( XD And here ol' Zolfie thought she was talking about chilly or cold weather, so he'd need to snuggle up to her to keep her warm! )
He smiled at her and handed her a few slices of bread. He tore a few pieces into small bits and tossed some near the waters edge. Several of the greedy, hungry ducks paddled quickly to the edge, quacking and squawking noisily, wings flapping. He chuckled at the site of it and glanced looked at her.
"Do you suppose there's more evolved beings who watch us and laugh too?" A mild and passing curiosity for him at best. He didn't really think too hard on stuff like that, but it was fun to speculate on it in the right setting.

(And here I thought Kimblee would be the most succeptible that kind of thinking. >.<)
Roze watched Kimblee throwing the food towards the ducks and smiled. Despite what others said he was, he really wasn't so bad once you got to know him, like many people. However, the content of the next question caught her completely off-guard, so she didn't speak for a few moments. Finally, she sighed and said, "I don't know about that. I think that there may be something else out there, but nothing like what one would call "gods" and such, because if you admit that there are such things out there, then you admit, to some degree, that they control at least a little of your life, even if you say they don't. If you ask me, I don't think that gods exist. I think that we are in control of our destinies, not some big shot up above." As she spoke, she looked at the lake, her eyes shining passionitely. It seemed she really thought about this, and really believed in what she was saying...

He tilted his head to the side slightly, listening with interest. He found her earnest passion refreshing from the usual cynicism and suspicion that surrounded the rest of his life.
"You're like a breath of fresh, spring air Roze." he said with a warm smile. Even in a war-torn world like back home life had some semblance of order and sense. This world though...everything seemed on a downward, chaotic path. He'd always prided himself on his cynical attitude toward life, but that was easy when you live somewhere where things made sense once in awhile. But being torn from there through the gate to here had pulled the rug out from under his cocky attitude.
Combine that with the loss of his alchemy and he was just an ordinary nobody like everyone else. He wasn't special or powerful or talented. He was just a lowly construction worker on a demolition crew.. tearing down old constructs to pave the way for mini malls and the 'Wal Marts' that sprung up like pimples on the face of this world.
He gave a snort at that thought. Tyler Durden would relate to that, he thought. After he'd watched the movie Fight Club he was pretty ecstatic for awhile. At least someone in the entertainment industry thought the way he did. Yep..he was not a unique or special snowflake..he was the 'all singing, all dancing crap of the world.'
His gaze and his thoughts turned back to the pretty woman sitting next to him. It all seemed dreamlike with an air of surrealism. He found that he didn't care. If this is all a dream then so be it.
He put his arm softly around her waist and leaned foward to kiss her pretty mouth.

Roze glanced at the man. For a moment, she didn't know what to think of his reaction, but she let it pass. She had been expecting more from the man. She wasn't as concerned as maybe he was- after all, she hadn't had alchemy in the first place, so she couldn't know what it was like to lose it, as she didn't have it to lose. Roze felt the man lean over to kiss her, and she turned back to him, letting her mouth kiss him passionately. Every time they did this, something flared up inside of her... Was she falling in love with this man?

"Wanna see her do a trick?" Arden asked the other two children in the room. Obviously she was referring to her dog. Said canine was beginning to doze due to the relaxing stroking by Dahlia.

His eyes widened in surprise. The passion she demonstrated...well he hadn't been expecting that. He quickly shoved that thought away and wrapped his other arm around her and held her close as he kissed her with equal ardor.
His fingers ran through her hair as he pressed his lips closer, parting them slightly. His tongue flicked out, caressing her lips softly, seeking tentative permission to deepen the kiss. He didn't want to overwhelm her or frighten her, but damned if she didn't make every nerve in his body alive!
He almost expected lightning to strike him for daring believe a nice, sweet lamb like her could have any real interest in him. And again he felt he was dreaming.
Don't wake up...don't wake up.... his thoughts murmured inside.

((OOC: Very sorry to keep you waiting, Barry! I forgot Dante was talking to him. >< ) "Someone obviously ordered it, so I don't think it would be right for you to simply take it. And yes, I realize the hypocrisy in me speaking about morality." Dante hummed, reaching for a book and opening it. "But I don't see any harm in you holding onto it until someone claims it."

Roze felt him kissing back, their kiss reliving some ancient philosophy on male-female bonding. She kissed back until what seemed a lifetime later, herself lost inside his embrace. She felt him run his hands through her hair, but she didn't push him away. It was only until the eternal minute was over that she let go of him finally, and blushed as she looked away from him. "That... was my... first real kiss..." she said. She didn't know if she had felt about anyone else that way before, not as strongly as she had for him. She turned back to him, her face still courting a minor blush. "Kimblee-san... How much do you like me...?I mean, for who I am... not for what I look like?" she asked, her eyes locking into his steadily. She knew he must love her, or have notions of love, to return that type of kiss, but she had to gauge his reaction... Depending on it, she might go into a second question... One that could change their lives forever.
It was because of that that she had to make absololutely sure of it once and for all...

Barry nodded quietly. "Sure sure." He said, but unable to conceal a smug smile. As though anyone would. No-one in the house would have any need for such a thing...Except perhaps Dante, but she had claimed not to have ordered it. Why he had offered to take it, he wasn't quite sure. Though after all, he had always been impulsive. That hadn't changed.
He laughed at Sarai's comment. "That may be...But the upside is, if any thief managed to sneak into my room, he would probably be just as scared of this thing." He said with a smile, rapping on the black metal plate.
He'd have to find some way of lugging it up the stairs...Of course he could ask someone for help...But he would prefer not to ask either Armstrong nor Scar, which seemed to be the only two people in the house at the moment who might be able to do it. Scar because he would probably just...refuse, and Armstrong...Well, probably not the best idea.

Magrace stood motionless in the main room, still posing as an ordinary suit of armor. Although his vessel was no longer active, he was completely conscious, listening to the conversations of the people loitering around him. As he suspected, no one knew who ordered the armor or if it even belonged to anyone in the house. Fortunately for him, no one appeared to be thinking any deeper into the matter.
"Everything seems to be going smoothly so far," he thought to himself, his eyes flashing for a brief second before vanishing again. "Of course, I need to take care of business before that troublesome child gets back from the hospital. If he sees me, my little charade will come crashing down."
He recognized many of the people that had been talking around him, but there were still a few new faces, mainly the young girl and the Ishbalan woman. They were inconsequential to him, but if they interfered with his plan, he would not hesitate to eliminate them. "Searching the house with all these fools around will be quite a challenge, especially in my current form," he snarled mentally.
Breaking from his thoughts, he materialized his luminous eyes for a brief moment and rested them on Barry, then allowed them to sink back into the darkness of his helmet. "He... was the murderous butcher that Bradley placed at Laboratory Five, correct? Such a shame that he regained his former body. If I were able to take over his armor, blending in would be so much easier", he thought.

Barry, having returned to the hall, was scratching the back of his neck in thought. Now that he'd made a big deal of the lugging the thing in, and taking it upon himself to have it, he guessed he couldn't just shrug it off now. With a weary sigh he looked up again. He blinked.
....Oookay...That...Didn't just happen. He stood in silence, staring transfixed at the motionless armour. Nothing. With a sigh of irritation, he rubbed the back of his neck vigorously. "Geez...It was nothing, relax...Your imagination's playing tricks on you again, like it always does, just take it easy...You're as insane as it gets anyway..." He stopped abrubtly. ..Aaand there I go speaking to myself again.
Although...For a split-second he had thought...
With a shrug he approached the armour, letting his hands slide over it, tracing the path of the twisted web of golden filigree, exploring the joints of the armour with his fingers, trying to get an overall idea of how it fitted together. Seeming as the only way he'd be able to move the damn thing, would be if he took it apart.

"Hey, Dahlia. Let's go outside....we can put rat poison in people's vegetable gardens" Arden said with a slightly insane giggle. She then paused and shook her head. "I'm just kidding, of course. I just want to take Bandit for a walk...and I wanna see that dead body in the woods".

Dahlia smiled excitedly. Although she seemed innocent enough, like her friend she had an interest in the macabre. " A dead body?!"

Arden nodded excitedly. "Yeah....me, Bandit, and my pussy of a brother found it yesterday" she told her friend. Standing up, she snapped her fingers and her dog quickly walked over to her. "Come on...we have a dead guy to see".

Magrace remained motionless as the butcher ran his hands over his armor. He noticed that he saw him regenrate his eyes and made a note to be more careful. It was very important that he appeared to be a normal suit of armor, so he could not afford to make any more mistakes like that, especially now that he was in the care of someone who was once in his position.
Noticing that he was examining his joints, he growled mentally when he realized what he was planning to do. "If he takes my armor apart, he may notice the blood seal. Then again, I doubt he would have any reason to go looking for it, unless that little incident left that great an impression on him..."
--------------------------------
Dahlia pulled herself up, still excited. She gave Bandit a little pat on the head, then began walking with Arden. "Any idea how long he's been dead?" she asked with a smile.

"Probably at least a week" the older girl said with a smile as the two of them walked down the stairs, Bandit following close behind. However, once they reached the last step, the dog's demenor changed. She suddenly began snarling and barking, charging through the house like her tail was on fire.
"Bandit! Heel!" Arden yelled to her pet, sighing angrily when the dog continued to run away barking.

Dahlia blinked in surprise when Bandit started barking. When she darted off, she followed after her, wondering what could be wrong. "Wait up!"

After running through the house, Bandit apparently reached her desired location: the hall where a strange suit of armor was sitting. The dog slowly walked towards the armor, growling as the fur on her back bristled.
"Cool...who bought the creepy armor?" Arden asked when she found her dog.

Dahlia rushed into the room and stopped when she saw the suit of armor. She stared up at it with a dumbfounded expression, her eyes wide. Although it was certainly awesome, something about it sent a chill down her spine. "....Creepy..."
The armor remained perfectly still as Bandit barked at it ferociously. For a brief moment two glowing orbs appeared in its sockets, giving Bandit a frightening look for less than a second before sinking into the darkness again.

"It looks like something I see in my acid fantasies." Arden said simply, walking over to her pet. The dog continued to bark at the suit of armor even as her misstress picked her up.
"Calm down, Bandit. It's hideous, but it's not gonna hurt you. Kinda like Miley Cyrus's acting" Arden muttered, stroking her shaking terrier.
