Alphonse moved his glance from Edward to the other suit of armor into the room.Just as he though, his brother and that...person,have met before and more than that, they seemed to have even fought in their previous meeting.Though,he didn't know what else to respond, since he couldn't have judge whether what the armor person had said was a lie or not.
"Keep an eye on us...? Where are Major Armstrong,Lt. Colonel Mustang and the others then?" Al asked, analyzing trough his gaze the figure of the armored person for a moment, before his glance began scanning the room around then, also noticing how his',Edward's and the other armor's voices were the only ones echoing trough the hallways.Echoing says pretty much it all.Only a few sleepy guards were around the base at that time.

Ed turned away, "I don't need to be looked out for!" He snapped. He turned to Alphonse upon his question. "We don't need his help!" He explained to his brother, "Let's get going." He said as he walked away from Slicer.

Slicer glanced at the younger Elric in response to his question. "Such matters are beyond my rank, all I can say is that neither of them feel they have the time to watch you two."
Slicer sighed deeply at Edward's retort. "I was warned you might respond like that." He said wearily. "Nonetheless, I have been ordered to escort you until told otherwise. I have no other missions at the moment, and watching you was to be my highest priority if that was the case." "Yeah Shorty, aren't you the least bit grateful that we're gonna be protecting you? Cus from what we've heard, you seem to attract trouble like flypaper." The youngest Slicer added, just loud enough for Edward to hear.

Alphonse listened for the armored person for a moment, his gaze being thrown on his figure.Though,he glanced back down at his brother, whom wasn't all pleased by that idea of being watched by that person.Al,himself, was somehow neutral. He though that if the higher ups actually sent that person to look for him and Edward,it had to be a reason, that couldn't have been ignored.Yet,if he was lying,it was a danger.
"B-Brother,wait!" the boy called after Edward, after he thought for a moment. His gaze fell upon the other armor, peeking with the corner of his eye at the older brother, though.
"How do we know you are not lying?" he stated, his tone seeming like in a rush and waiting for a solid reason.Because, the consequences in each case were radically different.

Slicer was taken slightly aback by this question. He hadn't considered that possibility. "Well...I..." He paused. "Technically, you don't. The Major is doing other businesses, the only other people who know the full details about my employment are Colonel Mustang, and...Some woman with blonde hair who works for him." He sighed. "Those would be the only people that could confirm my reasons for needing to watch you two. Sadly, they seem to be absent too."
He realized that they probably didn't trust him and his brother, but that wouldn't stop him from keeping an eye on them. Even if they refused, he could always do it from a distance.

All Ed was able to hear was the word "short." His face turned red and his eyes had fire in them, "WHO ARE YOU CALLING SHORTY!" He screamed. He then began screaming in a very high pitched sound. He felt the need to teach this jerk that he is actually not short.

Slicer looked down sharply as his brother roared with laughter. "Hold your tongue you idiot! Do you want everyone to figure out our current state?!" "HA! Aw, c'mon midget, it's not as if it hurts anyone saying it. Short-Short-shorty-shorty-short-SHORT!"
Desperate situations called for desperate measures. Even though the alchemical relationship between the two brothers was fickle, they nonetheless had to share the same body, fact that meant that quite a few advantages and disadvantages followed.
The oldest Slicer had once before succeeded in shutting off his younger sibling's gift of speech, though that had been an accident. Maybe he could do it again? After having concentrated for a few seconds, he noticed to his satisfaction that his brother's taunting had been cut off in midsentence.
"There. Be calm youngling, you're not helping yourself the slightest by causing such an uproar."

Alphonse threw a suspicious glance over the other armor for a moment, just until he realized that he heard what the person was talking about. It was Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye, the last person.Though,he still kept his suspicious attitude. He startled lightly at the sudden burst of Edward and couldn't help but sweatdrop.
"B-Brother..." he murmured calmly, though he got interrupted by the voice of the mysterious armored person.Al listened quietly for the first part, but when the word dislikes so much by Ed started to be repeatedly said,he sort of panicated a little and just in case,he placed his hands on his brother's shoulders,to restrain him from any possible 'explosion' and a typical sort of violent reaction.
"You're not helping!" Alphonse snapped, somehow at both armored person and Edward.
"I believe we need to find Lt. Cl. Mustang to find out if that's true...Didn't Alleck say he was at Laboratory 5?" Alphonse continued, trying to quickly change the subject that annoyed his brother so much and also resolve that matter with Slicer.

Alleck could hear most of the conversation quite well, having only gone a few yards past the brothers, and he was damned sure that he would put a decisive stop to any horseplay that might come about while the 4 conversed. There would be no nonsense in the HQ while he was on duty. However, he was curious as to the armored man's intentions, despite the fact that he needed to rendezvous with Mustang at this lab 5.

Ed clapped his hands in rage and turned his automail into a dagger. "You wanna call me short...FINE!" He screamed as he slashed at Slicer. All he could hear was the short talk. Nothing else mattered at this point, and Slicer was going to regret ever calling him short.

((Btw Alleck, The Slicer Brothers share ONE armor, so unless Alleck has already figured that out, it would still just be three people conversing, Al, Ed and Slicer )) Slicer calmly stepped aside, avoiding the offensive move. "I already made it clear that I do not wish to fight." He sighed holding up his hands. Or at least, one of them. His other arm was in such a bad state that he could hardly raise it.

(I'm aware. What I type, and What Alleck thinks are not necessarily one and the same. I was noting the brothers as a point of referrence. I also said Armored man, at some point. xD]
Alleck saw Edward go on the offensive, and that was inexcusable. He drew up his weapon in his right hand, and with his left tapped the tiny transmutation circle etched into the side of the firearm. A wave of energy overcame the weapon, but no outward visible effect had taken hold. He whipped his weapon forth and fired a rubber bullet between the two engaged in combat. "That's quite enough of that!" he bellowed. The bullet would bounce harmlessly off of an opposite wall and fall the the floor. Assuming that was all that was needed, he would with some offort, holster the pistol and button it in place. His stern gaze drifted between the two as he approached. "Now. What is all this about?" he asked. He outranked either, so his demand was an order, since he had gathered all, except Al, were in the military.

Slicer leaped backwards in shock as a gun was suddenly fired. He drew his sword in a flash, the now carbon-coated edge of the blade screeching against his scabbard.
He looked warily at the now approaching officer, and recognized him as the one he had passed minutes before. He quickly sheathed his sword, straightening up slightly. "I have been ordered to keep a watch on these two by Major Armstrong." He said. He glanced with some irritation at the fuming Elric. "The fact seems to have offended the Fullmetal alchemist in some way."

Ed began to pout. He hated anytime he missed an attack. "Just don't call me a shrimp who's too small to ride a train by himself!" He demanded at the suit of armor. He looked at Alleck, "These guys have caused nothing but trouble for me!" He yelled at the fellow alchemist. Alleck didn't know these troublemakers, obviously Armstrong didn't either. He glared at Slicer again, "just crawl back into the cell you crawled out of." He huffed.

Alleck glanced to the man and quirked a brow at the response of Edward. "Don't be silly, Edward. There's only one." he murmured before looking to the suit of armor. "So. You've been ordered to keep watch on them, eh? Well since we're talking about the good Major, perhaps you could tell me where he is. I'd like to speak with him." he asked.

((Gah. Our Armstrong went inactive ages ago >: last time he was on, Armstrong was in his office.))
Slicer flashed Edward a dangerous glare. That little rat almost had our secret out then.
He glanced at the officer again and nodded. "Yes, that is correct. He probably hasn't left the headquarters, you could probably find him in his office."
He jerked his glance back to the Fullmetal as the boy hissed angrily at him. He clenched his hand in fury, quivering with rage and the effort it took to keep his younger brother subdued. "Watch your tongue boy."

Ed looked at Alleck, "Don't be surprised by...this suit..." he said. He honestly didn't want to prompt an attack, sure he and Alleck had the advantage, but why create an issue when there doesn't have to be. "Just, stay on your guard." He continued as he glared at the suit

Slicer narrowed his eyes dangerously. Damn it, that inconsiderate brat really likes to meddle. If Alleck was already familiar with the concept of soul-binding, he would probably become suspicious of that little comment.
Slicer folded his arms in irritation, sighing quietly. "Is it normal for a military employee to be harassed when trying to carry out one's duty? I'm new on the job, so you tell me."

Ed glared at Slicer, "I don't need a watcher. Alleck is here as you can see. You can return to Armstrong and tell him there is no need for you." He snapped. He didn't believe this story that Slicer was telling, could you blame him? He stayed on his guard, he had no idea what to expect. He then turned to Al, "Al, go see if you can get Haley." He told his little brother. He knew she would and could help. Adding another alchemist against these deadly brothers would be their best option. The only question, would Alleck go for it.

Alleck was not simpleton. He could see that there was history between the two. And obviously, if Edward was speaking of the armor as a 'suit' then there was something amiss. He was familiar with the concept of binding a soul, but he had never witnessed it, and it was not the first conclusion he jumped upon. he held his arm out to Silence Ed, and turned his focus upon the man before him. "I'm not sure. If you are simply employed by the military, you are not entitled to any consideration past common decency. What is your name, and rank if you have one?" he asked. Of course, if he was a soldier, he was obligated to address his superior. If he was an employee, he could get away with politely refusing, but then the armor's protests would be voided, and Armstrong's orders overruled, since he would have no legal precedence to 'order' Silcer to do anything. If he was a soldier, Alleck would outrank him, and he could easily undermine the order by one of the (Usually worst) functions that Military did best. Pointless procedure and bureaucracy.
