(I always pictured it to be a girls name like Julia or Lulia But Jay's probaby the most logical if ya see that J and Jay don't even sound that different. )

((Actually in the Japanese Manga he's called Zorufu Jei Kinburi, the Red Lotus Alchemist. As for Barry?.....Well, he's Baron Bartholowmew von Munchausen, right? xD And yeah, I picked Jay because it sounds like 'J' ))

(I think Havocs had the whip to his back at work. At least that's what his last post said. Plus it's the weekend and things sometimes get slow. Ha! Poor Barry...I actually have an 'inner' Zolf too. Along with all my other 'muses' which is what I call them. Sometimes they're a pain in the arse. They seem to think I'm just a warm body to have a residence in, rotten demons that they are. God I'm soooo boreeed!!!)

Sheska ate her sandwich slowly, but at the mention of chocolate cake she gave a sigh. It had been a while since she had anything like that... and she wasn't prone to eating too much... But she smiled. People usually didn't talk to her for too long... and going out with two people was more than she could ever expect.

Roze shook her head. It wasn't a salad, perse, but then again, it did look a bit light, didn't it? She turned to the waiter before saying, "Um... please make one cake a vanilla Ice Cream," she smiled to him. The waiter nodded and turned back to get the orders. She turned back to Mr. Kimblee as he spoke. "I... guess..." she sighed. He was right, it was an ample time to start a business... but depending on the business, it might not work. "You know... Cornero is going to have to agree for your shop to open, or else he could order you out of the city." She turned back to the window. "And about him... He's the priest here. He said that he could bring Kaine back from the dead... but then later he said he had lied... and put some bird creature to kill me... one that he said had been Kaine..." Her eyes teared up at that memory... and that Al had come to rescue her. That's when Cornero had spilt the beans on his little gimmick, but then, a new one had come... or, the old one as some people thought.... Wiping her eyes, she turned back to them, a pained smile on her face. "Um... sorry... I don't know if you should go see Cornero right now... he seems kind of... different..."

(( TT^TT sorrz guys, my boss had me on a leash almost >.> ))
With one brief nod to them both, Jean pulled open the door, standing the side to let Hawkeye out, as he was a gentleman. After everyone had left the room, he locked it, yet was not very satisfied with the security their stuff had. With one good kick someone could take the door down. Then again, anyone who did decide to ransack their room would leave with a dumbstruck face, seeing as their luggage consisted of dresses, make-up, jewellery and extra ammo. At least, he had ammo in his bags still, he hoped it would stay a mystery as to what else Zolf had brought along.
The moment he stepped outside, the blonde got hit by a dusty breeze of dry air, closing his eyes shut against the sand. "Any idea as to where we should start?" He turned to look at his companions, one hand gesturing to what appeared to be the main street while the other pointed towards the more shady part of town Either would prove to be a good source, it just all came down to credibility of the teller and figuring out whether it was just the latest gossip.

Barry followed the others out of the room, noticing the polite gesture Havoc gave Riza by holding open the door. Pf. That probably didn't mean anything serious. he convinced himself easily. As they got out of the rickety hotel, he shrugged in response to Havoc's question. "Dunno. I'm supposed to be the dumb load of muscle that does the dirty work. Not the brain. Though I'd say we just randomly ask someone what all the statues depict. Religious people tend to get very indignant that one does not know about their religion, and then rant on about it. I dare say there might be a few useful snippets inbetween there."

[Very clever idea Barry! He's one trig cove that's for sure. ^__^ Sorry about the long posties, I seem to have diarrhea of the word processor lately]
He garnered from the conversation with Roze, that the Homunculus responsible for the strange behavior changes in Cornello hadn't come till after the Elrics had come and gone. He furrowed his brow at this. Was it incidental or was it causal? he wondered, regarding the Elrics involvement in Lior. What role had they played that made them important to the Homunculi? Interesting...
The rest of the information was evident to anyone who knew what he knew. He was pleased that Roze was happy to eat a dessert. He wasn't shy or stingy about spending his money on other people, especially when they weren't shy about receiving. As long as no one took advantage of him, he could be a generous person, almost impulsively so. It was almost a fault, you could say. Few people liked him, but those who did, he spoiled shamelessly, with material things and time. He'd taken to Barry pretty quickly and so it had been easy to spend a small fortune on that cleaver at the pawn shop. Those who treated him with scorn, contempt and without dignity got their reward too: He'd become a pain in their ass to the point that they sorely regretted getting on his shit list. And when he could get away with it, he made sure those he really hated regret the very last time they saw him, before he ended their miserable existences.
Greed had been one of those people. He acted so magnanimous, as if he'd been the very cause and source of his freedom. But he'd already freed himself and was on his way out when he bumped into him. It was prudent at the time to work with greater numbers, so he tagged along. To his own regret, he, along with Bido, a chimera, became the low men on the totem pole and the outcasts who were used as 'go-fors' only when they were useful, and treated with contempt and scorn by the rest when they weren't being useful. So when the opportunity came, he made an out for himself along with another reject, the Sewing Life Alchemist...only to fall back into the waiting arms of the military, and the leash of Colonel Frank Archer. The ends justified the means, he supposed, and now he was unwittingly the tool of the homunculi once again. But not for long, he swore to himself. He would just use, use, use whoever he could to meet his ends so that he'd eventually be in a position to spoil those who liked him in peace and freedom.
The waiter interrupted his silent reverie when he brought the cakes and ice cream to them. He took a huge bite of his own, relishing the frosting on his fork. He enjoyed seeing the ladies eat their desserts, especially Sheska, although she seemed to gingerly pick at hers in a delicate fashion. He'd bet his next paycheck that she'd devour it and get frosting all over her face if she were alone, or with girlfriends. He'd love to see that...to see her enjoy other things with the same enthusiasm as she had for her books. So for now, he'd stick with conversation of books to enjoy basking in her enthusiasm. It made him smile on the inside as well as the outside, something that was pretty rare for him. And non-violent too, he might add. No jail cells waiting for him on account of a smile or two. As long as he stayed balanced (and on his medications, he added resentfully), his destructive tendencies remained in check. If it came to all-out battle in this town, and it would, it would be a very dangerous time for him. He'd been handed carte blanche to be as destructive as he wanted in Ishbal, but even then he took it too far once the power of the incomplete stone took hold of him.
To achieve his ends, he'd have to play along with Envy, to appease and placate him. But before it was over, he knew Lior would suffer a rain of blood. And now that Sheska was here, he'd have to keep an eye on her and make sure she was long gone from Lior when it happened. He wanted her safe so that when it was over, he could make her his. Because she was, whether she knew it or not at the moment. His mind was made up. She was his, and he was going to give her everything, including his name, before it was all said and done.
"So Roze," he asked, "how would I go about getting a temple tour? I'd like to see the inside of that place. Plus, I guess I should ingratiate myself to your prophet with gifts and offerings if I plan on opening a business here."
"Enjoying your cake, lady bug?" he added to Sheska, eyes twinkling playfully. He couldn't resist playing into the 'fiance' bit. It gave him a moment to feel...normal.

Yeah, Kimblee is very very stubborn and once his mind is set, it's a done deal. (For some reason, I see Kimblee picking her up in a wedding dress, tossing her over his shoulder and dragging her down the aisle whining, "Why does this always happen to meeee!!" x3 ) No wonder he has a temper when life has other plans! xD There's always hope for Barry. Kimblee has his plans in that area too. Who can say? Maybe not Riza, but someone's bound to love him. Everyone need wuv... <3 (sickening, eh? xD) And yeah...Kimblee's on meds. He damn well should be.]

( whaa... i haven't a idea where i could go now... here are so much people... it's ok when i meet sheska in the restaurant... she is in the restaurant, isn't she???) [Actually, not to try and discourage you (you can enter Roy wherever you like), but right now Frank Archer is positioned in this RP with no one to interact with at the moment. It could be interesting to see him rattle Franks cage a bit. But like I said, enter in wherever you want. Barry, Riza and Havoc are also going to be out on the streets getting a feel from the crowds about the unsettled civic state of affairs, so that's another possible entry point for you.]

(Seeing Bido somehow magically got to Lior in a matter of hours, I’m gonna just say screw it and have Envy appear already despite there being no logical explanation as to how he could get there so soon.)
Envy had flown quite a ways to get to Lior, and was quite tired by having flown through the desert for so long. While he could recover from any wound, he was still far from immune to the effects of physical exhaustion. . .It made him wonder why the likes of Barry and Alphonse despised their bodies so much. He figured it probably had to do with their lack of available means of sexual reproduction. . .God, how obsessed humans got over it. Still, Al hadn’t even seemed to of hit puberty yet, so why did he care?
Had Envy known what had happened at the Devil’s Nest shortly after he’d left, he might’ve considered staying back to help Greed to gain his trust, but still, nothing was bigger priority then what was about to occur. Everything was in place to make a full philosopher’s stone, and he had to produce it before Dante and the others took advantage of the situation or even learned that it was going to happen.
Envy went up into the most holy of the temples and took on the guise of Father Cornello. He sat down lazily in a chair that was so fancy that it bordered on a throne. This place was quite nice and rich, far better then Pride’s office. Why did he even bother envying how Pride had people to wait on him hand and foot? Envy could simply stop by here to get people to serve him whenever he so desired, although unfortunately he was about to lose this place of rest. . .It’d be more then worth it to form the philosopher’s stone, though. Besides, despite the richness of the place, he was absolutely disgusted by the religious atmosphere.
After lounging about and thinking a few moments, one of Cornello’s closest followers came in, who was quite startled to see that his “master” had finally returned. He took a quick bow and asked ”Thank you for returning to grace us with your presence, father. What is the will of god?”. Envy chuckled to himself as he rested his now large bald head in his palm. ”Just fetch me a chalice of wine for the moment, Figaro. I thirst from my long travels to convert the stragglers across the desert.”. Figaro nodded, then left as quickly as he came.
Envy pondered as to how he could locate Kimblee and the others. He could order his men to do it, but he planned to show Kimblee off as one of his “followers” and perform the transmutation of the city in public for the world to see so that there would be no suspicion of homunculi being involved in this, so it’d be bad if he issued a manhunt for him. He’d just have to go find him himself, it seemed. . .This annoyed Envy. He’d already gone on a long journey, he wanted to relax in these chambers for one final time while his foolish followers did the work.
Figaro returned and kneeled before Envy as he casually took the chalice from his hands, chuckling to himself once more and taking a big gulp from the golden chalice. ”Will that be all, father Cornello?”. ”I require nothing more of you, my child, but I require that you tell me how the construction of the holy moat is going.”. ”Quite well, father. Will you be ready to perform the rapture soon?”. Envy grimaced as he opened up his old wrinkled eyes fully. ”But of course. . .Off you go now, Figaro. Take the rest of the day off. This is time for celebration”.. Figaro nodded and took his leave. ”Thank you, father.”.
After he was sure that the follower was gone, Envy chuckled and turned to his normal form as he put down the chalice on the armrest of the throne and went to go lock the door. He casually went back to plop onto his chair and propped up his feet on a desk, drinking the wine. While he didn’t require liquid, he was always rather fond of alcohol, and it certainly helped to beat the heat. While he couldn’t risk becoming drunk for the ritual he had to perform in the guise of Cornello, he was quite resistant to alcohol, having built up a strong resistance to it over his 400 years. While Envy couldn’t afford to have his men search for Kimblee and would have to do it himself, that didn’t mean he couldn’t relax for 5 minutes.
