Hanabi shivered. This place was dark, and it scared her. She had no idea why she was here, she couldn't even remember that. She sat in the corner, her emotions hardened from months of being alone.

Jean glanced at his watch again.
"Shit. Sorry, i gotta go back to my rounds."He stood up, tucking the holy book under his right arm "I'll pop back in later this week." He didn't promise, it wasn't any good. He probably wouldn't come back till next month, depending on if the shifts changed, like they usually did every other day.
He gave the scarred inmate a nod before closing the door behind him.
The two guards immediately resumed their place and he continued down the row.
Eventually his rounds took him back into the less heavily guarded area.
He stopped in between two cells.
They both held women, young, too young for a place like this.
He banged his stick against one.
"You still with us Hanabi?" He peered in at the girl sitting in the corner. She'd been here a while and hadn't said much. It caused him to worry sometimes.
Waiting for a response he knocked on the cell next to her's.
The girl in there was new, probably just brought in.
"Hey."He used a much friendlier tone, even though he knew this girl could be a mass murderer.
But it was always best to get on their good side, even if most the other guards didn't believe in this.
"Hey kid, what's your name?" He called out to the new girl again, after noticing her name wasn't on the door like usual.

Hanabi looked up at the sound of the Lieutenant's voice. "y-yes..................i'm fine...."She said softly. She crawled over to the front of the cell, attempting a smile. She hadn't been eating much, her appetite having disappeared soon after having been locked up in here. "w-when c-can I get out of here? I'm scared................" She said, at least one emotion returning to her temporarily.

Jean rubbed the back of his neck as he turned to see Hanabi.
"I honestly don't know kid."He gave a her a concerned look" You should try to eat more or you really won't last."

Hanabi shivered, more from fear than from cold. "I.......I'm scared...........I d-don't like this place.........." She moaned.

Jean walked closer to the bars.
"I can't really help you. You cold?I can get extra blankets sent?"He tried to be of some help to her.

Hanabi nodded, finally noticing the cold air. She shivered once again, this time from the cold. She smiled at him weakly, coughing a bit from the musty air. Her eyes looked sad, her fear obvious in her tired eyes.

Still not satisfied, he sent another guard to fetch a blanket for her.
"It'll be dinner time soon, so make sure you eat enough, alright?" Jean gave her his best smile.
Everyone looked like crap in there first few months here, but they eventually got over it, got used to the place, even just by a little.
Yet, even now, she still had the same look as most newcomers.
"You'll get used to this lace eventually, even if you don't want to. You don't have a choice, kid."He hoped she'd hear his plea, for he couldn't do much more for her.
The guard came back, carrying a blanket under his arm. He handed it to Jean dutifully, standing to the side at full attention.
Jean held the blanket through the bars for her."Here."

Hanabi took it silently, wrapping it around her. She nodded, giving him a weak smile accompanied by another fit of coughing.

"w-what?" Hanabi asked weakly, the coughs subsiding after a couple of minutes. She took his hand gently, walking to the front of her cell.

Jean placed his hand on her forehead, checking her temperature.
It wasn't immensely warmer than it should be, but she was still ill.
"I'm gonna have to get the nurse to come look at you later. And i can feel a draft here, so i'll get someone else to check that out." He nodded as he made mental notes.

Hanabi looked confused. She felt fine, other than this stupid, annoying cough, so she had no idea what he meant. why's he look so worried? I mean, i'm just a stupid convict, why should he worry about me? She thought, her eyebrows knitted together in confusion.

Jean leaned in a bit, tilting his head to the side as she made a strange face.
"Are you..okay?"He raised an eyebrow, concern in his eyes.
He was starting to get really worried.
'What is she's really sick? I should see Roy about this. I don't want another inmate dieing in here. Noone should die in a place like this.'

Hanabi burst into another coughing fit, unable to answer. She tried to tell him she was fine, but the cough prevented that from coming even close to happening. She fell on her side, coughing hard, curled up into a ball.

The bed opposite of Hanabi's began to rattle,and out emerged a figure.Sora rubbed her eyes,and yawned.'Hey,whats a Lieutenant doing here?'She wondered,and before she could think of an answer, she saw it lying on the ground.Of course,"It",was Hanabi."H-hanabi!Not again!"She exclaimed,and made to help the girl to her feet.

Hanabi felt strong hands lifting her to her feet. She looked up, her brain needing oxygen, barely breathing from coughing so hard. "s-sora" She tried to assure her inmate that she was alright, but ended up coughing again.

Sora sighed,and shook her head."Hanabi,you really need to get some rest.If you don't,your cough will just get worse."She warned,and glanced over at Havoc."You said somthing about a nurse,right?I think that would be a good idea."She said.Sora motioned for the girl to lie down.After all,she definately didn't sound okay to her.

Hanabi watched, seeing Sora's motions, her brain not registering anything. She coughed again, blood dripping from her mouth, her temperature rising every minute. Everything was blurry, and her vision was doubled. Her breathing was shallow, and her pulse became more rapid with every change in temperature.

Jean nodded as Sora asked about the nurse.
He looked at the guard on his right, about to ask him to fetch the nurse when he caught a glimpse of something red coming from Hanabi's mouth.
"Warn the Infirmary!"He yelled, fumbling with his keys as he tried to open the cell.
The guards rapid footsteps echoed through the hall as he finally go the right key.
Unlocking the door, he rushed in, closing the cell behind him.
Kneeling down, he sat her up, waving his hands in front of her face.
"Hanabi?Hey, Can you hear me?"
