May ran to the water and pulled off a strand of grass-like plant and dipped it in the water. She breathed in very slowly then she quickly drew a transmutation circle. She quickly clapped her hands andhit the water before the Transmutation circle vanished. A stream of ice began forming and headed to the center of the lake. 5 other streams came from other sides of the lake and met in the center. Then water shot up from the center and into the air. It froze right in place. She looked at Ash.

"Thats only a little of what i can do," she said and smiled.

Ash looked on, and afterwards he replied to May's statement: "Looks like you have some talent. Alright then, let's see what else you can do." it sounded like he wasn't impressed at all.

She was feeling very cheerful then. She walked over to a Poppy. She shook out it's seed in the dirt and arranged a circle with the seeds. Then she clapped her hands. The ground opened up under the seeds and they dropped in. She walked over to the water and drew another circle. She hit the water and a small stream splashed up and shot over to the ground where the seeds were planted. Then she drew another circle in the damp dirt. She clapped her hands once more and once she hit the ground, poppies started poping up.

She picked one and walked over to Ash.

"Here," she said and handed him the flower. "You see," she explained," Im an alchemist that works with nature. Most things in nature i can transmute. Exept..."

Ash looked at the flower and then back at May and replied: "Excepet for what?"

"Er...Animals," She said quietly,"I'd rather not talk about that. If you dont mind." She sat down on the ground and began plucking up the grass. She didnt want to show this side of her. Expecially in front of a military official. She just felt so horrible now. She stood up and brushed off her clothes. "I think im done now," she said, tring to hold back tears,"Is there a place where i can stay? I have enough money i think to stay most places."

"Transmutation on animals are quit hard, I hear. Well you can always go to a hotel. By the way little girl i have to ask; have you ever considered becoming a state alchemist?"
He asked May.
"It looks like you have some skills that might let you in." he added.

"No," May said,"My mother never wanted me to be a dog of the military. Neither did my teacher. I might concider it though. I have to make some things right. Anyway thank you for your...er...hospitality and I think I'll stay at that," She pointed to a hotel called Central Hotel,"hotel. So you know where to find me if you need me. Thanks again." She picked up her things and ran over to her hotel. There she went up to her room and quickly fell asleap.

"Very well then. If you any other questions or need my help, here's my card so you can reach me." He handed May a card with a telephone nummer for his office line.
He then walked back towards his office.
