Riza
With a disposable plate in hand, she approached Jean, "That looks really good, Havoc," she said, "Can you cut one of those steaks in half for me?" she asked, "I have to make room for a sausage too."
She placed a fresh ear of corn on her plate. She'd been sunning herself on a chaise lounge, ignoring all Kimblee's posturing and flirting. Eventually, she'd moved to the other end of the pool to be out of earshot. "How are you holding up in this world Jean?" she asked, making casual conversation.
Sarai
She stepped to the side as Barry carried the huge armor inside. She placed her hands over her face and giggled at his loopy display.
"Barry!" she exclaimed, "it's not yours. Don't break it or anything." She burst out in a fresh gale of laughs at his antics.
She really did wonder why it was there, who it was for and what it was for. It was an awfully ostentatious piece of decor at the very least.
Kimblee
His smile widened as Roze talked of household contributions. She didn't seem to be teasing or mocking, and had no reason at this point to think she would be.
"Well..." he added, swallowing his bite of steak, "At any rate I can't very well scoop you up and carry you off to a new 'cave' without something proper to go along with it." his eyes twinkled playfully. He was planning on taking her out somewhere after they ate. Something of a surprise he had in store for her.
In his experience, when a moment came, you didn't blink or it would pass by before you could open your eyes. So he kept his eye fixed on the moment and didn't waver. He knew what he wanted.

Jean's thoughts broke at the female's voice, turning to her with a smile. "Uh, yeah. Hang on." He mumbled while going about her request. Placing the meat on her plate, his eyes widened ever so at her question. Whether she had picked up anything from the way he'd been absently staring or was really just making light conversation, he had no clue. It was always hard to tell with her.
"What's to say. The civilian life ain't the same as active duty, even with a kid to look after." A well deserved grin graced his lips at that "I'm not saying it's dull, it's just..." He flipped chicken that he didn't remember putting there "Different." After a moment he returned her question, curious on the intake of the woman who had practically dedicated her life to the service.
Denny heard the conversation yet kept quiet. Back home, he'd always been nagging about wanting a vacation, just to get his mind of work. The moment he came to this world, after having found his ground and coming to terms with being stuck here, he'd gone on a vacation. He'd come back two days later and got the first job he could find. He'd found that he couldn't relax, not in some foreign world. So he worked to the bone, keeping his mind on things that needed to be thought about.
Eventually, he'd gotten over it, having been in traffic all day and coming home to thinking, for the first time in years 'I need a vacation'. Still, it wasn't the same type of wanting. A vacation for a soldier is wanting to sit with those you love and enjoy the peace. A taxi driver wants to just laze around and do nothing. Different was the right word.

Barry laughed and popped off the helmet again. "Easy, I know from experience that these things are built to last." He chuckled again. "It seems I won't be able to lug this around the house, and definetely not up the stairs. Dante's gotta get her crazy husband to do it."

"You and Markus are lucky you don't have any siblings the same age as you, Dahlia. Trust me, it sucks" Arden said, apparently out of nowhere. At that moment, Bandit entered the room and took a seat next to her master. The small dog wagged her tail as Arden scratched her head.

Barry sighed. "I guess I better inform the lord and ladyship." He went into the living room, and luckily enough Dante was there. So was her husband, though he wasn't sure whether that was lucky or not. "Er, you guys..." He hesitated. "I think something might have arrived with the mail, its somekind of armour, and I reckoned that it might be something you've ordered." He said, directed to Dante.

Markus wandered in after the dog, sending a questioning way to the girl at the mention of his name. Plopping down on the floor beside Dahlia, he stretched his legs out and beckoned to Bandit to come. "Come puppy!"

Roze looked at the man and giggled before turning her head towards the door. "That... and I've grown attached to some of the people here... I mean, like you, some that seem gruesome and evil really aren't so much..." She looked back at the man with a blush on her face. "It's unfortunate that people have to judge based on a past that no longer is applicable... Because they can miss the gems in the rough..." Was she talking about him? Maybe so, but it could be applied to others, too.
When she finished eating, she looked up towards the man. She hadn't gotten anything on her face, which came from her good manners. "So... what're we going to do now?"
Hikari
Hikari went back to the living room when the armour was said to be Dante's. She wanted to have nothing to do with her. She was already pissed at the female, and didn't want to get herself riled up again because of her. She sighed, and seeing nobody was watching the TV, turned it to something called G4. She had no clue what it was, but decided it was better than the news. She didn't want to hear anything depressing, anyway.
[If it's okay, I'd like to take Clause, and maybe temp her in the actual RP?]

Dante looked over at the former butcher. "As I just finished telling Scar, I ordered nothing of the sort. I'm sure someone will claim it eventually; and if not, we'll call the auction house and tell them to pick it up. Did they leave an address?"
----------------------------------------------
Dahlia brightened up when she saw Bandit run in. Smiling, she gave the dog a hug. "I love puppies..." she giggled.

Bandit remained calm as Dahlia hugged her.
"She's a really good dog" Arden said, smiling slightly at her dog and her best friend. "Very obediant and she even knows how to search for dead things".

Markus scrunched up his nose at the idea of finding a dead animal(for the idea of people dieing was yet beyond his capability) "Why?" His mother had very clearly taught him that dead things were not to be played with. Perhaps she'd foreseen such a happening, what with who the boy's only friends were.

Riza
"Jean...have you seen Markus around?" she asked as she finished eating her potato salad. "I get nervous not knowing where he is in this house."
Kimblee
He took Roze's hand and led her through the yard to his beat up old car. He opened the door for her and after closing it, he went to the passenger side and hopped through the window. He blushed in embarasment. "Heh..sorry 'bout that..this door's broken. Buckle up now, darlin." he said, winking at her. "Thought I'd take you out to the lake to feed some ducks and get away from all the nuts back there."
He started the car, pushed the clutch and cursed as the car jerked and died. He started it up again and shifted, pulling out a bit jerky, but managing to not kill the engine. "I can't drive a stick worth a shit." he offered lamely.

Jean looked up from the grilling meat, eyes roaming the backyard, while his ears listened for the tell-tale sounds of children. "The rec room or living room?" He offered, his senses having failed to picking up his son "He's probably with the other kids, so he should be fine." Or so he told himself.
He was actually rather glad that Markus hadn't taken up a murderous streak like Arden or a perverted one like the other twin. It was probably Riza's doing, as she could be quite strict when it came to raising and teaching things, to kids and dogs alike. Luckily, she had a more softer side when it came to Markus. He had been worried he'd be obedient as Black Hayate by the time he was able to walk, but the woman knew when to let the boy be a kid.

Roze glanced at the man and smiled. "Thank you... Kimblee-san" she said, and watched his futile attempts to start the car before he actually did so. "I've actaully gotten decent at it, since I need to drive one to work and back." However, she gave him a nod of approval when he started the car. "So... are we going to pick up stuff to feed them or what?"

Barry scratched his neck nervously. "I don't think so..."
If it really wasn't hers... Well, who else would have been able to afford a thing like that? It was clearly of great value, but he couldn't think of anyone else who might buy a thing like that.
After a few moments of silence he suddenly looked up again, and asked quietly: "I could take it."

Sarai
"Where will you put it, Barry?" he asked, giggling slightly, "I know I wouldn't want something like that in my room. I would wake up in the middle of the night and think a burglar was in my room!"
Riza
She sat down in the lawn chair next to the grille. "Where did all this food come from anyhow?" she asked Jean, "Those steak cuts look a bit on the pricy side."
Of course, that certainly wouldn't stop her from having a piece. She noticed Denny dozing off, and joked, "I know you're not asleep, Denny. You're just pretending to so you can get out of cooking steaks."
Kimblee
"Nah...that wont be necessary." he said, thumbing over his shoulder to the back seat. "I have some stale bread back there. No point wasting a perfectly peachy loaf of stale bread." he grinned.
The park by the small lake was just outside city limits and he pulled into the parking lot just as the engine backfired and died. He coasted into a parking spot and pulled out the key. "Well... can't ask for better than that!" he said, "Least the ol beast waited till now to cut out on me."
He crawled out the window and walked around, letting Roze out. He grabbed a blanket he kept on the back seat and the plastic bag with bread. He smiled and took her hand, walking down a dirt path through the trees. Squirrels scampered up and down their trunks and birds flitted about, branch to branch.
They finally came to the end of the path and onto a stretch of grass under a shade tree. He laid the blanket out, sat down and patted the spot next to him. "Have a sit, little lady." he invited.

Roze smiled to Kimblee. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you had set up this entire thing," she teased him. It wasn't impossible, but the bread in back was more than likely a coincedence. Once they arrived at the park, she followed him, taking in the nature. When he picked up a spot and placed out the blanket, she noded. She sat down when he asked her to, and looked around again. "You know what would make this scene more romantic... if a fresh layer of snow was on the ground, or a layer of dew after a spring rain..." She hoped the man would understand what she meant.

(See, I knew something was going to be said about that! She meant she liked the smell of the crisp morning, or after the rain. And that she thinks that snow is pretty. >.<)
