Ed saw the attack coming but wasn't able to dodge it fully. It was hard enough that he hit the ground. He looked up at Lust and let out a little growl, "Why should I trust that you would use it for something noble?" He asked as he struggled to his feet. He then ran at her again, a little slower this time, to attack her at her neck.

Lust waited for the last possible remaining moment so that she could side step the attack without actually being harmed. "Why, what reason but this would you have: I remember. I remember my death, and some of my past. I want to live. . . So I can die." she said, her eyes sort of sparkling as she said the last few words.

This statement from the heart caught Ed by surprise. She was so different then any other homunculus. He looked at her, his eyes widened. How could he fight someone who seemed so sincere? "I still wouldn't tell you where the stone was...even if I knew..." he said calmly, his automail arm by his side. maybe we don't need to fight... he thought to himself.

Ed looked at Lust with empathy, "We all want our lives to be different. It isn't whether we live or die...its about what you do with life." Ed said as he moved closer to her but still keeping his distance out of protection.

Ed turned away from Lust and transmuted his arm back into just his automail arm. "I will let you go..." he said as he lowered his head. "Go," he said one more time as he walked away. He knew that she was of no threat any longer.

And finnaly saw Al and stopped and look blankly at the talking armor.
...You're that talking metal! Gluttoney kids a pouty child look at his face which is the closest thing he can look toward anger.
Outta my way metal man! I have to help Lust!
He tried to run around Al but as we know Gluttoney is slow and clusmy. And he thought..
I need to try that subway diet or something...

"Gluttony your are gotting nowhere" Al shouted and charged at Gluttony. He hit Gluttony in the belly and set him 5 feet away. Al charged again. I hope brother and Winry are OK. What do these Homunculus want from us? Al is not forgeting the raina and the cat in his armor. He must be careful not to get the cat hurt.

When Winrey saw Lust leave she opened the door and ran across the street to where Ed and Al were. She ran over to Ed's side and immediately started looking over his automail.
"Well, it doesn't look too bad. It could have been in worse shape." She dug in the bag and pulled out her wrench and started tightening the bolts on Ed's automail. "I am glad you both are okay. That woman was really scary." She shuddered at the thought of Lust's nails touching her face.
Is this what Ed and Al face everyday?

Ed looked irritated at Winrey's obsession with fixing his automail. "You don't have to do this everytime I fight you know..." He said with irritation. Next time it might be someone worse...do I really want Winrey in that kind of danger? He thought as he looked at her, now with a somber look.

Sometimes he gets so childish. I know he is just trying to act tough and acting like he doesn't need anyone but he really needs to learn to take care of himself. More important he need to learn to let others take care of him. She sighed.
"Ed, your automail is a delicate piece of equipment and it needs to be worked on after every fight or it's not going to work properly. So let me do my job and tighten it these loose bolts."

Ed sighed, "Fine..." He looked away even more irritated, Ok, so do I want to subject her to the fear of the Homunculi...or am I rethinking Winrey coming along because of the way she babies my automail... Ed let out another sigh. "Winrey," He started. "Winrey, do you really want to come along with me? You saw Lust...and she isn't even the strongest..." He said to her.

What? Doesn't he want me to come along or he is just trying to protect me? Winrey paused trying to come up with what to say trying to think it over in her head.
I want to go with him but I am scared of what we will face. But what scares me more is to lose Ed. He needs me to be by his side, to help him with automail and to encourage him.
"Ed, Al, we have been friends since we have been kids and I have missed all of your crazy antics. " She laughed thinking of those memories." Besides Ed, no matter how much you deny it, I know you need someone to take care of your automail for you." She smiled and gave him a little wink.

Ed's face seemed to drop into a frown, "I don't need anyone to take care of me or my automail! It is in perfect condition!" He said as he stuck his nose in the air. Winrey, aren't you scared? He thought as he looked back to Winrey. "If you think you can handle what we face..." He said to her with a worried expression. He wanted to tell her that he was worried about her safety, but he couldn't seem to get the words out. He simply looked into her eyes, blushed, and then looked away. "We better get a move on then..." he said as he walked off.
