Crimson Regrets (Fullmetal Alchemist/FF7 crossover

Author's Note: The title is from the original story I used the created character in. Some of my original story will be used in flashbacks of the character. Plus,most of this is a nagging plot bunny and I want it to go away.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the FullMetal Alchemist characters,nor do I own any of the Final Fantasy 7 characters. I do however own the idea behind this story and the OC Vinnie Valentine.


Prologue

The planet Gaia,is unlike Amestris in everyway,the company Shinra is at the middle of every tragedy that has happened. A scientist who worked for the Shinra comapny,found the remains of an alien that had tried to wipe out the ancients. The scientist name was only remembered as Hojo and his wife was Lucrecia Crescent. The two decided that while she was pregnant with thier child he would inject the alien DNA into thier unborn child. A worker who had fallen in love with lucrecia was apalled by thier actions. This man confronted Hojo and for his trouble he was killed and then cruelly reanimated. Hojo for days watched in fascination as the man slowly decomposed. He strapped the man to a table so he could not get any help. Hojo then added insult by cutting the mans hand off and replacing it with a golden clawed hand. he kept the hand as a trophy in a jar. While Hojo was working on other projects and away from the tormented man,his wife found him.

Lucrecia had worked with the young man's father,and she always blamed herself for the lab accident that took the father away from the son. She infused Demon cells she had found with what remained on the man,as she unstrapped him and moved him to a Mako tube. The cells within the young man's body started rebuilding themselves,and the skin returned. But Lucrecia would never see the end result,for after her son's birth,she commited suicide and forever trapped herself within a ice crystal. she only allowed the man to know of the location. That is all that is written about the experiments on Vincent Valentine. Lucrecia did eventually trap herself,but it happened after her husband's second experiment.

Hojo had seen the horro of what had happened to Vincent appear in his wife's declining health as the due date for their son grew nearer. He worked hard and found the perfect DNA variables and told Lucrecia,"After Sephiroth is born,I will let you live in peace away from everyone,and i shall give you a child of your own. She shares Vincent's Dna and your own."

Lucrecia seemed renewed,she had given one child up for the sake of science and she would gain one afterwards. After Sephiroth was born,Hojo took Lucrecia to the Fobidden City. He had a little cottage built for her,and promised to visit her. He implanted the Embryo into her womb. Nine months later a little girl was born,she had black hair and like her father in DNA sense crimson colored eyes. In memory of her father Lucrecia called the little girl Vinnie,because even though she knew the girl was basically a clone of the young man who had died because of her just like his father before him.

Hojo visited like he promised,but after seeing the baby,took the baby. The betratyal caused lucrecia to sink into depression and that is when she disappeared to her icy prison. Hojo did every experiment to torment the infant and the unthinkable happen. sephiroth had found his little sister and hid the girl from Hojo. This aggravated the scientist and he would punish the boy by making him have extra session in the mako tubes. When Vinnie turned 10,Hojo tried to inject her with the Jenova virus but her blood killed the invading cells. At thirteen,he injected what was left over of the demon cells injected into Vincent and the cells took,but the personality that emerged was not strong enough to take over the girl.
" You have endured everything,and for your efforts you shall see this world crumble and fall and the end of times,and everyone shall know about me." Hojo said with a sinister smile,as he carved his name into the girl's midsection.

He then hid the girl in his secret lab,inside a mako tube in a sleeping state. She never knew Hojo had told her brother the others had killed me and that I was the reason he started his massacre of innocent lives. Hojo knew the mako would make it easier for the demon to merge within the girl,and when he finally awakened her he could present a killing machine for his boss. After the defeat of Sephiroth,Vincent Valentine murdered Hojo because of the vile experiments he had done to others and himself. Vinnie did lie asleep hidden for years,till she was found by three remnants,and awakened,she pledged her loyalty to them. Only she knows the real story,but as the last blow was delivered in the battler instead of fading into the lifestream,she was awakened and given another life,but she had to leave everything she knew behind.
The only things she could take,were the items she had one her. The female clone/Daughter of Vincent Valentine a fighter of the resistence,carried two three barreled guns, mako for summoning beings and healing,and also a four foot long Katana fashioned like her brother's sword. A bright light blinded Vinnie,and the next instant she awoke in the middle of a warzone.

Chapter 1

Vinnie stood up slowly as she looked around her,as she said in a low breath," thanks alot,this is much better." she said sarcastically.

She had seen a war worse than this,as she walked not caring if she stepped on someone's remains it meant they were too weak. After the war was over,that is when you expressed the emotions. It saddened her to step over bodies of children,and not cry but her instincts told her too block it out. She needed to find out what was going on,and what she had fallen into. She heard a child crying inside a house,as she steered in that direction. The houses door had been kicked in,a woman lay in a growing puddle of blood. her boot caught the corner of the puddle. She saw the child huddle in the corner,hugging a stuffed animal. The child looked in her direction and saw the crimson eyes. The soldier followed the child's line of vision meeting with Vinnie's angry stare. Vinnie did not wait for an explanation,and shot the soldier. As he was gasping for breath,three bullets lodged in his throat. " As a soldier you follow the cardinal rules,you never attack civillians. I think a mother and child would count as such,a life for a life was the price."

She picked the child up,and decided to make a run for it. She saw soldiers headed in thier directions as she instructed the young child. "Get out of the city,I have to pay for my actions you should not."

A soldier with greased back hair entered the house,and looked in her direction,"Did you murder that Officer of the state?" he asked.

" yeah,he was not following the rules." she stated.

Roy Mustang was amazed the woman,was not afraid of them. She fit the Ishval genetics with the crimson eyes,but this woman was not running. She stared at him,as he raised his hands and thought,'better get this over with,Bradley said kill everyone.'

Vinnie smirked as the guy raised his hand,she did not she any materia holder on him but that did not mean he was not hiding it. She saw the signs of him fixing to summon something, so she thought quick. She equipped a water materia,as the man went to snap his fingers he was doused with a huge dose of water,it came out of nowhere. She did not wait to see the end result,she ran away from the house. She managed to get out of the city,that was a small miracle. Vinnie walked and named things she saw,and they all started with S and ended with D. She hated deserts,they maed her sweat and the sweat sucked up her energy level.

She departed from the Ishval survivors,as she headed in the other directions. After walking a little ways,she wanted to bang her head on something,whose joke was this. she gets away from a group of invalids and runs into the frigging soldiers again. They stop and approach her,as she throws her hands up,they carefully approach her. Vinnie's weapons were designed for her DNA,all weapons of Gaia were done like that. The reason was if you were captured the enemy could not use your weapons. She was stripped of her weapons,and then handcuffed,and loaded in their truck
