human form being as self confident as ever. His eyes slowly passed over the over dragons. The big one...the one that was slobbering for all its worth into the lake...he recognized it slightly. NO wonder the fish are dead. He thought in disgust. And the third- He immediately backed up a few steps in shock. Surely it couldn't be- But it was of course to be expected. The three humunculi seemed always to be together, why shouldn't she have been there too? He fidgeted in discomfort.
"We should go-" "I don't think so brother. Technically, we've got nothing to fear. We're no longer in lab five, right?" "I KNOW THAT. But they're still humunculi-" "And we're stronger. We should at least see what they have to say." Before he could react, his brother had seized control of their shared body, and began walking towards the others. "What are you doing?!" He hissed in panic, frantically digging his heels into the ground in an attempt to slow his younger brother down. "Stop it. Why you so scared all of a sudden?" "I'm not-" Before he could finish the sentence they had reached them, and his brother let go with a slight grunt of satisfaction. It was always nice for him to have shown his strength to his older brother, though then had probably not been the best time. Slicer ducked his head, snaking his tail beneath him out of sight in a pitiful gesture. He hadn't admitted it-but he was scared. His brother was always so straightforward, so risk-taking. But Slicer had seen the power in Envy, especially his new dragon form. And then there was Lust...
He shied slightly in reflex to her question. "Yes." He said hesitantly, avoiding her steely gaze as she inspected him. He wasn't normally submissive, but...he could never quite explain how jittered he felt whenever she was near. As though one fateful step could cause his imminent doom.
--- Barry grunted, shoveling more and more dirt out of the now well-proportioned hole. "Getting...there..." He growled, shaking his head again to free himself from the dirt that had been flung up into his empty eyes. Her paused as he heard a distant roar, but decided not to think further about it.

Envy turned back into his dragon form hastily as Slicer approached. ”When it comes down to it, we’re still in charge of you and all the others here, “48”. We homunculi have kept all our powers in tact, as you’ve just seen, so we’re easily the most powerful of the dragons in this valley. We’re not gonna force you to stay here like back at the lab, but seeing we’re all stuck here, that doesn’t make much difference, now does it? So then. . .As our first decree as rulers of this new land, I require you to make us a shelter.”.
Envy grimaced, a zombie or two crawling about in his teeth as he did so disgustingly. It felt good to be in control. . .To be the absolute ruler over an area. Dante was gone and he was left to pick up her position as the new ruler of the land.
Gluttony chimed in with Envy hastily. ”Oh! And get us some ice cream!” the child minded homunculus dragon requested. Envy shook his head in annoyance and just snorted back at Gluttony, not even bothering to tell him how impossible that was to get here.

Slicer glanced at Envy as he turned back into his dragon form. His eyes widened and then narrowed as he digested this new...request? He snorted indignantly. "I'm afraid that would be an arrangement I wouldn't altogether feel quite the need for." He glanced at the massive dragon, which he had rightly guessed as being the fat one that always seemed to follow Lust-Gluttony was it? He met Envy's gaze again, straightening himself out and coming out of the fearful crouch from before. He had his pride, which had sometimes been a weakness, he wouldn't deny that. But it was still a main part of who he was, and he wasn't going to give it up so easily. "As I said. No. You have enough limbs to set up such a thing, have you not? And I am quite sure that you also have the strength. We have been slaves of you for long enough." He said coldly, unfolding his wings in an unconsciously threatening gesture. His brother too, steeled himself, shifting so his paws had a better grip on the sandy earth beneath them. His tail flicking slightly. No way am I going back to that. I would never forgive myself.

Envy grunted and smirked. "Figures things wouldn't go over perfectly. Looks like we'll have to enforce our rule. . .Just as well. I've been looking for a chance to more throughly test this new body.". Envy whipped around suddenly to slam his tail into Slicer and chuckled. Gluttony laughed. "Ooohhhh! Can I play?". Envy grimaced as he turned back to face Slicer again. "Maybe later. Right now it's my turn.".

Hawkeye tried as best as she could to rationalize her thoughts. "I have to get back to headquarters..." she thought to herself, "Find the Colonel and see if anyone else has fallen victim to this possible... disease..."
She looked around... it was dark and she could barely see... but she sensed where walls were and where she had to go...
The Lieutenant only wished that she was the only one brought to this strange place... hopefully Roy and the others hadn't been dragged here also.
