Vato Falman (ヴァトー・ファルマン, Vatō Faruman) is one of Roy Mustang's most trusted subordinates. He was recruited by Mustang for his innate ability to remember almost every detail, allowing him to act as a sort of recording device that does not leave any physical evidence. Because his intellect is his area of expertise, he does not have much experience in the field, causing him to make rookie mistakes when in a combat situation. He is overly formal, causing some of his comrades to wish he would lighten up.
3.) Relationships with people --
Among Roy Mustang's subordinates, Vato Falman considered as the most quiet and serious. He rarely speaks to his comrade unless necessary or discussing something that is important. His great memory and intelligence are essence for Mustang. Although he is quiet, Vato always shows his respects to his comrades, commanding officers and superiors.

1.) Why do you want to be this character?
Vato Falman is the most interesting character in most FMA series especially his great memory and intelligent. Although he is poor in combat skills, Vato Falman is a tactician as well as he find the enemy's weaknesses and strike there.
2.) How far are you into the Anime?
I see the old season until the end. Now I'm watching the Brotherhood, hope more interesting characters appear from manga.
3.) How far are you into the Manga?
I almost see it every day, especially when I'm online.
---Writing Sample---
Sits on the chair and flips the files in his hands, it's rather busy day for Vato himself. After Colonel Mustang went out for something important with Lt. Hawkeye, it was Vato's turn for checking the military files for Colonel. It wasn't a bad job for him, better than doing nothing. "Vato... Vato..." the voice was attracted him from his duty, it was 2nd Lt. Heymans Breda.
"What's the matter, Lieutenant?"
"Uhhh..... Did you still remember the chess that we're playing few months ago? I've lost it.... Did you seen it somewhere?
Vato stands up again and placed his hands under his chin, "Yes I remember that, hmmm...... Ah, I remember! You were borrowed it to Sergeant Joserine few weeks ago, remember?"
Breda scratches his head and in the deep thought, "Ah, I get it! Thanks a lot! I'm glad that asking you anyway, Falman." Breda pats on Vato's shoulder and quickly run out from the office. Vato says nothing but he sits down again, he continues his work as usual.
