Charlotte rose from her chair and headed into the living room with her things. She had a feeling Dante would be coming back soon, so she decided to set things up for their little movie day. When she stepped into the living room she saw a strange girl standing in the corner, no doubt a new occupant. Since everyone else seemed to be ignoring her, she decided to greet her personally.
Walking over to Hikari, she gave her a friendly smille. "Hello there, dear. Who might you be?" she asked.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Magrace chuckled at his terror. He was hardly surprised that the boy did not remember him, but suspected that he could at least feel something familar about him. Their souls were conencted, after all.
"Oh, you don't recognize us? Well, that's understandable. You were but a mere infant when we saw you last, so allow us to introduce ourselves," he began with a sultry chuckle.
He paused, then glanced over at Mikey. "Remove our mirror from the wall and take it downstairs. Bring the Philosopher's Stone with you, and make sure that young Nikolai comes along, as well."
After giving the order to Mikey, he turned back to Nikolai, his eyes shining suspiciously. "You have no reason to fear us, child. We used to be a good friend of your mother's..."

Mikey nodded and took Magrace's mirror off the wall. He walked downstairs, followed by Nikolai. Walking into the living room, he placed Magrace's mirror on the couch. The maid, Marjorie was sitting on a nearby armchair. "Pay her no mind. She's harmless" Mikey said, waving to his maid.
"You know my mom?" Nikolai asked curiously. He furrowed his brow and asked, "How'd you get inside that mirror?"

*Hikari*
Krystal watched as she noticed that most people were too involved with their own goings-on to notice her, which she didn't really mind. After all, she was new, so she shouldn't be too high on their priority list. She couldn't blame them. However, she noticed a girl that just entered into the room walk over to her, carrying some stuff. She nodded back in greeting. "Ohaiyo. Watashi wa Krystal Hikari des." She didn't know if the person that greeted her would know what she said, but she extended out her hand to try and make it more clear. It wasn't that she couldn't speak otherwise... it's that she liked the language...

Charlotte blinked at her use of language, but smiled again when she extended her hand. "..Krystal Hikari, am I right? I apologize, but I don't recognize your language. Either way, you must be new here, right? We've been getting quite a few visitors this week... You're welcome to stay here as long as you'd like."
----------------------------------------------------------
"We've known each other for many years. As for why we're in this mirror, we had an unfortunate accident shortly after you were born," Magrace explained.
When they reached the first floor, he directed Mikey into a pair of double doors at the hallway. They found themselves in a small library when he opened them. Positioned at the back of the room was an extremely frightening suit of armor. Tall and thin, it was black in color and adored with designs of golden vines. The face of the helmet was white and resembled a demonic theater mask, and countless black plumes stuck out of its head. Needless to say it was one bizarre artifact.
"We had you bring that from our mansion for a reason. There should be an array in the neck of the armor, sketched from our own blood. Use the Philosopher's Stone to attach us to it."

Mikey paused and was about to do as he was told. That was, until he realized something a little important. "How do I do that?" he asked, not even caring that Marjorie had followed them into the library.

Magrace sighed heavily. "Take a small fragment of the Philosopher's Stone and place it on the seal. Since it was drawn with our blood, it should react to our soul and bind it to the armor."

Mikey nodded and picked off a small piece of the stone. He then placed it to the seal on the inside of the armor.
"I'm scared" Nikolai said from his place on Marjorie's lap. The elderly maid rubbed the child's head gently, staring vacantly in front of her.

As soon as he placed the fragment on the seal, the mirror shattered into thousands of pieces. An ethereal figure went flying through the air and into the suit of armor, the force of the impact causing it to shake slightly.
An eerie silence followed the transmutation. Suddenly, two bright crimson orbs appeared in the eye sockets of the mask, and the armor stepped forward with a loud thunk. Extending its arms, it examined them and began to laugh wickedly. Magrace had been successfully transplated into the armor.
"Finally! After all these years," Magrace cackled, then turned to Nikolai. "Now for the second phase of our plan..."

"What just happened? Why is your voice coming out of the armor?" Nikolai asked, clutching tighter to the stuffed koala in his arms.
"Do I get to finish my assignment from God, Magrace?" Mikey asked, sounding like a child asking for some pocket money.

Magrace turned to his assistant and wagged a gloved finger at him. "Patience, dear boy! Patience! Don't forget that we still have to summon the Gate."
He moved to the double doors, his boots clanking against the floor as he walked. It was strange walking without an actual body, but he knew he would get used to it in no time. Pushing open the doors, he walked into the main room and looked around.
"Hmm.. Where to conduct the transmutation?" he mumbled, looking around. "Perhaps the basement would be the best place."

"Why do you need me here?" Nikolai asked in a small voice. He dug his sharp teeth into Marjorie's hand. However, the elderly woman didn't seem to care. She just continued to stare ahead of her.
Mikey frowned. He wanted to finish what he started and he wanted to finish it now

Magrace walked to a door at the other side of the room and opened it, revealing a staircase. Grabbing a candle from a nearby shelf, he held it out in front of him and led them down toward the basement.
"Ever since I first entered into an alliance with Dante, I longed to see the other side of the Gate. With my cunning and genius, I would be able to use her research on the secrets of alchemy to take over their world. In order to accomplish my goal, I abducted a woman and tortured her to the point of insanity so I could use her to summon it. Unfortunately, that scarred buffoon intervened before I could carry out my plan."
Reaching the bottom of the staircase, he opened another door and led them into an empty room. He walked to the middle, then turned back to Nikolai. "After my defeat I fell into a deep depression. My detachment from this world and lack of a physical body gave me a strong connection to the Gate, which allowed me to unite with the soul of my counterpart in Amestris."
He turned to Mikey then. "For the past few months I have been two people. Although I seemed to be trapped in that mirror, I was truly on the other side of the Gate, sharing a body with my alternate self. I was able to see Amestris through his eyes, and he was able to see Earth through my own. As I got to know him more, I soon discovered that we had quite a bit in common."
Pausing, he folded his hands behind his back and walked closer to them. "We began to scheme together. At first I wanted him to find a body in his world that I could inhabit, but unfortunately my soul could not exist there unless I crossed the Gate in a physical form. In other words, if my soul left his body at all, it would have been sent back into the mirror. Then we came up with another plan. What if we found a way to bring him here instead? With our combined genius we would be able to create a new body for me to inhabit, and then we could cross the Gate together! And all we needed was young Nikolai here and the remains of Dante's Philosopher's Stone."

"You mean you weren't planning to cross the Gate yourself?" Mikey said, sounding astonished. He then looked to Nikolai who was shuddering in fear. "Will the procedure harm him in anyway?" he asked. He didn't care about the boy, but he wanted the revenge to be his own.

"At first I was planning to, but now my plans have changed. And no, it should not harm Nikolai," Magrace explained.
He walked over to them and picked up the frightened child, handing him to Mikey. "There is a scar on Nikolai's chest. Break off another piece of the Philosopher's Stone and hold it against the array. The Gate should appear soon afterward, and my counterpart will emerge from it."

Instinctively, Nikolai began to thrash. He dug his teeth into Mikey's shoulder but released as Mikey pulled up his shirt. A very cold sensation spread through his body as Mikale held the Stone to the array on his stomach.

(sorry for the absence!)
Scar emitted a deep sigh as he watched the group of hudlums run what must have been the fiftieth lap. "Hurry up!" He barked. "If you want to smoke, you might as well make sure your lungs are working!" Glancing at his watch, the Ishballan let out another sigh, one of relief, and blew his whistle. "Allright, class is dismissed! If I ever see you here again, I'll make you run one hundred laps, if it takes you all day! Now get out of my sight!"
With that, he made his way into the building to Dante's room, and opened the door. "Time to go." he said. "I'll see you outside." With that, he shut the door and headed out to the car.

Dante was writing on the board when her husband peeked his head in. At last it was time for her to go home and relax for the rest of the day. She was still quite aggravated about having to come in and teach on the weekends for the rest of the year, but she was not about to let that spoil her time off. At least now she could spend the rest of the day with her husband.
Placing the chalk down, she looked back at her class. "Read chapters five through seven for next week. Expect a quiz on the material."
Not even bothering to wait for her students to leave, she rushed out and walked out to the parking lot. Opening the car door, she sat down next to her husband and sighed in relief. "What a nightmare..."
-------------------------------------------------------------
As soon as he placed the Philosopher's Stone fragment against the array, the room was engulfed in bright light. When it faded away, they were all standing in an opaque void, and before them was the legendary Gate of Alchemy itself.
Magrace stepped forward and stared at it in amazement, his crimson eyes wide. He slowly ran a gloved hand down one of its massive doors. "Magnificent! It's exactly as Dante described in her notes. After three years of endless labor, I'm finally standing before the Gate! Ha, ha, ha...."
The doors slowly began to open, revealing numerous eyes and smiles within the abyss it contained. Magrace moved back and watched it expectantly, waiting for his counterpart to emerge.

"Dear God" Mikey said. He stared in awe at the dark abyss that was the inside of the Gate. "It's like the Gates of Hell." He then stepped back, remembering how the Gate could sometimes bring harm to those who openned it.

Black tentacles shot out of the abyss and began thrashing about violently. When the doors opened completely, countless creepy smiling faces and massive eyes could be seen peeking out of the darkness. The abyss began to swirl slightly, and a dark figure began to emerge from within it.
Before they could see the figure, a bright light flashed before their eyes and they were once again in the basement of the mansion. Everyone was there and accounted for, along with a rather frightening newcomer.
Standing at the back of the room was a tall man wearing a thin black robe. His face was identical to Magrace's, save for the dark crimson markings around his eyes. His outfit was lined with fine golden silk, and a cylindrical headdress decorated with numerous tassels addorned his head.
"I see the transmutation was a success," the stranger chuckled, raising his long sleeve to his mouth. "It's a pleasure to finally see you in person, Magrace."
Magrace greeted his counterpart with a respectful bow. "Likewise, Nikanoru."
