Upon returning to base, Roy and Riza quickly set to asking for volunteers to head back to Lior. They didn't want to have to wait for permission from the Fuhrer, so they did this in secret. And anyone who joined was sworn to secrecy under the pretense that it wasn't bad enough for the Fuhrer to be bothered with it.
Because of this, they were lucky to get the numbers they did. If none of the volunteers went AWOL they'd have 10 extra men to help Lior. Despite the fact that Roy and Riza both wanted a much higher number, they were pleased with the quality of each man, and all they could do was hope that they'd be all they needed.
Roy and Riza headed back to Lior with their reinforcements.

Sheska: Sheska was at her desk buried behind piles and piles of records. The central library had been burnt down and she had been asked to copy down what she knew from her photographic memory. It was allot of work and she was exhausted. She laid her head on her desk and closed her eyes. ((I know this jumps us up far in the story, close to Hughes death but its up to you guys if want to play it that way. If you want me to change this I can.))

ARCHER:
Notices the exhausted woman and being his cold, arrogant self drops some other files upon the already loaded desk.
"It's not even tea-time, private." He smirks. "And with you lagging about there won't even be time for adding suggar."
With that he comfortably seats himself in a big armchair by the window and looks just pure nuisance.

Sheska when hearing the heavy stacks of paper hit her desk, had swiftly looked up to see more documents in front of her.
"Oh no..." She mumbled out in triumph.
She saw that Frank Archer had made himself comfortable in the arm chair before her. That obviously meaning he was the one that had put them there.
"Uh...excuse me Mr. Frank Archer sir, can I please be excused to have a little break?" The brown haired woman question in a tiring voice.
((I'm new here, so I hope that's okay with the starting (lol ^^))

"Lt. Colonel Frank Archer, private. How long is it from your last break?" His features did not look concerned, just more unpleasant by the minute.

"Well um..." She hesitated, when seeing the clear disagreement look on his face.
Her attention goes to looking out the window to see the sun almost beginning to set. "I haven't been on a break since early this morning, it's now almost evening sir--uh I mean Lt. Colonel Frank Archer sir." She corrected herself.
"This is afterall a lot of stuff I have to remember..." She clarified with a harmless giggle. Hoping the man before her wouldn't take the words as in any other way offensive.

He leans forward, slowly, his eyes fixed on the target of the poor girl: "Remember one more thing then, private; you can always handle one more file extra before a break." He lifted his hand and flicked the topmost file, from the pile he brought, before Sheska. "Like this one. Then you can have a break."

Fear was sort of etched in Sheska eyes as she became silent, when seeing Archer had leaned in giving her more of that displeasing look.
She just wanted more then ever to lay her head down for just one min, but as seeing this man wasn't too light on words or better yet people's feelings, she knew that wasn't going to happen.
"Yes sir..." She finally gave in tiredly and yet lowly, while taking the file from his hands.
She then begins to look through it, trying to decipher up what she remembered, though every now and then her eyes would seemed to become even more exhausted, as she wrote down on the paper.

Satisfied with asserting his authority, he picks up one of the complete works and flicks through it. Not that he would understand alchemical texts, but he was not ignorant of alchemy. Afterall, a well positioned alchemist in a battle can make a hell of a difference to its outcome.
He made a mental note that it wouldn't be a waste of time to have some alchemists' loyalties for his own purpouses. After all: 'Luck patronizes those, whom are prepared.'

Sheska wearily averted her eyes slightly over to Archer, when seeing him take one of the completed tasks.
She was hoping he would have left the area or something by now, because with him being there it wasn't very welcoming at all. She had heard around from other military personnels that this guy had no real good intentions. That only war was what he seeked for. Which that probably could explain why she could hardly even talk to him straightforwardly.
This man gives me the creeps... She said within her mind, uneasily.

Armstrong had just walked back into the headquarters of the military looking around. "Now where did those two head off two now?" thought Armstrong, thinking about where the Elric boys could be at that particular moment. He had just stepped into the area, before he looked at Archer. "I always have a bad feeling about that man" thought Armstrong as he showed no emotion, fear, or anger towards Archer, just saluting to him normally. "Good day Lieutenant Colonel" said Armstrong, looking at him closely.

Sheska when noticing Armstrong enter in, kind gave off a somewhat sigh of relief, since that made her not be the only one present in the area with Archer.
"Good evening, Major Armstrong sir." She greeted out to him kindly, when seeing him give out the salute to Archer.
Then with turning her attention back to the file work, she begins to get back down to deciphering it, even with how exhausted she really was.

Maes Hughes was walking through the halls. His work was starting to bore him and he wanted to go talk to someone.
He walked through the halls and saw a small group, he smiled some. He did love being around people. Maes walked closer with a big smile on his face.
"Hello! How is everyone this fine day!" He gave a smile and a big wave. He saw Archer and his smile falled some, he really did not like that guy. There was something about him that annoyed Maes.

[Hey! Everybody already hates me? Good progress - MUHAHAHA!]
Satisfaction. It was very satisfying to know you've just ruined somebody's good moment. He stood up and greeted his fellow Lt. Colonel (Erm... I guess Maes would have that rank by now...?)
"Anything worthwile mentioning as to the matters of the military, Lt. Colonel Hughes?"
He eyed the jolly man with a neutral look. But it wouldn't be hard to believe that underneath that perfect mask was a sneer. But belief is not proof. At least he didn't get cute baby girl pictures stuffed up his nose. Archer hated children and hated their parents. It was a sign of treason to him when a man of the military married and produced children - it was a display of 'there are more important matters to me than serving my country, nanana!'
He kept his face neutral.

Maes couldn't help but sneer some. He really did not like this guy, there was something evil about him. He made his skin crawl everytime Maes had to be around him.
"Not at the present time." He said quietly and turned to Sheska. "And how have you been?" He smiled at her, he really didn't like Archer being so close to her and him.
((I hate the two guys you play lol so you will not worry about hate here. *nods*))

Looking up swiftly from the paper work, Sheska gave out a brightening smile to Maes, since she was happy to see him.
"Good evening Lt. Colonel Hughes sir, it's nice to see you!" Sheska said, with a returning smile.
Though her smile had also somewhat begin to die down when hearing him question her that, since she still noticed the heavy load of paperwork before her. That she also have not yet had a break from.
"And well uh...I've been pretty fine...I guess." She stated with uncertainty, while looking slightly away.

[Oh come on, look beneath the shell. They are both pretty adorable Psychology. See how Archer is now, it's the fault of his social backround - family. Probably harsh potty training as well - Freud And poor Tucker - under so much peer pressure. Everybody expecting the best and no fail. One is about to collapse from stress overload. Then you do stupid things you later regret.] That had been far too much smiling (and good guys) and people he did not think too highly [if at all] about in one room for him. "Excuse me while I take my leave" He still needed to attend to businesses of his own. "Major Armstrong" He adressed the man over his shoulder, "Report your presence at my office at 2100." "Private" He addressed Sheska, "I expect the materials I have given you in my office in the morning." With that he left.

Sheska let out a (another) sigh of relief, once Archer took his exit. The area now didn't seem to be fill with so much tension in the air.
Ohh...He's never going to give me a break over this stuff... She said within her mind wearily. Though nonetheless she turned her attention back to Hughes, where a relieved smile was then replaced upon her face.
"Heh...thanks alot sir, for coming in when you did." Sheska stated with much gratitude, since she was sure it must have drove Archer out of the room.

Armstrong simply replied to Archer with a slight grunt, meaning he understood. He then showed a small salute to Sheska and Hughes, as he sat down in one of the many chairs, the chair creaking under his size. "So, how have you guys been?" he asked, trying to start up a conversation between himself, Sheska and Hughes.

Sheska lets in a sigh, before giving answer to Armstrong. "I've been alright so far Major sir. Just been having minor headaches from trying to remember all this stuff." She said with a slight laugh.
She actually wish she could say lately that she's been super, but that was really far from the issue. Archer had practically been on her case about these files for a week now. And yet on top of that, he kept bringing in more of them to torture her with.
