This particular evening was surprisingly dark; heavy smong obscured the brilliant stars that normally pervaded the sky, and the luminous moon was nowhere to be seen. It was a night of complete and utter darkness, the kind of night that would bring a chill to the bones. The dim street lights that lined the lane offered no relief from the unsettling blackness, and served only to give the scene a ghostly luminescence.
Eltana adored nights like these, for they reminded him so much of himself. And they were the perfect setting for his favorite sport.
He was sitting in the back of the only car going down the street, chin resting on his gloved hand and eyes glued to the window. His clothing was of the extravagant sort, consisting of a scanty black dress with a fluffy black collar and similar cuffs. A beaked headdress adorned with numerous glimmering black and purple feathers adorned his head, concealing most of his face. Draped around his exposed shoulders was a golden necklace encrusted with numerous rubies, a trinket obviously of great value.
Leaning forward, he reached into a compartment behind the driver's seat and pulled out a box of perfumed cigarettes. He lit one and put it between his painted violet lips before returning his attention to the window, examining the darkness for the slightest signs of movement.
A few minutes passed before the effeminate man spoke up: "Lorenzo..." his sensual voice floated through the car; "I've found one! Crippled old codger, fifty points!"
The car turned around that very instant, its headlights shining on an old woman carrying a bag of groceries with one arm and holding a walker with the other. She squinted her eyes in the blinding light, curious as to why the car had stopped. Before she knew it the car was speeding toward her without showing any signs of stopping. Letting out a terrified scream, the woman dropped her bag and threw herself onto the nearest sidewalk, barely avoiding the oncoming vehicle.
Eltana stepped out of the car a moment later and rested his hands on his hips, clicking his tongue in disappointment as he examined the old woman. She was clasping her knee and grinding her teeth together, tears of fright streaming down her face. "So close, Lorenzo! You missed her by a hair!" he told his driver, who cursed angrily in response. "But don't fret, the night is young! There are so many more pedestrians just waiting to be run down."

Rose had just turned the corner when she saw the woman nearly run over. Hearing the man's... Woman's.... It's remark, she stepped back, quickly, frightened. Fultilly hiding next to a lamp post she watched the dark one. She was shivering slightly, not form the temperature, more so the crazed human she was looking at. She fidgeted barely, trying to keep her shoes from rubbing against the ground.

Eltana began walking back toward his automobile, no longer interested in the helpless old woman, but stopped when he caught a glimpse of a figure lingering beside a nearby lamp post. He rested his bright amber eyes on his newest target, cocking his head to the side.
"Lorenzo..." he called out to his driver in a playful, yet decidedly seductive tone.
"Aye, boss?" Lorenzo stuck his head out the window and looked at Eltana, unable to discern what his master was looking at.
Eltana made no reply to his assistant, and instead began slowly backing up toward the car, his eyes never moving from Rose. His masquerade costume made him look like a demon ripped straight from the bowels of hell as he slowly moved through the darkness.
When he was close enough to the car, he took a deep breath and bellowed out as loud as he possibly could: "LORENZO, START UP THE CAR! FRESH MEAT!" Darting over to the passenger seat door, he tried opening it, only to find that it was locked. "Why did you lock the door, you idiot!?" he shrieked in frustration.

Rose looked in shock at Eltana and began to panic, her eyes darting left and right. She quickly took off towards a back alley. "Why me? What did I do?" She asked herself, attempting to clamber behind some trash cans.

Eltana continued pulling on the handle in a vain attempt to open the door, muttering curses to himself all the while. He was not going to let his prey get away from him.
After Lorenzo leaned over and opened the door, he plopped down into the seat and slammed the door shut. Pointing in the direction Rose just ran, he smiled at his driver. "Just follow her for now. I want to have a little fun before we turn her into roadkill..."
Lorenzo nodded and slammed his foot on the pedal, speeding after Rose.

Rose teared up in fear, failing to hide herself amongst the cans. "I don't want to get run over..." She said in a childish tone, dashing on to the next alleyway. She froze in fear as she heard the car, and tried to hide herself in shadows not too far off.

Eltana watched as his prey desperately tried to avoid the car, arms folded against his chest. His eyes were narrowed and he did not look too amused.
"Something bothering ya, boss?" Lorenzo asked as he slammed on the pedal again and speeded toward the shadows Rose was hiding in, making sure to barely miss her.
"She's not making this any fun for me!" Eltana growled, slamming a gloved fist against the dashboard.

Rose screamed as the car whizzed by, bursting into tears, muttering don't kill me. She stood up and began to run again, away from the car, screaming for help. "I didn't do anything to deserve this!"(  My posts feel too short) |

Eltana rolled the window down and stuck his head out, glaring at Rose from behind the vizer of his ornate headdress. "You're not doing it right! How can I have any fun if you aren't even gonna give me a challenge?" he hissed.
Lorenzo, meanwhile, slowed the car to a stop.
(Don't worry about it, threads like this don't really require detailed posts.)

Rose turned around and stared at the it. "Why are you doing this?!" She called out, standing with her thighs slammed shut, hands together, folded, pressing against her abdomen.

An unsettling grin crept onto his face. "Why, you ask? Simple! You peasants exist only for the benefit of aristocrats like me. I find great enjoyment in hunting you down like the worthless animals you are."

Eltana grimaced when she started to cry. "Spare me the waterworks! How pathetic are you? Never in my life have I had the misfortune of hunting such miserable prey."
Lorenzo drummed his fingers on the wheel, waiting for the order to resume the chace.

Rose just stood there in fear. "Stop it! Just stop it!" She cried out to nobody, holding her head. Tears were running down her cheeks.

Eltana rested his cheek against his knuckles as he watched the girl break into hysterics, not in the slightest bit amused. "Are you quite finished with your tantrum? Because I would like to resume our game before Hell freezes over."

Rose gritted her teeth, flushed and insulted. "I hate you!" She yelled, spinning on her heel. She dashed in the opposite direction and turned a corner into another alleyway, wiping tears.

"And so the hunt continues! Onward, my Lorenzo!" Eltana laughed as he pulled his head back into the car. Lorenzo started up the car again and turned it around, then headed after Rose at great speed.

Rose ran in front of a light post, waiting for the car to turn around the corner. She stood there in anger, staring at it, waiting for it to get close.

Eltana raised an eyebrow curiously when he saw Rose standing in front of the lamp post, waiting for the car to get closer. "It seems our prey has a pair, after all!"
Lorenzo pressed his foot against the pedal, heading toward Rose at full speed.

Rose sidestepped when she realized the car was close enough, hoping it would run into the street lamp. She began to backpedal nontheless. "Please work, please work..."
