Hawkeye glanced at Kimblee, slightly caught off guard by the question, but reaching into the bag she was "forced" to carry around, she reached in, grabbed the nail-file, and handed it to him.
Sheska looked at her superior, her eyes wide like a rabbit's from behind her thick glasses. "I don't know if I could do it, sir..." she said, taking the books anyway, "B-but I'll try..." TAking the books, she put them on her head, watching them carefully as she tried to walk. She failed at least five times, before succeeding. "Hey, I did it!" she said, as she took several steps forward... but in her excitement at the accomplished task, she nearly fell over a dictionary that was lying on the floor. She gave a startled gasp and went to catch the books that came tumbling off her brown hair.

Envy merely watched and waited to see what Barry would do, buzzing about and hovering his tiny flea wings in place. ”What’s taking him so long? Is he thinking of a way of how to backstab me? A way to escape? He’s taking his sweet time here. . .I don’t like it. He could just be absorbing all this, but he doesn’t strike me as the sorta guy who would need much time to. He’s simple, down to basics. Just a mad butcher, right? Either way, he better hurry up and do –something- before I change my mind. . .He’s extremely lucky that I offered him a way out of this alive.”.
”Either way, I don’t have any need to worry. . .I’m just being paranoid again. There’s no way he could escape or kill me, and even if he told the others they’d probably just think he was crazy, seeing he’s a psychopath butcher. Even then, none of em are even remotely close to being threats, sides Kimblee, and he shouldn’t be –too- much trouble. . .”.
Despite not being able to think of any reason as to how they could stop him, time seemed to go on forever for these brief moments as he waited for Barry to go back into the door. Envy was getting more and more impatient as time flew by, although that was probably in his nature. Still, he didn’t have forever to watch Barry. Soon the train’s path wouldn’t be intersecting with his and he’d have to leave.

Zolf took the nail file and peeled his gloves off. He sat there, humming and filing his nails. He pretended to be absorbed in what he was doing, but his attention was directed toward the door as he filed, occasionally stopping to look at his nails and blow the dust off of them. Although he dreaded the prospect of femming it up in a dress all about Lior, he would be even more glad to get out of this claustrophobizing cabin. Traveling with another loose canon who could very well decide to mince everyone to pieces, and two other military personnel who didn't particularly care for him made him nervous. Regardless of feeling a certain 'kinship' with Barry, and Havoc seeming to warm up to him a little-at least not getting so upset when he poked fun at him-he knew he was still basically friendless. He got on fairly well with Frank, but the man treated everyone around him like an enemy, a competitor, or a pet. He figured he fit in that last category since the man seemed fascinated by the destructive ability in his hands, and tolerated his antagonistic sense of humor well enough. Frank himself was fairly humorless, and he got a kick out of picking on him. Archer was a snobby, porcelain skinned aristocrat and it amused him to make his face and ears turn red from angering or irritating him. He chuckled in self satisfaction and handed the file back to Riza when he was finished. "Thanks, soldier." [Barry will not be posting as regular due to school changes, not sure if anyone's aware of that, so we'll have to amuse ourselves with fewer of Barry's antics, I guess. xD Also, the Lior train ride takes about three days on the show, but I don't think any of us want our poor characters that miserable. Trust me...I just spent 20 hours on a Greyhound bus and I would know. Sleep is non-existent, especially when you have to transfer buses a gazillion times]

((I'm waiting for Riza, jus so ya know XD would be interesting to see how she (and Barry for that matter) react if she walks out and catches him with his plate off. Kinda saves a long tedious explanation. I guess ))

Hawkeye, she took the nail file back from Kimblee put it carefully in her bag and reached for her gun. "Excuse me." she said, going to the other compartment. Her eyes widened at what she saw. "Wh-what's going on here?" she demanded, her suspicions being correct as her hawk-like intuitions usually were. She glanced at "Barty" and pointed her gun, wavering at the figure before her. "Is everything all right?" ((Edited... sorry... about that... I'm multi-tasking...))

((*Sigh*. You do know Envy’s in the form of a flea, right, Riza? You can’t see or hear him. Just an innocent little flea buzzing about in the background.
Kimblee, dunno if you know this already or not, but we’ve got an Archer. He’s been wanting to talk to you about what you’ve done with him.
A shame we’re not gonna be seeing as much as Barry as normal. . .*Sigh*. Ah well. Nothing lasts forever.))

((YAAAAAY Now I get to torture Barry >D))
Barry was just reaching down for his plate as the compartment door opened. He froze in his tracks, eyes slowly traveling upwards. Oh please let it be one of the guys...please... His hope was immediately crushed as he looked straight at Riza, who was pointing her gun at him, but didn't seem all too surprised at his condition. He stood still for another few seconds, doing nothing but watching her warily, then slowly straightened up. "Look...its not what it looks like..." He said hurriedly, but then paused and sighed in irritation. "Allright, it is what it looks like. I'm a suit of armour without a body. Though I think you had guessed that much already."
He noticed how deadly calm he was, and reckoned it was because of the looming task the humunculus had set him on. If he was supposed to sabotage the mission, at any way possible, he didn't really have to feel jiggered about the fact that the lieutenant had realized what he was. The problem was...He did feel slightly despaired at that fact.

HAwkeye didn't know how to respond. Her suspicions had been correct about all of this. "So you are one of the few from Laboratory 5..." she said, almost to herself as she held her gun. Clicking back the safety, she looked straight at him. "Do the others know about this?"

Jean raised an eyebrow at Kimblee request, yet all in all, he wasn't particularly surprised. Especially when he took a good look at the guy's hands. They looked pretty well taken care of, which made him cast a glance at his own. There was a bit of dirt under his nails, but they weren't so bad, as he recently cut them.
As Riza got up, informing him of her plan, he merely nodded, knowing the Lieutenant could handle most things, till he remembered that Barry might be dismantling himself in the corridor again. As she opened the door, he struggled to get up, the dress somewhat working against him and managed to grab his wig and shove it on properly before following her out. After all, Barry had been talking to someone, thus it would only make an awkward moment for a guy in drag to run out of the compartment. "Ah, Hawkeye . You can..put your gun down." He carefully placed a hand on the firearm, slowly pushing the barrel down so it wasn't pointed in the general direction of the bloodseal. "I guess we'll have to explain things. Or at least Kimblee does." The last part he said on a slightly lighter tone, as it was after all, the superior officers job to give briefings and pass on intel.

Barry glanced at the gun. damn. "Yes...I'm afraid so." He noticed to his relief she didn't say 'prisoner' which at least gave him small hope. "Yes, they already know. They were gathering the details on their mission when I...bumped into them. They reckoned I could come in handy."
As Havoc came out something clicked. A piece of the puzzle fell into place. Thats the only way...yes...I've gotta risk it. As Havoc cautioned the lieutenant, Barry moved forward. "I'm sorry for the shock I must have given you..." He said shamefully. "But you mustn't be scared, this is just who I am." He placed a hand on her arm holding the gun, and gazed into her eyes for a split second, wishing for everything in the world he didn't have to do this.
Suddenly he twisted his arm, grabbing the gun out of her hand and wrenching it viciously out of her grip. With the other hand, he grabbed hold of her hair and jerking her around so she had her back to him, all the time pointing the barrel of the gun against the side of her head. He placed an arm around her neck, making it impossible for her to struggle. "Don't move." He hissed, eyes glowing threateningly. "I'll put a bullet to her brain if you do. And if you try to shoot my bloodseal, you'll hit her instead." It pained him to do this, but he saw no other way he could escape from harm and at the same time let the others escape from harm. His eyes glanced back at the compartment door. Kimblee wouldn't risk causing an explosion, not when his target was so close. And anyway, he would kill Riza if he set of such a reaction.
He glared at Havoc, edging to wards the cart exit. He would somehow have to get off the train, it wouldn't be easy. But when had life ever been?

Zolf grew more uncomfortable. Something's hinky about this situation, he thought to himself. When Havoc opened the door, he saw only Riza with her gun drawn. He bolted to his feet and walked to the door and looked out. Suddenly Barry grabbed Riza and held her at gunpoint. His jaw dropped.
He was right...Barry had gone off the deep end. What had triggered it, he had no idea. Perhaps the thought of being rejected by Lt. Hawkeye made him lose it. Who knew?
"Allright...what the hell is this happy horseshit, Barry? Mind explaining yourself?" he asked, irritated and pissed. "Look...this train is gonna stop anytime time now. We're almost there. Can't we just be grownups and you know...discuss this? Come on, Barry...you don't wanna hurt her. I can tell you like her."
He looked at Riza with irritation, "What'd you do to set him off like that?"

Hawkeye gave a gasp as he grabbed her, and she tried her best to struggle, but the arm he had around her neck made it impossible. She just found herself clinging to him, trying to get loose. He was one of the serial killers in the reports she had read.
"Dammit! Just when I let my guard down..." she scolded herself silently, "Never again!"

Barry kept his grip tight, though of course not too tight. It won't be easier with her unconcious...Or actually, it will. But I don't wanna risk suffocating her. As the door slid open, he noticed with some satisfaction the look of shock on the alchemist's face. So they did trust me after all. That or they just weren't expecting this. He glared at Zolf, ready to react if Kimblee would be stupid enough to start and explosion.
"This ain't anything personal. Whatever reason you think I'm doing this for, get it out of your head now. You'd never guess it, as wouldn't I if not the circumstances had forced me to actually do it." He wished he could somehow hint the two about Envy, but he couldn't risk doing in in a obvious manner, if which Envy would take action. Barry was pretty sure he was still around, whether in the guise of some insect or just able to transform his skin in to some invisible material. Barry didn't know, and to be frank, he didn't care.
As Kimblee spoke again, Barry sighed in exasperation, but still didn't loosen his grip. "Thats NOT the reason I'm doing this for. Yeah, sure, I like her. But what good is kidnapping her gonna do about the fact? Who would ever wanna fancy a guy who kidnaps you with force? I'm not stupid Zolf, I avoided getting myself killed in that god damned lab for two years. Though of course...I wasn't alone." He tried desperately to think of some way to explain, to let them know that he was not doing it out of pure evil.

Jean wasn't quick enough to stop him and was forced to stand by helplessly as his friend and colleague was held at gunpoint. "Look Barry, whatever it is, we can help. We've made it this far without bloodshed, why start now?" He cast a side glance into the compartment, cursing himself for having left his gun on his seat. It was just rather impossible to conceal a gun while wearing a dress.
"You know I can't let you go with her." It wasn't much of a threat, after all, what could he do? But he still felt that he should try something. He noted the way Barry spoke, yet didn't think much of it, there wasn't much to go by. For all he knew, the killer was trying to say that he had a split personality.
Unless, that was it..

Barry hesitated for a split second. "You can't...Help me. I would be putting you at risk-If-I mean-ARGH DAMN IT!" He sighed, thinking it over. This is bloody impossible. Envy is probably expecting me to kill them, but I won't go so far as to doing that. I have to somehow find a way of letting them know... He shifted slightly. "Look...what would you do if you felt-no, you actually was forced to do something. Something, that if you didn't do it, would leave the ones you trusted in danger. But at the same time, if one was to EXPLAIN why one was doing such a thing, it would automatically ensure that whomever ordered one to do such a thing, would kill the ones you had explained it to. So, say even if you had to do a thing that may offend or make ones friends mistrust you, you wouldn't be able to explain the matter in detail, because then the mysterious ordering person would ensure ones friends' death." He raised an eyebrow. "Savvy?"
((OMG XD I even got myself confused a few times thar.))

Envy let out a slight buzzing laugh as he saw Barry grab Hawkeye, though he was too small for it to be audible to the others. He hadn’t expected Barry to act so hastily or stupidly. ”Damn this is good. . .Glad I stayed. Wonder where he’s gonna take it from here?”. He continued buzzing about, watching the little show he’d put into action play out. ”So easy to manipulate humans into betraying each other. . .They may not say it, but secretly they’re always ready to go at each other’s throats. All it takes is a little. . . push.”.
Continuing to watch it just seemed to get better and better. . .Until Barry started dropping hints, which infuriated him. ”What do you think you’re doing, you idiot?!?”. Envy flew up onto the ceiling, getting into a position to attack should Barry say anything more. He was getting dangerously close to the border, though so long as he didn’t give any specifics he didn’t intend to interfere. If he did blab his gums (Or lack thereof) too much though, he was ready to kill everybody in the room at a moment’s notice.

The Lieutenant had stopped struggling, trying to figure a way out of this, but his bulky arms prevented her escape. She spotted the unnerved look on Havoc's face, but in her limited line of view, it's all she could really see. "If only I had a better angle to shoot at..." she muttered, knowing full well that there was no discreet way that she could reach for her gun at this moment.

Kimblee was getting more and more pissed by the second, and his face and ears were turning red. He didn't need this shit. He suddenly grinned like a wolf and stepped toward Barry. "You know," he said, in a low silky voice, "I'm thinkin' you think too much, my friend."
He placed a hand on Barry's armor and activated his array. "Okay...lets up the stakes then...I just made you into a time bomb....more or less." he continued. "In an unspecified amount of time, you're armor is going to do something..unexpected..but I ain't telling you what that is exactly."
"I'm the only one who knows when this will happen. And what will happen, for that matter. Not to mention I'm the only one who can stop this lovely chain reaction. Go ahead...shoot her." he smiled lazily. "It's no real slack off my back if you pull the trigger. After all...I wont be the one pulling the trigger, and I can't be blamed for a hostage situation. I don't specialize in hostage situations."
"Or.." he continued, with a sick smile, "You can simply stand there, stalling as the clock ticks and find out what a lovely surprise I have in store for you."
"You blew it Barry. You say you weren't alone in Lab 5? Well, didn't it occur to you that you aren't alone here? Don't you think that whatever happens that we can handle ourselves? Hell, you're a trig cove. I'm surprised you didn't think of that yourself. It's a cryin' shame you didn't think of that before doing such a stupid act you numb tool!"
"So what's it gonna be, tin man?" He glanced at his watchless wrist, as if checking the time and pointed to an imaginary watch, indicating that time was, indeed, ticking. "Time is of the essence, my friend."
[btw...you can't really kill off someone's character unless they give you permission. Da rulez of the board]

((I know that. I have no intention of actually killing off anybody. I assumed Envy wouldn’t have to act, and if he did I’d come up with an excuse as to how you could escape, or, y’know, actually fight him. Might even just have him try to talk things over. I dunno. I’d decide when the time comes, which it doesn’t look like it’s gonna. In any case, I know what I’m doing. No worries.))
Envy looked down warily as Kimblee approached Barry. . .He was the one Envy was truly worried about the whole time. The individual who actually had the power to do something about the situation and rather unpredictable to boot. Kimblee was an unknown factor in Envy’s plans that he’d forgotten to account for. Still, there seemed to be no reason to act for the moment. He was still completely uninvolved and unknown to the passengers of the train besides the butcher. If anything, this was only increasing the chaos. Envy wondered what exactly the crimson alchemist had done to Barry, though. His good sense told him to flee in case it was an actual bomb, but Envy wanted to see how this was going to play out, it being too juicy to pass up. Besides, Kimblee might’ve not actually done anything and just faked Barry out. Kimblee was the type of person to do that, and Barry was the type of person to go ballistic. . .It sounded like a good possibility to him.
