FMA: The Real World (Part Four)

Kimblee

After he'd calmed down, he retrieved the ring box and lay on the bed. He had a pillow over his head to keep out the light and hide the tears if anyone should walk in on him. God knows they all expected him to be a hard case ass crack and he didn't want to disappoint them.

He heard Roze call out to him and he peeked from under the pillow a moment before burying his head under it again.

"Come in." he said with mild irritation, "Don't worry... I aint gonna bite you."

Riza

She blinked in surprise at the sudden request. She stammered uncomfortably for a moment, trying to get her bearings. "A-adopt?" she finally spilled out, "Well...I guess..I suppose so.."

It really was a better alternative than letting the poor girl fend for herself and maybe give in to the temptation to earn money on her back again. "But.. first things first... doctor appointment."

She pulled out the thick yellow book and flipped through the pages until she found what she was looking for, Planned Parenthood. She dialed up the number and noted the address on a paper scrap next to the phone. After confirming that she could bring her as a walk-in, she hung up.

"Allright... looks like we're okay for going in today." she said. She glanced at her watch. "We better hurry, they'll close soon."

Arden blinked for a moment. "Clause? I thought that was a boy's name? Or are you just like my brother?" the young girl asked, sounding honestly curious.

Meanwhile, her dog was sniffing Claus's legs like she was coated in kibble. Bandit made small growls every once in and while.

Roze-

Roze nodded and entered the room to find Kimblee underneath a pillow. She sighed and pulled the pillow from his head. "I told you face-to-face. Not face-to-pillow" she said, her voice sounding like she was playfully scolding a child. "Now, stop moping and let's do this, alright? Because Kimblee... I've been thinking. And I've found out... I truly love you. So let's do this... whenever you feel comfortable again..." When she spoke that, if he was still facedown, she'd kiss the back of his head. If he was looking at her, she'd kiss him straight on the lips, before pulling back with a sweet smile, and turning to leave. She knew that if they indeed loved eachother, she'd need to say no more.

Clause-
Clause looked to Dante and smiled. "Thanks, Dante." However, when Arden spoke up again, she nodded. "Yeah, it is. But my friends say it suits me, since I'm a bit of a tomboy." she said with an apologetic tone, and a rub behind her head. Her words didn't match what she looked like- she had on a white one-piece dress. However, if one looked closely, one would see mud spots on the bottom of the hem of the dress. Maybe she was after all?

Hikari-

She heard the female give something of a yes, and a smile lit up her face, making her seem her age again. "Thank you, Riza!" she said, giving the officer a big hug. She continued to beam, thinking about the possibilities, when Riza's next words brought down her usual demeanor again. "Alright... let's go..." she said, as she made her way to the door.

The younger girl nodded slightly. "Just watch out for my brother...he bites" she warned with a smirk. She then noticed her dogs was still sniffing Claus, growling low in her throat. "That's Bandit".

Clause-

Clause shook her head. "I've taken down Edward Elric himself before, so I don't know how much trouble I will have." she said, with a small laugh. "But I'll still be careful." She looked down to the dog, whom was now given the name Bandit. "Hey Bandit..." she said, kneeling down. "I promise I'm not bad. So I hope someday, I can earn your trust." she said, cocking her head and smiling.

The dog still growled slightly, staring at the girl. She stayed that way until Arden snapped her fingers. Then she relaxed, her tail wagging slightly.

"As you can see, she's obedient." Arden said, sounding proud of her pet/partner in crime.

Deciding to introduce himself, Kevin stepped forward. "Hey, my name's Kevin MacRustle. I live a few houses down, but I come here a lot to hang out with Poke and Dahlia here" he said, pointing at the girls.

"He's my boyfriend" Arden supplied for the nine-year-old boy.

Clause-

Clause sighed and stood up after the dog came back to Arden. "Nice training you did, I see." she said, smiling at the female. When a male stepped forward, she noticed him, and nodded. "Nice to meet you, Kevin. If you haven't heard, I'm Clause." she said. When Arden said the male was her boyfriend, she put a hand on her head. "You must be popular... even over there, I didn't get any boyfriends. Sure, I hung out with guys, but that was doing things like investigating the graveyard and playing cops and robbers and things like that..." she shrugged, the hand off of her face. "Oh well. You got any other friends I could meet, possibly?"

"You like dead things?" Arden said with a smile when Claus mentioned graveyards. She blinked slightly when Claus asked about other friends she had. "Well, there's Kevin's younger brother, Kyle...but he's probably busy. Tell you the truth, most people are afraid of me".

[velinda]

Clause looked slightly taken aback at the abrupt question. "Well... I don't know. I mean, the reason that we were there was because we were trying to find out about rumours of a ghost appearing there. I guess that's the same, in a way." she laughed. When she mentioned the younger brother, she shook her head. "Not quite what I meant, Arden. Though I thought you'd understand, having a boyfriend and all." she said in a slightly teasing voice, bending over slightly with her hands clasped together behind her back. "And I think you're quite fun so far. You're... different, that's for sure. But that's no reason to not hang out with you, is it?"

"I told you....people are afraid of me. And I guess it's for good reason." Arden said with a shrug. It was like she didn't care about her lack of apparent friends.

[velinda]

"And why's that? You don't seem to be such a bad kid, Arden." she said with confusion in her voice. She sighed and stood back up again. "Alright then! I'll be your friend! That way, you can have friends, too!" she smiled at her. "And you know, I used to have very little... positive influence friends, as some of the adults told me." she shrugged. "But I guess that doesn't matter anymore... Say, are there graveyards near here?"

Kevin decided to answer for his four-year-old girlfriend. "Poke isn't exactly a nice girl to most people. She's caused quite a bit of bloodshed since she was a baby."

"And I have no plans on stopping anytime soon" the brunette said with a somewhat vacant smile.

[velinda]

OoC: So Poke and Arden are the same person?

Clause shuddered a bit. "Well... if it doesn't happen to me, I won't mind. Then again... I've almost been transmuted into a man's doll that he was trying to create in the likeness of what he thought to be his dead girlfriend, who turned out to be the old hag from our city." she sighed, then must've realized what she had said, for she seemed to blush. "I bet you guys don't believe that, huh?"

OOC: Poke is Arden's nickname.

Arden and Kevin glanced at each other, before turning back to Clause.

"Oh, we already know." Arden said, nodding slightly. "Maybe I know too much for my own good, but it's pleasent to know such things".

Clause tilted her head. "What do you know...? What is it...?" She wanted to know what this kid knew, to see if she indeed needed to say anything more. "You know about me personally...? If you do, how do you...?" She wasn't exactly scared, but she was quite curious. And that's how her voice sounded- curious. Not scared. Curious.

[Zolf J Kimblee]

Kimblee

He lifted the pillow off his face, blinking at her. "Well, alright... if you really mean that, then let's do this."

He sat up and handed her the bags with her gown, shoes and other accessories. "Now..you just put this pretty dress on and I'll put on my suit."

Riza

They walked to her car, a tan Honda Civic. "Buckle up, Hikari." she said, "It's the law around here."

She started the engine and let it warm up a minute before pulling from the curb, headed toward the clinic.

[ooc: sorry folks..i'm sorta dried up lately for RP. This is the best i can squeeze out today. On the bright side, at least it's not a mile long post to wade through. xD]

Roze-
Roze nodded to the man. "Yes I do. I just had to get some other things out of the way first. I may not be as... giddy as I was before, but only because now, I know I truly love you." she smiled sweetly at him, hoping he'd understand. "And I think you'll be pleasantly suprised." she said, leaving the room with her dress. She moved to the bathroom to change, and when she came out, and re-entered his room, she was wearing the one that he had liked in the first place. "Heehee. I got this instead of the other one. I just wanted to tease you a little" she said, giggling.

Hikari-

Hikari followed the police officer out to her car. She heard the female tell her to buckle up, which she did. "I don't think I've ever really ridden in a car yet..." she said quietly. "And what about Kimblee and Roze's wedding...? What'll you do if you're at the hospital with me instead of with them...?"

[Zolf J Kimblee]

[OoC: I'll wait for them to finish up with this before turning back to the wedding so they don't miss out]

Riza

As they pulled up at the clinic, she answered her questions, "Don't worry.. I think we'll be back in time. We'll probably be back before they even finish getting ready. Getting dressed for a wedding and setting it up take time."

She had no idea Roze and Kimblee were dressed and almost ready even as they spoke. They walked through the sliding glass doors and up to the reception window. She filled in the paperwork, ordering a full battery of STD exams, and as an afterthought, with a sigh, she checked the box for birth control request. She was no fan of early sexual activity, but she was even far less of a fan of teen pregnancies.

They sat on the cheap plastic chairs next to a stack of ancient, well thumbed through magazines and waited. "Good luck." she said with a pat on her arm.

[Zolf J Kimblee]

Dressed in suit and tie, he stood before the mirror, adjusting his hat. He shook his head and decided it wasn't right. Maybe for a night out sometime, but not this.

He turned when Roze entered the room and his jaw nearly hit the floor. He was stunned as she stood in front of him, resplendent in the gown he'd wanted to buy for her. He gazed up and down the length of it and back up to her eyes, astonished and pleased. He dropped to his knees and shuffled over to her, throwing his arms around her waist and resting his head against her stomach. "Goddamn you're gorgeous Roze!" he said with a blissful smile.

Riza

The waiting room was full of young women and not a few disgruntled and nervous looking teenaged boys trying to look tough and cool, and failing. They looked scared shitless sitting with their uncertain, and like pregnant girlfriends. God, she didn't want this for Hikari!

A young doctor stood in the doorway with a clipboard. "Number 11?" he called out, scanning the room.

"I think that's your number." she leaned over and whispered to Hikari, pointing at the number she held in her hand.

[velinda]

Hikari nervously nodded her head, and ignored the others in the room as well. She didn't know what they were doing there, exactly, but she had a good idea as to what it was. She stood up and walked to where the person that called her number was, and glanced back at Riza for reinforcement. Then she turned and walked through the doors that the person showed her, wondering what was going to happen next.

Roze

Roze smiled at Kimblee's reaction. She knew he'd be suprised, but not this suprised. He dropped to his knees and even layed his head onto her belly. She laughed and patted his head, then taking it off, she made him look at her and said, serious and playfully, "I'm not pregnant yet. You don't have to listen for the child, neh?" Once again, she laughed, and continued, "Though you're going to try to change that, aren't you...? And you look just as gorgeous as you think I look pretty." She made him stand up and gave him a deep hug. Even so, some part of her was quite nervous, not knowing what made her do this... And what's making her keep on going...
