Alias: The Raging Water Alchemist
Name: River Dixie
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Weight: 135 lbs
Height: 5'8''
Hair: Black
Eyes: Dark Green
Personality: Ever since River was young, she has been a quiet person. She rarely spoke and only spoke when spoken to. Her love for those close to her is boundless. It’s difficult for her to trust others so she’s constantly weary of others until they are able to prove that they’re trustworthy to her, which could take anywhere from a few days to a few months. It all depends. Young River fears losing those she cares about or being betrayed. She also has a short temper, so those who look to anger her should fear.
At first glance, it seems like she doesn’t like people and would rather them all to jump off the face of the earth, but the truth is that she’s very withdrawn. When a person finally gets past the quiet exterior, she’s friendly. In truth, she’s a shy girl who’s unsure of what to do. She tries not to hold a lot of faith in the human race or in others but someone she manages to. She has a lot to learn when it comes to water. She needs to learn to accept chaos and life as it is sometimes.
River loves sweet things, especially anything that tastes like chocolate or has chocolate on it. She enjoys either sunlight or rain but it depends on her mood. On sunny days when she can slip away unnoticed she’ll find a nice shady tree and just fall asleep, disregarding work and research.
Physical Description:Her body type can be described as willowy. There is a softness but a hardness to her. She works up regularly so she’s not as weak as looks, though she’s no body builder. Her eyes are a dark green that change in the lighting. Her left eye does not focus due to the fact that she was born blind. She may have an eye patch but it’s rare that she’s seen wearing it. The only time she’s seen with her eye patch on is while she’s in uniform. River prefers to wear darker clothes and a pair of black gloves. When she takes off the gloves, she reveals the tattoos on the back of her hands that she uses to perform alchemy. Her hair is an on color, a combination of black and brown. She keeps her hair cut short, but still long enough that she can pull it back if needed.
History: River was born in Central city. Her mother owned and ran a flower shop while her father was a mechanic. Her father dreamed of becoming a top notch mechanic and to follow that dream, he packed up his family to move to Rush Valley. River was four at this time, her parents hadn’t realized that she had been born blind in one eye.
Once in Rush Valley, she met a local boy name Joseph who was two years old then her. From that day on, they were inseparable almost. The two had only been around each for a few months when River finally told Joseph of her secret. She was born blind in one eye. Her parents had never noticed due to being wrapped up in their own lives.
As she got older and continued to stay by Joseph’s side, she began to learn the trade o f alchemy. She played with the basic types before finding her comfort with the element of water. At this time she was ten years old. When she was fifteen, she and Joseph were exploring outside the town limits when River knocked a particular rock that caused a rock slide. If it weren’t for Joseph saving her, she would’ve been crushed under the rocks.
While the automail masters were working on Joseph, River’s father disappeared. The few times she was able to visit Joseph she brought little things she had carved from pieces of wood she had been able to find around Rush Valley. They were usually just rough carvings of animals.
Before she knew it, her mother had packed them up and she was moving back to the home she couldn’t remember. As soon as they were moved back in, her mother opened the flower shop back up where River worked part time whenever she wasn’t studying for the State Alchemist exam. Finally, at age seventeen, she felt confident to take the exam. She was lucky enough to be one of the ones that passed out of among the other exam participants. It wasn’t long after she was given the title “Raging Water Alchemist” when her infamous temper was made known when a man who felt her up was almost drowned in a local pool.
Other: Through her tears and trials, River has learned to manipulate water for defensive and offensive attacks. After she passed the exam she had transmutation circles tattooed in her hands. For general alchemy, she carries a flask of water under her coat but when it comes to bigger transmutations she needs a body of water. Her favorite technique to use is when she’s a large body of water, she transmutes the water into water dragons that attack the target with a chance of drowning them.

It had been a long day with quite possibly an even longer night to follow. River blinked and shook her head. Her eyes were dry. When was the last time she blinked? She looked at her lunch and propped her head up on her hand. It wasn’t like she ate that much anymore. Frowning, she rubbed her uncovered eye. It was raining again. It had been raining a lot lately. Sighing softly she tore a chunk out of the bread on her plate and ate it. She continued doing that until the bread was gone. Then she started with her vegetables. At least there weren’t any Brussels sprouts. That would’ve been a problem. Even when she was a kid she hated the vegetables and she still did. Then there was the cup of soup. At least it was warm. She dipped her spoon into the liquid and took a sip carefully. It burnt her tongue and she winced before continuing on. The warmth seeped through her and she smiled slightly. The smile was faint and barely there but at least she was starting to smile again.
Once she had finished her meal, she took the dishes back before walking out of the mess hall. She looked up at the sky and watched the rain fall. Pulling off her gloves, she stuffed them back into her pocket. She knelt down in a puddle, not caring that her pants were getting wet. She pressed her palms into the water, just feeling the water.
It was a familiar feeling, the cold water chilling her skin. A nice, familiar, old feeling. Her uniform was getting wet and her hair was sticking to her face. It was going to be a long night, tolerable, but long. Standing up, she shook her head and looked up at the sky.
“Maybe..tomorrow there’ll be sunshine."
