"Yeah, and thanks.....Kain, right?" she asked, wondering what his first name was. In reality, she'd probably always refer to him by his surname. But, it was a good idea to find out. You know, just in case something happened to him and the police/hospital wanted to know his name.
Marco was walking when he bumped into Hughes. "Hello" he said, looking at the fatherly man. "Are you Maes Hughes?"

"Yes. I am... Do you know where I can find my wife." he asked by way of a reply. "I'm heard she collapsed here in the hospital." he said anxiously looking frantic

Marco nodded. "Yes, but she'll be perfectly fine. She's just a little stressed and the baby didn't react well to that. Just make sure she relaxes" he told Hughes simply.

Nodding Marco led Hughes to where Gracia and Elysia were. "Here you go" he said, openning the door, motioning for Hughes to go inside.

Barry waved slightly from where he sat at a chair and grinned. "Well well, if its not the big man himself. I was watching your wife and kid for ya. Good thing we were already at the hospital to take care of Wrath, eh?" He said almost mockingly but subtle enough it wasn't obvious.

Maes just gave Barry a sharp look, unlike Gracia he didn't trust the ex-serial killer but eh wasn't going to make it painfully obvious. "Thank you for you help, Barry.," he said politely, grabbing Elysia in a hug, "IO knwo you're more worried about your buddy Wrath why don't you go back to his room, darling?" he said a goofy happy smile on the estatic father's face.
Elsysi merely nodded and ran off back to wrath's room
Maes stood by the bed, stroking Garcia softly, "Hmmm..."
Gracia soon woke up, "I-I'm sorry.."

Barry was behind Hughes and arched his brow. "Why? You're the one who fainted. Your daughter was worried, but you couldn't have picked a better place to pass out."

Maes laughed, "Yeah, Gracia, you didn't do anythingw rong.. Go bakc to sleep, love." he said gently making her lay her head back down on the pillow...
Soon, gentle snores could be heard coming from Gracia
Elysia ran all the way bakc to Wrath's room, bringing snacks from teh snack machine with her.

Barry smirked just a little as he leaned back in the chair he had taken up. "So.. where were you today then? I mean, I'm sure if you HAD been here, you would have happily driven them to the hospital. Not that I minded such a thing.." He said, a bit egging him on and acting smug at the same time.

Maes raised an eyebrow... "It's not really any of your buisiness. But if you must know, I was at work.. I just got off work to find everybody gone, a loud stench in the rec room. I was actually ehre to check on Martel, but then I found out about Gracai." he said looking at the woman with misty eyes

Barry then gave a very shrewd but eagar grin as he sat back and chuckled. "You shouldn't have been worried. Afterall, she was with me." Oh yeah, he knew it was the wrong thing to say. But he doubted the man would attack him in the same room that his sick wife was sleeping.

Maes eyes narrowed as his hand lowered to the knife that was in his pocket but he forced himself to calm down, "Even as that may be... I will always be worried about my darling Gracia and my precious Elysia. Even more so, now taht we have another little one on it's way." He said a steely hard glint of anger in his eyes

Barry smirked playfully as he tilted his head to the side and stared at the man infront of him who was getting angrier and angrier. "Afterall, if I simply.. 'laid a hand on her' in the most innocent of fashions you couldn't legally do a thing in this world."

Barry chuckled amusingly and didn't move from his comfortable position. "Or what? You'll have me arrested when I didn't do anything? Or are you going to use that little tiny knife of yours, then have to explain to your wife why you felt the need to injure someone who's never done her any harm." He seemed rather entertained by the conversation as he looked at Maes, almost asking the man to put this threat into action.
