Befriending a Beast

"Nice to meet you Dorochet," Tai said in a friendly tone. He kept his guard up, though. He didn't like the look this guy was giving him. Plus, he was probably not saying anything because what he wanted to say wouldn't sound right in front of Greed. Tai would have to be careful with this one.

"Mind explaining who took Martel, and what she looks like?" Tai asked. "Can't exactly blunder in the dark and get killed, now can I? I wouldn't be of any service if that were to happen. I think that's all the information I need at the moment, so after you give me those answers I should be good for awhile."

Now...how am I gonna make an exit? I transmuted us underground...

"The bitch who took her is an old hag, though how long that'll last, I have no idea" Greed said with a slight shrug. "Her name's Dante and let's say she really enjoys playing dress-up". At his little joke, he chuckled under his breath.

X was walking around lost like all ways and ready for something bad to happen like it all ways did it looked like it was going to rain and that made X feel great. X loved T-storms they all ways made him feel stornger. " i wounder where the hell i am now it looks like some were in down town and i want up town. why do i all ways get lost" he said sighing .

Tai walked over to the wall and pressed his fingertips to it. Instantly the wallpaper warped, the dirt around it solidifying into a material mass. A hole opened up, and the dirt shifter upwards, to the ground of civilization. After the task was done Tai wiped some sweat from his brow and ascended the stairs, motioning for everybody to follow him.

"If you want me to help save Martel, you're going to have to come with me," he insisted, sunlight filtering onto his face from loose mud. "Otherwise we'll have nothing to go by./ Dorochet, Greed, are you coming?"

Tai broke the surface and wiped the dirt off as he touched solid ground. He went out into the streets only to see a storm approachin them mid-mission. What's more was a boy was standing in the middle of the road, a silver pocketwatch gleaming on his belt.

"Damn it," Tai swore silently. It was too late to stop the boy from seeing him or the pocketwatch at his own belt. He would have to hope that Greed and Dorochet would keep a low profile...

Greed nodded slightly. He still wasn't sure if they could trust this guy, but he really wanted Martel and his kids back. "Come on Dorochette" he said, following Tai outside.

The dog chimera sighed and growled a little in annoyance but followed after his boss and new co-worker.

X pulled out the watch that was given to him from his father ,and some what yelled to him self "how am i going to join the state if i cant even find it H.Q. " then he felt that some one was watching him and turned around to see who it was.,

"Stay low," Tai whispered to Greed and Dorochet. "If you want proof that I've joined you, then now's the perfect time to show it if you'll listen to me. I'll distract him while you two head over to Eastern Command. I'll meet you there when I can. Go, now!"

Tai walked over to the boy, and shone his silver pocketwatch to him.

"Tai Sky, The Albus Alchemist, Lnt. Colonel of Eastern Command," he said fashionablly. "Sorry to trouble you, but might I ask what you are doing here? This place is under my personal guard. If you are looking for something, I will do my best to help you...what's with the look? I know I'm only 17, but I'm still a Lnt. Colonel."

The Homunculus looked to his companion. No way in Hell were they going to walk all the way to East City from Dublith. Maybe Tai had meant Southern Command, but until he cleared it up, they weren't moving. Besides, Dorochet was anxious to see how this guy worked and who the new person was.

[Seth Tigrine]

Seth had been taking a stroll through the side streets, when he saw someone familiar. Well, as familiar as uniforms get. And so he watched as the man entered the pub. It wasn't a strange occurence for the military to go to bars, pubs, or like places to relieve stress, but this man entered carefree. This still warrants little curiosity, but Seth picked up minor details like that and cared very much about them. After a few minutes, he was about to go into the bar for a quick look-see.

However, just as he put his hand on the door handle, the entire building shuttled underground. What? The Thunder Alchemist was shocked by the occurence. Its not every day the local bar dissappears. Seth knew that it was alchemy, but what alchemist would do this? What or whom were they hiding? Well, Seth intended to find out. He never took his 'duty' seroiusly, but curiosity was the motive of this exploration. He ducked on the other side of where the building used to stand, and waited.

After waiting for a few minutes, he was prepared to thunder his way into the ground. But this time, stairs appeared in front of the empty plot of land. Out walked an alchemist, identified by his face, 'The Albus Alchemist', along with 2 others. One was easily a chimera, and the other.......A Homunculus! This was going to be interesting. He watched as the alchemist stood up to another, whilst the other two ducked away. Seth had had too much waiting around. Now was a time for action.

Walking out from a building adjacent to the one the homunculus and chimera were hiding. He addressed Tai Sky from behind him. "You know, Liuetenant Colonel, if you were planning to betray the State, you should be less conspicuous. Your friends back there, and yourself make it so obvious." As he spoke about the hiding ones, he pointed back at them. Within a few seconds, an explosion of thunder was created in front of them. And then he pointed to Tai, and the same happened. "I'll take three birds with ones stone...."

Greed had activated his sheild, so he wasn't really effected by the blast. Dorochet had been knocked over, but since he hadn't hit anything, he was more or less okay. Just a little shaken up. Once he recovered from the attack, the two of them moved to somewhere else to watch the fun unfold between Seth, Edward, and Tai.

"Please, Seth," Tai mused as the electricity disipated into thin air. An earthen wall had been blown apart by the lightning. Tai had just barely been able to arise it from the ground before Seth had made his attack. "Do you honestly think I'm going to betray the State? I worked hard for this position. No, I'm merely helping a citizen locate his wife and child. It appears that there is some kind of hideous plot within our government we are not aware of."

Tai turned away from Edward Cullen and repocketed his silver pocketwatch. He faced Seth with the upmost hinesty in his crystal blue eyes.

"I don't want, but I think the Fuhrer has something to do with what's been going on lately. Greed and Dorochet here haven't said everything, but it's become clear to me that something's happening within the military, and if that is true then there's a good chance the Fuhrer President is involved. I am conducting my own investigation. I would appreciate your assistance, Major Tigrine. Greed, I know you don't trust him, but you trust me, and I'm saying that we need all the help we can get."

"Apparently Mr. Cullen needs to get involved, too, because he is witness to all of this. I will explain all later. Right now we need to get transportation to East City. Until then, please keep the fireworks under control. Heaven forbid I would have to neutralize the source of your power."

Tai was the one who had taught Seth to use his thunder alchemy. He knew very well how to diasble it. He hoped it wouldn't come to that, though.

The Homunculus was hesitant, but he walked over to the three alchemists. Dorochet followed suit, lead by his loyalty to Greed.

"Well, I'm not going to keep them from betraying me" Greed said, lowering his shield and looking to Tai. "That's your job, Albus".

X just stud in the street not paying any cation to lost in thought to engulfed in his memory's to see what was going on. When he heard what sounded like thunder and looked around back in the world of the living he saw what looked like a fight going to start, but X was did not care about fighting at this moment it was going to rain ant second. x walked over to a house and climbed it and went to the roof and stud their waiting to see it all started

"i don't not know why i want to join the state so much i don't even like to fight. I would rather spend my time learning about the world." he said laying down knowing that something was going to go down soon. "maybe i should help them and try to stop what ever going to happen, but it dose not concern me so i should leave well enough alone. " he said looking to the sky

[Seth Tigrine]

Seth scowled lightly as the wall of earth was blown apart by his attack. Since that attack didn't hit, that meant the other had a chance to talk. Speech wasn't his favorite aspect of life, by far. Now the Albus began to explain himself. How droll. Seth did listen though, as Tai told him that he would never betray the State. Though the initial statement he gave had various holes in it, he wouldn't hold it against his teacher for the time-being. Soon enough, the point to The Liuetenant Colonel was shown.

Need my help, huh? Well, with a Homunculus, a chimera, and 2 alchemists it's more like 'want'. The Major saw something walking up from where his first blast of thunder went. Undoubtedly, the Chimera and Greed. Just by looking at his body after the blast, he could tell that a battle with him would have just ended in Seth's death. Although he expected some sort of snarky remark from Greed, he received nothing but a careless statement. Was he really that trusting or just lazy?

"Well, let's get this straight Liuetenant Colonel. Though your purpose seems benine, a Homunculus hardly counts as a 'citizen', and I'm not so ecstatic about having another one of them around. And our place is not to question our military, but to serve it unflinchingly." After saying this, he sighed and ran his left hand through his hair, showing his headband a bit more. "But mincing details won't get us anywhere. You've piqued my curiosity. I'll go; but if I ever feel that my position in the State is threatened, or anything I deem unfit or immoral, I'll have to leave." He'd said at least ten times more than he usually did, so he was gonna can it and wait to follow the group.

Tai expected as much of a response from Seth. You never would find a person more dedicated to the State then him. And if you did, you would be hard-pressed in doing so. However, he had to laugh at his student's attempts at threatening.

"Seth, of course you know by now my thoughts of a 'citizen' vary from the State's," he remarked slyly. "And you should be well aware of why my title is the 'Albus' Alchemist. It means caring, willing to help others in times of need without thinking of one's own safety. Greed needed help, I wanted some adventure, that's all there is to it."

"And if a conspiracy within the military," Tai mused as he went to a payphone and ordered a train ticket package for 2:00 PM that day, "Then things will be sao more the better. Besides, it'll give me a chance to catch up with your studies. Oh, and get that man down from the building. It's about to storm, I believe." He pointed to the sinister clouds above.

[Greed]

[shadow=red,left,300][glow=red,2,300] ((I can't even express how sorry I am for the lack of my attendance. I have been having issues with family, and among other things. My computer crashed, so I had to reformat it. I am back, and this time there should be no problems. The true Greed, is back!! > = D Well, that is if I am taken back. >>; Lol.))

Greed, looked at the group of alchemists in the for-front of his own form. His mouth allowed a small grin to play upon it.

"Ya' know. Before this shit happened, I would'a killed ya' lot on sight. I held no side. Nothing even close to that. So, don't mistake this "gesture of kindness" we will call it. For weakness. I need help. And apparently, so do ya'. This is like business. Ya' help me, I help ya's back. Whatever happens on da' way, just happens."

He said, in what would be his old self. In order to get what he wanted, he had to return to his old ways. And being sympathetic, was never one of his strong points. So, he changed back to his old self, to do what was necessary.
He raised the hand, of which his Homunculus seal was on, and clenched a fist out of it before himself. As in gesture of a would be meaningful gesture.

"Yeah, I am a Homunculus. What of it? If ya' got a problem, to bad. Ya' need, me just as much as I need ya'. So, don't try anything fancy."

That was his older way of saying, 'Don't stab me in the back. I am just to proud to say that it might be good to have new comrades.' And about the only people who could decipher what he was saying, would be his older comrades. The point was, he was going through with this. However, he was back. The old Greed, was back. So, even if this was a motion to join forces. He was still on his toes, and keeping an eye on what was going on. He was not about to be left out of the game. And in the heat of the moment. He said,

"Greed, is back! And ready to play! Anything that gets in my way, may whatever god they believe in! Help their ass, cause I ain't gonna'!"

He said this, while clenching his fist. His gaze traveled back to the people before him. Now that his moment has passed, he was ready. He was smirking like he used to, and his all about look had reverted back to normal.

"Now, shall we get going? I would hate fo' any o' ya' to pussy out now."

He said with eminence sarcasm. Which if was needed to be translated by a older member of Greed's group. This would be his way of saying, 'C'mon, we're all cool. And I got a plan.'
His gaze was unforgiving, as he looked at them from behind his ebony shades. His smirk simply grew to over his face, implying that he was actually finally back. [/glow][/shadow]

Dorochet shook his head slightly. "You sure this is a good idea?" he asked his boss, quietly enough so the others wouldn't hear. "We have no idea what they could do to us. Besides, we don't even know if Martel's still......" He trailed off then, certain that he didn't have to explain.

[Greed]

Greed, glared daggers at the one who he considered one of his closest companions. It's true, that Dorochet was for the most part his 'voice of reason.' However, in such a case as this. Greed, was going to do whatever it took to get Martel back to safety. The metaphorical daggers, of which was being glared at the close friend of Greed's. Was not only meant for the fact he was doubting Greed's intentions. But, the fact Dorochet was also implying that Martel could possibly be dead. Which Greed was unable to even consider, much less attempt to give reason to.
Even with the shot of anger he felt for Dorochet, at the moment. He knew, Dorochet was only having Greed's safety as well in mind.

"Just trust me, I know what I am doing."

He said, much in the same way Dorochet did. However, even due to the fact he was totally pissed at the chimera at the moment. The tone of voice of which he said this in, was sincere and had a very slight sense of compassion.

Dorochet smiled slightly, despite himself. He was really hoping that Martel would be okay, but from what he could tell, she couldn't use her abilities and didn't even have her knife. There was nothing she could do to defend herself if they attacked her. "So....where do you think they would've taken her?" he asked his boss hesistantly.
