Hair: Black spiky hair with a large fringe from right to left that almost covers his left eye. Long layer at the back that reaches down to the nape of his neck. David's hair is natural black because of his mother is a Xingese.
Eyes: Navy blue, as his father is a Amestrisan.
Personality:
David was an upbeat and kind young man in Amestris military, who always treated his subordinates equally, regardless their ranks. He made friends easily, earning the respect and trust from the soldiers of Amestris military with not only with his combat prowess but mainly his kind and honest nature. David values friendship above everything else.
Although he is a good-looking person, David never had a date before, not even once. He often asks his subordinate how the feeling looks like when they dating with someone. He also decides that if he find a woman who suitable to him and always care for him, David will love her with all his heart and willing to sacrificing himself to saved her.
Conversely, he can also go into a state of deep depression after something bad struck him. David also suffers Posttraumatic Stress Disorder since after he comes back from Ishval Civil War. He always having nightmares in the past, witnessed the massacre of Ishvalan civilians. He also becomes ferocious during the battle, taking down enemies without showing them mercy.
David also favored in several firearms and his hobby is hunting. He also interested in alchemy but he couldn't learn it as his father strongly opposed his dream as an alchemist in very early age.
Physical Description:
David is athletically build, and about 173 cm tall. Because his mother is a Xingese and father is a Amestrisan, David's hair was naturally black and his eyes are fading navy blue.
Like the rest of the soldiers in Amestris military, David wears the normal blue military officer uniform but he often unbuttoned his uniform and his white shirt thus dog tags fixed with a cross were sighted. He also has his sidearm concealed in his left-holster at the back of his waist.
During off-duty, David wears his unzipped long-sleeve jacket and red shirt as his inner wear. He also wear black pants and leather shoes. David will wears his flat cap on his head if necessary and he always had his pistol holstered within his jacket.
History:
Early Life
David was born in Resembool, at 21st July 1890. His father is drover and hunter in Resembool while his mother comes from Xing. Among the siblings, David is the third son as he has an elder brother, an elder sister and younger sister. Since as a child, David often follow his father droving their sheep in the field of Resembool and spending his time watching his father hunting. At the age of 14, David held his first hunting rifle which bought by his father and shoots down a deer for his first time. David also dislikes schooling and often failed his tests so he decides to quit schooling, later then he spending his time by hunting animals in the forest of Resembool and sell their furs to the shops.
Military Recruitment and Career
At the age of 17, David went hunting alone in the forest and saw a Amestris soldier was attacked by a wolf. With haste, David aimed his hunting rifle and shot the wolf in the head, an instant kill. The soldier thanked David and telling that he is looking for his friend who is David's elder brother. The soldier also states that his brother was drafted into Amestris military for fighting Ishvalans in Ishval. David's elder brother have no choices but join the Amestris army, so did his elder sister insist to go to help him. David want to follows his siblings too but he couldn't because his age is still haven't fulfilled the conditions of joining Amestris military.
As a year pass, David enlisted himself in Amestris military and having training for 3 months. Life is like hell in the boot camp as David and the rest of the recruits went through physical training thus other trainings. In the boot camp, David also befriended with several soldiers and they were soon become close friends.
Ishval Civil War
At 14th May 1908, David and his friends were deploy in the front lines during Ishval Civil War. It was their first time in the battlefield and they were nervous as the bullets fly past above them. He kill a Ishvalan militia for the first time, isn't wasn't like taking down a deer or wolf, the feelings were different. Later the night after his first battle, David couldn't sleep as he rests his bolt-action rifle on his left-shoulder and watches the campfire blankly. As he continue to fight for surviving in the war, David and his friends already get used to the battle scenes.
After ranked as a Sergeant at 1909, David and his team were given mission, to storm and kill the retreating Ishvalans militia in an abandoned warehouse. He accept the order and approaching towards the location where the Ishvalans militia were hiding. As they stormed into the building, David realized that it wasn't militia but they were Ishvalan civilians; wounded, women and children, elders and men without weapons seeking refuge in the warehouse.
David finally knows that his mission that wasn't kill the militia but the innocents, he was livid and kick away a can nearby. His men asks him what they'll do next and David gives his answer:"Let them go, these are innocent people that we couldn't kill. When we get back, we tell them the militia isn't in the warehouse when we get here, got it?" His men obeyed his order and David asks the Ishvalan civilians to flee before the rest of the Amestris soldiers came.
The Ishvalan refugees thank David and his men for sparing them, they hurry went out from the warehouse as David and his men watch on, David was relieved that he did the right thing. Suddenly, another Amestris division were emerged from nowhere and they opened fire at the running Ishvalan civilians. David tries to help them but he couldn't, he watches all the ones that he save, has been killed by the other Amestris soldiers. He later then suffers mental breakdown and passes out in front of his men.
After the war, David and his men were promoted due to their services as he was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant. But only few of his friends and him were stationed in Southern Area Headquarters.
War With Aerugo in Southern Area
Again he participate in war with Aurego, but it is not worse like his days in Ishval. The battle in the front lines were rained by Aurego's artillery fire as David and his friends sheltered themselves under the tunnel. With a sudden, David received a transmission that eastern line need reinforcements and he ordered his men to ready themselves and heading to eastern line.
As they arrived at the eastern line, David and his men fought valiantly against the Aurego soldiers in the lines and successfully forced them to retreat. David and his men were impressed by the major who asks for reinforcements and promoted David into 1st Lieutenant. Since after that, David continue to serves in Southern Area Headquarters.
Promoted To Captain, Transfered to East City
At the end of the year of 1913, David was promoted to Captain because he serves in Southern Area Headquarters for 3 years and his intelligent in tactics. Not only that, he was transfered to East City headquarters at 4th of February 1914. It was the sad thing that only David transfered while his old friends continue to serve and fight in Southern Area.
In the headquarters of East City, David considered as the most youngest commanding officer as he held the rank as Captain at the age of 24. He also heard that his elder brother and elder sister were stationed in Central City, and his younger sister were study at there too. At his first time as a Captain, David is ready to meet the military officers in Eastern City.

It is really fine day in East City as it was David's first time arrived at, it is more quiet and merrier, unlike the bloodshed in Ishval and Southern Area. Suddenly, something interrupts in his mind, something that is in the past. He was in the middle of the desert, with his rifle in his hands. David look around and recognized the place; Ishval Deserts. With a sudden, a hand suddenly grabbed his leg, pulled him down beneath the sands. David tries to scream but he couldn't, as he was dumb.
"Excuse me.... Excuse me..." a voice wakes him from the nightmare. David look at his back and noticed a Amestris soldier. "Are you... Captain David Remington?" David wipe his sweat from his forehead. "Yes I am, and you must be the soldier who going to take me to headquarters, right?" the soldier immediately salutes David in respond, "Corporal Alfred Tyler, sir! I'm been tasked to take you to the headquarter, sir!" David shakes his head and gently pushes down the soldier's salutation, "That won't be necessary, Tyler. And don't call me "sir", just call me David or Remington, ok? Mind if you carry this for me?"
David gives one of his luggages to the soldier and walks out from the train station, "Where's your car, Alfred?" David stops again, he rests his luggage at his back of his shoulder and puts his another hand in his pocket. "At the left corner, captain." David saw the car, and smiles. "Nice car, Alfred. Come on." David and the soldier proceeds towards to their car.
