Wrath sighed in content as he was held in Scar's arms. To tell the truth, he only felt like this twice in his life before now. Once when he was being held by Izumi Curtis, and once when he was held by Sloth. It was a good feeling, though.

"Well its what makes you so likeable. You're trusting and always sincere." Barry grinned and closed the door to the car and made sure it was locked before following them into the hospital, only then did he realize he never washed from that evening and still reaked from the butcher shop. Oh well, it was too late to worry about such detail.

Bradley stared at his subordinate in surprise for a moment before regaining his composure. Needless to say that wasn't something he was expecting to hear. "Of course you have my permission! Though you must understand I am surprised, since I was under the persuasion that you were of a different sexual orientation," he said, referencing his relationship with Kimblee.

Frank scratched behind his head with a bit of discomfort. "Ah..yes..Kimblee. Well, the man is unstable to say the least. But I am certainly not immune to the charms of the right kind of woman. The Lady is most charming, has exquisite manners..and she loves tea. And I'm sure that's just for starters."

Bradley paused thoughtfully, then nodded. "Well, I believe we should depart for Mr. Magrace's chateau now. One last thing I need to be sure of: You do know Lady Dante's true identity, correct?"

Frank furrowed his brow in confusion. "Her true identity? Whatever do you mean?" he said as he followed the Fuhrer.

Bradley sighed softly as he stepped out of the precinct, knowing that he had a lot of explaining to do. "Tell me what you already know about Lady Dante, and I'll fill in the rest. That should make things easier."

Frank explained what little he knew of Lady Dante to the Fuhrer. " Well..I knew nothing of her existence until I came over to this godforsaken side of the gate. I was rather surprised to learn that she was the creator of all those homunculi. They all cower in fear before her...while most humans cower in fear them. She has a firm disciplinary hand with them." he went on as he pounded his fist in his palm to explain his point, "that is good. One must keep a firm upper hand at all times." he found himself going on, almost unaware of the Fuhrer at the moment. "She is powerful..and yet she pulls it off with such..delicacy..such grace. She is...fascinating."

The Fuhrer nodded gently as he stepped onto the sidewalk. "A small correction, Colonel: Lady Dante did not create all of the Homunculi. Homunculi are products of failed human transmutation. She seeks them out from the moment they are born, feeds them incomplete shards of the Philosophers Stone, and recruits them to serve in her legion."
Bradley paused briefly for effect before continuing. "Lady Dante only created two homunculi personally: Greed, the father of that blonde woman's children, and me. I am the homunculus Pride, Lady Dante's masterpiece. I was created specifically to control the military to further her ends. She had control of the state even before I was created, using the homunculus Envy to impersonate previous Fuhrers and high-ranking officials. Are you following me so far?"

Frank simply stared at the Fuhrer with a slack jaw, unable to reply for a moment.."Now wait...let me get this straight. You? Are a homunculus?" the implications almost stunned him completely. His mind reeled backward over the past in Amestris, military actions that seemed to make no sense suddenly seemed clearer to him-not that he cared-but now it seemed to make more sense. It was a war of ethnic cleansing..for a reason other than pure hatred..Evolution was happening. He could understand-and live-with that. He addressed the Fuhrer resolutely. "Fuhrer Bradley...homunculus or no..you are still...Fuhrer."

Bradley smiled slightly at Archer's latest demonstration of loyalty, then went on, "Lady Dante is over four hundred years old and is one of the two creators of the original Philosopher's Stone, the other being Hohenheim of Light, father of the Fullmetal Alchemist. In order for a Philosopher's Stone to be created, human lives are needed. To this end, Lady Dante used me to wage as many wars as possible, such as the Ishbal and Lior campaigns, in hopes of motivating a desperate alchemist to create the Stone for her. The reason she doesn't create it herself is because the process is normally fatal to the transmuter."
Bradley paused, noticing a taxi driving down the road. He hailed the cab, then went on explaining, "You see, Archer, Lady Dante needs the Philosopher's Stone to keep on living so she can keep humanity from destroying itself. She has survived for so long by using the Philosopher's Stone to transfer from one body to another. The vessel she is currently wearing is a girl named Lyra, a former subordinate of mine who served in Youswell under Lieutenant Yoki."

"Fullmetal!?" he exclaimed, then went on in a confidential tone, "tell me, is that why he was allowed to be a state alchemist at such a young age? Or was it really due to his ability to transmute without a circle?"
His mind continued to reel with all the implications involved. Some things still made no sense to him though.."Fuhrer...you say she wants to stay alive to keep humanity from destroying itself..but..excuse me for sounding obtuse, but...isn't she effectively doing that when she kills them off in such massive numbers? Does she foresee even greater numbers dying unless the sheer number she kills off are..sacrificed?" To Frank, war was about territories and stimulating the economy, so he had a hard time wrapping his mind around this concept.

"The reason Fullmetal was allowed to join the military was because of his ties to Hohenheim of Light," Bradley elaborated. The cab he was hailing stopped for an older gentleman, causing the Fuhrer to sigh in mild annoyance.
He returned his attention to Archer and went on with his long explanation, "I see your point, but the lives lost in the conflicts started for the sake of the Philosopher's Stone are necessary martyrs. To put it simply, they're being sacrificed for a greater cause. The Philosopher's Stone has power far greater than any weapon ever forged, and if it were handed over to the humans, they would use it to destroy themselves. She lives on to make sure that will never happen."
Seeing another cab, Fuhrer Bradley hailed it, and sighed in relief when it actually stopped for him. Sitting in the back, he motioned for Archer to get in. "I have a feeling that you are going to like Lady Dante's colleague. I've only met him once, but I must say he is... quite an interesting man, to say the least."

Frank sat next to the Fuhrer in the back seat of the cab and a light dawned in his mind. He whispered to him in a low voice to keep their conversation from being overheard by the cab driver. "This world has no alchemy such as that in Amestris...and yet they have fear inspiring weapons of mass destruction, like nuclear weapons. I saw a demonstration of their power on the history channel once...is it something like that that the lady wished to forestall?"

After Martel had her babies Mustang felt like he needed a walk to clear his head. When he got back to the house he was shocked to find everyone was gone. Damn. Something must have happened to Martel. I bet they went to the hospital. He raced out to the garge but only to find his car was gone. Crap, now I am postive something must have happened. He was about to head in side and call a cab when he eyed Dante's car. He walked over to it and was happy to find the keys were still in the ignition. Thank you, you old bat. Although he knew she will flip on him when she found out he didn't care, being there for some who may even be a friend is more important. He pulled out of the driveway and onto the road. He began driving to the hospital not sure what he would find when he got there.

Havoc had apparently fallen asleep during his conversation with Martel and Scar. He woke to find the house rather empty and pretty much trashed. Walking through the place he suddenly noticed the Colonel out in the driveway, apparently intent on taking Dante's car. Figuring he was already too late for that job at the club, he dashed out the door. Standing in the middle of the road, he watched as Dante's car got further away. ((I feel bad i missed out on the birth of the kids ))

Turning away from Dante's car, Havoc looked to the unknown woman. She was pretty good looking, this caused him to grin before confusion took over his face. "Uh?What boy?"

"The boy!" she exclaimed "He had long black hair and beautiful violet eyes. He was badly beaten! If that is the way children are treated here, I have half a mind to leave right now!" she said looking upset at the very thought that somone was evil enough to beat a child.. He reyes willed up.. "He looked to be in such pain." a wail was heard from the bundle of blankets she held in her amrs, "Sshhhh.." she cooed a happy and peaceful smile on her face

"Wha? Wrath got beaten? Goddamnit!"That pissed Havoc off bad, if it turned out to be someone in this house, he'd kick their ass for sure. The wailing calmed him down, he walked off the road and over to the girl. Wrapped up in the blanket was a small baby. Havoc held out his pinky in front of the child with a gentle smile "Hiya." "I think they probably took him to the hospital."Havoc said, getting back on topic "I'm not really sure where it is though, uh, what was your name?"
