(Continued from my writing sample.)
Dante gently set down the ornate cup of tea causing the flower shaped mint leaves to scatter as if blowing about in the wind. She looked out the window out of habit despite the fact that the weather never changed where they where. She couldn't even see the sky. As she made her way into the ballroom she couldn't help but notice the lack of attendance, except for one. But she excpected this much, the others wheren't very good at finishing things up quickly. "Envy dear, would you mind running an errand for your poor mother?"

Homunculus entered the ball room several seconds after Dante, and looked at the human with barely contained disdain. He worked with her because she was useful, and because she was easy to fool. Immortality was a strong bait. She had successfully made a Philosopher's Stone, but she had been unaware of what being at the center of that reaction did, and so he decided that he would use her to his advantage. It was after all rare to find Alchemists of her caliber that would work for him.
"Good morning Dante," he said before turning to Envy, "and good morning to you."

It was a fine morning, at least for the outside world. But the homunculi hideout was devoid of sun and fresh air, being deep underground, isolated from the rest of the world. The most perfect place. But Envy was bored. There was nothing to do for some time now, thus he heard gladly, when That Person asked to see him. Entering the ball room, he nodded his head slightly. "Dante," he said in a quiet voice. Then his eyes saw Father, being nearby. What is he doing here again? "Good morning to you too, Homunculus," he said to him rather coldly. He would never call him Father. He hated that word for many different reasons. But that was now rather irrelevant. Standing straight, he asked in a loud voice: "So, what would you ask of me?"

"Hello, Father." Dante said the word with obvious contempt. She never reserved herself to working "for" someone but this was different. From what little Father had told her his ambitions where much larger than her simple cry for "immortality". Besides following him was much easier than doing things herself, and that face. His face reminded her of "him". And she loved it, despite the fact that he probably only saw her as a pawn. The least bit of attention from that face was enough to conform her will into his. It was a dangerous double helix but she didn't mind. Once she had reunited with "him" she'd be more than happy to adopt "his" goals instead of Father's. But that wasn't the issue at the moment. The issue was singling out a very distinct group of candidates to perform a very serious transmutation. And Dante was pretty certain that she knew who they where. But their efforts could only be focused on one at a time. "Envy, there's someone I want you to follow for a while." "He's an alchemist and I believe his name is Azerik." "He's certainly a potential candidate, but from what our plants in the Ishvallan camps have told us, this particular alchemist is traveling with.."him". "I know how you feel about him, but please practice restraint... you'll have your fun later. I can guarantee that much." Dante's tone conveyed a strange mix of sadist and sardonic. You could never tell with her though, she rarely acted her age.

((Envy, I don't believe that Homunculus' name is common knowledge, in fact I'm positive that only Hoenheim knew his real name at first, and that he never told the Homunculi that Homunculus was his name.))
Homunculus listened with a raised eyebrow, as Envy greeted him, and as Dante asked the green haired Homunculus to tail a young Alchemist, who was apparently traveling with Hoenheim.
"So Hoenheim has found himself a traveling companion?" Homunculus said with interest, "How talented is the young one Dante? He must be of some worth if he's traveling with Hoenheim."

(Humunculous this doesn't follow any storyline so it'd have been wiser to notify us of any name reveals if desired. I don't find the traditional storyline secrets to be of utmost importance as I've already revealed Dante and Hohenheim's relationship. Plus I'm sure Envy only called you humunculous because you reffered to yourself as such and he hasn't seen much of brotherhood. ) "I'm not quite sure as to his strength but from what I've been told he is very proficient at light based alchemy. I want more information on him before we choose who exactly will be performing the transmutation for us. He is traveling with Hohenheim but I've been told they haven't known each other bery long. And if that's the case I'm more than certain Envy will be able to prevent Hohenheim from telling the boy too much. Not that he would, he tends to be much too secretive." Dante gave father a dry look of boredom and overwork. "Is there anything else we need to accomplish...Father?"

((He clearly knows that he is known as Father, as he mentioned that he refuses to call him that. Not seeing much of Brotherhood would mean he doesn't even know the Father's name is Homunculus. And of course Homunculus would refer to himself by his own name, he's not his own Father XD. In any case, I imagine that Homunculus would likely only tell Dante his real name, as she is not a Homunculus and hence not one of his "children". Mind you this could get confusing cuz we are going to 2003 canon homunculus creation...gah this is confusing.))
"Hoenheim travels quickly Dante," Homunculus said with a slight smile, "he has access to passages that most people don't even know about."
Thinking about her last question for a minute, he put on his usual frown, as he thought about what needed to be done. "Deal with Hoenheim and the child for now," he said finally, "the others can be dealt with in good time."

(It doesn't even have to be confusing? All we basically have to do is divy up who made pride or gluttony. The other 2003 homunculus where created by their respected alchemists. And Dante created Envy...and Greed. There's nothing wrong with Father being a stand alone character... and there's more than enough room in the storyline for Hohenheim to have a proper relationship with both of them...just no body switching on his part. I'm going to give Envy a chance to respond since there's really nothing else Dante needs to say..)

(Let's just say, that when Envy called Father "Homunculus", he didn't mean it as his name, but what he is. It's like calling a dog "dog".)
(And I'm sorry for the delay, but I was of of and far away. But they won't lock me now, though.)
Envy’s face remained expressionless, but he could not fool somebody who knew him as long as Dante did. Rage and insanity crept into his eyes, and they glinted with cold murderous passion. “So, you want me to follow this Azerik and him?” he asked in low voice, almost at the edge of audibility. “I see. May I ask one thing? Since we know where that bastard is, is there any reason not to slaughter him like a goat? Is there really any use for him?!” He clutched his fists and breathed heavily. He rarely lost it, but when it came to his father, rage took over. He wanted to gut him, rip him open, hang his insides on a tree and invite some vultures for a feast.

"Now now Envy, we can't kill the horse before we know where it's headed. Besides you'd be wasting your time just killing him. I heard he's headed to Lior to meet up with his sons. Do you honestly want to kill the bird when you could destroy the whole nest? Despite Envy's heartless demeanor Dante knew more than well how to push his buttons. She wouldn't honestly let him kill Hohenheim before she was certain they where "done". Her feelings for Hohenheim where a mixture of sadness and rage fueled by a deep seeded rejection stemming to the core of her soul. She was torn between letting Envy destroy his "father" and trying to rebuild there "family". But these decisions would be made later. "Envy head to Lior as soon as possible, you don't want to miss your chance. "Dante was more than certain Envy wouldn't accomplish killing anyone...at least not while they where together. And that worked in her favor...she still needed them after all.

"If you like," Homunculus said as Dante finished giving Envy orders, "it would be much simpler to kidnap Hoenheim's traveling companion-Azerik did you say his name was-and use him as bait to bring Hoenheim to us. He must feel some sort of fondness for the boy if he's traveling with him...even if he doesn't, Hoenheim likes to think he's a righteous man, so he'll probably come anyway."

"We have to take his sons into account. And despite the fact that me and you can deal with Hohenheim there's no telling what he would disrupt if we brought him here. Besides Envy will make sure to scope out Azerik. Exactly how many alchemists do we need? Dante gave her signature smirk. The sound of creating such a massive and powerful philosopher's stone excited her. But she would never let herself be fooled. Under he callous self absorbed demeanor was a very vindictive strategist. And she would never be fooled, by anyone, no matter how much they looked like him .

"We need five Sacrifices," Homunculus said bluntly when Dante asked, "of course more are always welcome..keep in mind that the Sacrifices need to have seen the Gate Dante. Unless you can force Azerik-kun into opening the Gate, there's no point in taking interest."

"That may make our job much more difficult. Why can't we simply use mass sacrifice? It's much easier. To what benefit is sacrificing those who have seen the gate? Hohenheim and his sons would be the only sacrifices I could think of."

"My method will yield more powerful results," Homunculus stated simply, "and you obviously haven't done your research very well. Another potential sacrifice taught Hoenheim's sons. Izumi Curtis is an Alchemist you should know very well Dante."

(Ok the confusing thing about this is...are we pre-wrath or post wrath? Because that determines whether or not Dante would know she's seen the gate. And if it's post wrath than you just made me look extremely stupid.)

((Of course its post Wrath. The RP takes place roughly during the events of the series, not before or after. That means, Ed and Al have already been taught by Izumi, which means the 2003 canon creation of Wrath has been long past. Aside from that, I'm not saying Dante should know Izumi has seen the Gate, I'm just having Father make fun of her a bit ))

Dante winced at the sound of Izumi's name. It wasn't that Dante had some sort of grudge against her, but remembering her past student brought some rather discontent memories with it. Nonetheless Izumi wasn't the least bit important to Dante, after all if sacrificing Izumi was necessary to create the stone, Dante wouldn't think twice about it. While she was more than aware that all of these sacrifices would put up more than just a fight. Dante didn't give a second thought to dealing with their inferior alchemy. The only one she was mildly concerned about was Hohenheim...but Father would handle that. "If we know who the sacrifices will be then all we have left to do is round them up and kill anyone who gets in our way." Dante sighed, things like this where much easier said than done.

Envy crossed his arms and frowned. "I see. So this will be just one big family picnic. Fine, I will tail the bastard and his petty fool, as you desire. Is there anything else you would require from me, than to spy on them?" he added in a cold voice. He was not amused, and right now, he didn't give a damn what would Dante think. "And when can I get back to my normal duties?"

"Well, you could kill Azerik for us. They're in Lior currently and I don't expect them to leave anytime soon, so you'd better get going." Dante knew it was necessary to deal with Hohenheim's accomplices first, after all he was bad enough by himself.
