“I really don’t want to know.” Bido said, seeming just as displeased by the thought. Lucky his hearing and curiosity weren’t that big.
When Zolf suddenly started about a proposition Bido arched his head. Seriously the man had to make up his mind first finding him a pain and dangerous spy to go to propositions.
The little gecko chimer blinked surprised when Zolf came with the offer. Ditch the Nest and go around in the country with no boarders anymore? It was both a shameful, exciting and worrying thought.
“I can’t do that.” He said as he shook his head after a moment. “All my friends live at the Nest and I own mister Greed my gratitude and service.” He did consider Zolf as a friend, and Barry seemed to be someone with who he would be able to get along but he had known his fellow chimera’s for much longer and had been through a lot with them. Not to mention that without Greed he’d still be stuck in that sorry excuse of a cage in the lab day in day until the end of his life.
“Beside I need the Nest.” He added. Even if he wanted to go walk around like every other in total freedom it wasn’t as if he really could do so. He liked it at the Nest, he really did but in the end it wasn’t as if he had any other place he could go to.

Zolf held up his hands in defeat. It was a shot in the dark, he'd known that, but he had to try. The fellow had a deeply ingrained sense of loyalty to his chimera mates and Greed.
"Fine...fine..." he sighed, "I had to try you know. But what would it take to convince you to keep this stuff to yourself? Or at least bend the truth a bit?"
"Look.." he said finally, "I promised Barry I'd use my share of the stone to, ah..'reunite' his soul with his body. I don't want anyone messin' with that. This whole enterprise has been a pain in my ass so far and I don't want anymore unnecessary obstacles."
And now Envy was surely getting an earful too. At least he had his own higher agenda and wouldn't be worried about small potatoes like this. "Truce, Bido?" he said, offering his hand. "At the very least, don't mention I'm involved with getting Barry back into his body. Greed ain't too happy with me right now, and he'd likely mess with the works on sheer principle, profit be damned."

((Many thanks for the invitation. I was getting a bit worried you might steal it from me.))
Envy still wasn’t thinking clearly. While he had no reason to really worry about betrayal or being too late now, his paranoia refused to let go of the possibility of the transmutation going horribly wrong, much less from a rather eccentric alchemist. . .”It’s not like I personally oversaw the construction of it or anything, but I told my blindly following cult to build it specifically around the city – not a couple miles outside the city.”. After a brief pause, Envy almost said “Never can be too careful though. . .”, but stopped himself, not wanting to appear cowardly. ”Power means responsibility? You can have all the power in the world and it doesn’t mean a damn thing, Kimblee. So long as there’s somebody above you, you’ll never have any real authority. Story of my life, really.”.
After replying to Kimblee he more or less let the others talk among themselves, being out there in his own little world like always. It’s not like any of their trivial concerns were his problem, and he still considered them as humans (Or close enough to it) living the “easy life”. The bastard refused to acknoweledge that anybody else’s pains mattered, because clearly his 400 years of doing nothing were far more appalling then 10 or so years of torture in any petty labs. Obviously. . .Or that’s what he kept telling himself.
Eventually the transmutation finally was completed and the fireworks display began. All the buildings crumbled and the skin ripped off people’s flesh before their bones turned to dust. To top off the spectacle, a nice juicy fountain of blood was spouted out from the center of the city that was so tall it could even be seen from miles of away. It all happened surprisingly fast. . .Envy was a fool for thinking he could’ve just casually sit on his behind in town and escaped that. Only the fountain of blood remained, but it quickly died down into a simple large red shape. . .That had to be it. The philosopher’s stone. All the souls of Lior were just sitting there, ready for the taking.
Without even taking so much as a moment of silence for the fallen, Envy butted his way over to the driver’s seat and drove the jeep like a madman towards the stone, one of his eager grimaces stuck securely on his face. He didn’t think of saying anything at this point, his hunger for souls had entirely taken him over.
Upon arriving at the stone, Envy forced himself to resist the urge to pig in, if for however briefly. Turning his blade into an arm, he cut off (very roughly, probably less then their appropriate share) a third of the stone for Kimblee and the others, ruining the otherwise perfectly shaped stone. ”There’s your share, as promised. Now if you’ll. . .Excuse me. . .”. Envy suddenly and without warning tackled the stone and began devouring into it like a carnivorous monster. Once he started, there was no stopping him, him starting to laugh maniacally halfway through. . .So much for sanity.

[Nah, I ain't that much of an ass crack. I would have sent you a PM and email and waited first before giving up and doing the 'rilly, rilly big show'.]
The ground shook in the middle of their collective bargaining, and Zolf fell to his ass, watching in awe as Lior became a bloody grease spot on the map.
He ducked behind Barry as it grew almost blinding and bright for the last pinnacle of it's magnificence. Considering Barry didn't have eyes that could be burned, he didn't think he'd take it personal, being a shield. He peeked out from behind Barry when it finally passed.
There it was! In all it's blood red glory! His awe was interrupted when he heard the jeep start. Good! Envy wasn't taking any chances. But when he shot off like a bat out of hell, he shouted after him, in vain.
"Fuck!" he screamed, "goddamit!" He might have known...
"Jesus, Barry..." he said in dismay, "he fucked us! He plopped on his ass again and sighed. He heard the sound of the jeep in the distance and at first thought Envy was taking off for parts unknown. However, the spot grew larger and he knew he was coming back.
When Envy returned and gave him his share of the stone, he was almost in shock. He looked up at Envy in almost bewildered confusion. This was one thing he hadn't planned on: Things going right for a change. He scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Gee there, Envy...I thought you was gonna screw us for a bit there."
He immediately shoved the stone into his pocket and watched in mild interest as Envy chowed down on the rest. "Careful there, Envy... you'll get indigestion." he chuckled.
"Well, Barry..." he said, smiling, "looks like we're in business. I just gotta make a small pitstop at HQ."
Of course with the stone in hand, it was tempting to just say 'fuck it' to Siran, Archer and all them military bastards. He was a free man now. Fuck the rest of them. But, he figured that if he returned, it would work out better for him. At least this way they wouldn't be chasing him down to get her her alchemic toys back.
And then it would be back to Lab 5, where it all started. He knew Barry wasn't gonna like this, but it was either that, or find another persons body.

“It’s not as easy for us as it is for you Zolf. You look normal, you can go where ever you want. But I need the Nest. It’s the only place where I get accepted and can live.” Bido pointed out. Adventurous travelling sounded good but he had his own place to be already.
“When I get back I’ll tell mister Greed what I found out.” The chimera said honestly. “But you shouldn’t worry about him. If you’re going to return Barry his body he has no interest what so ever anymore to the boss so he wouldn’t bother either. And beside from that I already told him you are here too.” He admitted. If Zolf really was going to return Barry his body then Greed would not give a damn about the man that was for sure.
As the city of Lior suddenly started to bleed as it vanished of the map Bido winced before pulling his cap down at the light of the transmutation. So that was what Ishval could be compared with? It was horrible for sure.

((I assumed you lot were in the jeep still and came along for the ride, then I tossed you your share and went off to devour mine. That seems to be the main cause of confusion. . .Can I ask you to change your post, or. . .?))

[Let's just be lazy and assume we were all in the jeep. Sorry, I'm a lazy slug today. ;D I'll change it later.]
"Okay....okay..." he finally conceded. "I aint gonna take your word on Greed though. You can't really know for sure what he'll do. But if that's the way you're gonna play it..." he sighed, "it's your call. We'll manage or way or the other."
"Where you gonna be off to Envy?" he asked, "I got a pit stop, like I said, then we and Barry are gonna light off for the territories."

“The only thing mister Greed wanted to know was if there was a soul bound armour around these parts and if it was an ancient guard. Nothing more really. Mister Greed is pretty busy with other matters at the moment.” The chimera added.
As Envy was devouring the stone Bido slightly grimaced. Homonculus could be really weird sometimes. He had never seen Greed do such a thing but the homunculus had however told him about it. The situation with Envy was probably more valuable information to Greed as Barry was.
"Do you think you'll happen to go in the dirction of Central or Dulpith?" Bido asked the alchemist. If the two were, than he could just as well tag along for that part of the way and maybe get a tast of the freedom Zolf had been talking about earlier.

"Well... we're gonna be headed to central after I make a quick run to Lior HQ. Wanna come with?"
He was anxious to get this last obligation out of his hair so he could start his new, freer life.

Bido nodded at the offer. "I need to go that direction as well so yeah."
If they headed for the same location he might as well join them for some company on the trip. That and he was dying of curiousity if Zolf would manage to return Barry his body or not.

Barry sighed. "Greed huh? Shoulda known there would be more of those bastards." He listened in, but the talk was cut off by the amazing spectacle from the city. Barry flinched slightly, but then gazed into the full glare of the transmutation, in wonder. Not even sensing the cowering Zolf. It was....Beautiful.
As the fountain of blood showered above the before so great city, he could almost feel the spray of blood.
He kept his gaze fixed on the massive red form as the car speeded onward, skidding to a halt in the city. He slowly clambered out, gazing at the massive red stone, which was pulsating with a faint red light.
He didn't go nearer to it however. The amount of power radiating from the thing made him feel uneasy. He glanced at Zolf as the dumbstruck alchemist accepted the shard. So there it was, in all its glory. A complete philosophers stone.
He glanced at Bido again, listening to what he had to say. "Hey, hang on..." He hesitated. "You need info about my body, rite? For your boss? Are you gonna get punished if you fail to do that?" He wasn't certain, but he thought he might have a way to help the lil guy if that was the case...

Bido nodded as he looked at Barry as he suddenly seemed very interested in the case. "Well I wouldn't call it punishment really. Though mister Greed would be rather 'displeased' and I'll probably get stuck with lame jobs again." The chimera said. Not to mentoin that usual lame jobs contained heavy lifting, which really wasn't his thing. Or ceiling cleaning, it could be worse. "But mister Greed isn't a bastard." He added. "He's not like those others." The chimera added. Maybe it wasn't the wisest thing to say with Envy near but it wa true to the chimera's. As the other homonculus got them in there, Greed had gotten them out. Out of selfish gain in the first place of course, but he had gotten them out nevertheless and he seemed to have grown fond enough of them as well.
But however it'll probably still be best if he had something useful to tell when he got back. "Why? Can you tell me something? Or know someone who could?" He asked hopefully.

Wrath and the rest where in sight of the building a few steps and they would be entering the building," See I told you fireworks would appear."he pointed towards Lior or what had been Lior.
He laughed as he looked at them and said,"pudding goes good with Fireworks."

Completely and utterly oblivious of his surroundings, Envy continued to devour the stone until he finally finished what little remained. He quite honestly resembled Gluttony right now more then his usual self. His scrawny body was having trouble containing all the power, and if he couldn’t think clearly before. . .Good god. Good luck to him now. He came out of in time only to hear Bido praising Greed over the other homunculi, which snapped him to his senses, if only slightly. ”Greed? Psshaw. If he were such a great guy, why’d he leave Barry over here to rot in that place, huh? Besides, you shoulda seen that guy when we were workin’ alongside each other back in the day. Pretty cocky asshole who insisted on doing everything his way, and he always took all the credit for everything. I don’t even know why I tried to get back with him in the first place.”.
He turned to Kimblee. ”Can’t say I know what you were talkin’ bout before seeing. . .What was going on. . .But anyway. I couldn’t convince –you- to come with me, could I? We trust each other, right?”. Of course, Envy had to make things much more difficult then need be by throwing in a grimace right here. ”With you by my side, I’ve no doubt that we can kill that bitch. I could also use you to. . .Eheh. . .Keep me from going insane. Rather ironic, no?”. Envy chuckled a good bit. The sensation of having such a huge chunk of a philosopher’s stone was somewhat like constantly being drunk, but it was clearly trying to get more of a hold on him then that. After having been exposed so long to his initial philosopher’s stones over his 400 long years, there really wasn’t much of whatever the “original” version of him was left. The stones had completely merged into his personality. He clearly couldn’t leave himself exposed to this much for too long. . .But he already had too much to ever think of spitting them out. It was too addicting.
Envy had also completely forgotten about the existence of Wrath due to going so frantic and having his thoughts scattered by the stone. He hadn’t even considered saving anything for him, and once he showed up he’d probably be too addicted/an asshole to cough anything up for him.

Barry scratched his chin in thought. "I see. Y'know lil guy, I might be able to do just that." The thought of getting his original body back...that was no longer some distant hope. Now that Kimblee had the stone, it could easily become a reality. He was in a generous mood.
"I have a fellow guardian who might be able to know more about my body than even I do." He continued. "If he is still alive that is. But I think he could be an excellent solution to your problem, if your boss really needs the info that much, this guy might be able to help him."
Barry shrugged slightly. "Against a decent payment of course." He added. "This guy can be kinda tricky when he wants to."
((FIRZT PERSON TO FIGURE OUT WHO DAT GUY IS GETZ A COOKIE. Though technically, since Envy probably is the only guy who knows, EVERYONE should get a cookie. YEAY. Gawd I'm hyper rite now.))

Bido gave Envy a thoughtful look. "We saw no armour guards during our escape." He defended. He could, and probably should have went in his boss defence even more than that but he didn't felt like arguing with Envy.
So instead he turned back to Barry, nodding at the information. "Can you tell me the fellows name or where you last saw him?" He requiested. If he gave a new name to Greed maybe that would satisfy his boss enough.

"Well it's something." Bido said positively. No matter how curious he was he was however not really planning to go to check up on lab 5. He's just tell Greed the news and the homonculus had to make up the rest for himself. Yes that sounded like a fair plan. ((YAAAAAAAAAAAAY COOKIES X3 ;D ))
