The way to Central and Mr.Tucker

[Ling Yao]

Al walked besides Ed and Winry. They were walking nearly the whole day. He didn't feel tired but his brother and Winry might. " Brother do you want to have ..... aarg" Al sunk into the sand bolow him. " Help brother, Winry"

[AG]

"Al!" Ed exclaimed as he got down on his hands and knees. "Al! I'll get you outta there!" He yelled. He began digging where his brother had sunk into the sand.

[Ling Yao]

Al streched his hands but has grabed only sand. He was sinking deeper and deeper. He couldn't hear Ed nor Winry.

Ed continued to dig faster and faster, "Al! Al!" He kept yelling. He found Al's hand and tried pulling him up. He was unable to pull him out. "Oh man! Al, I'll get you out!" He said as he dug farther and farther. "Jeeze Al, how far did you sink this time..." He asked when he realized he was about three feet into the ground. He was able to uncover his head. "At least you stopped sinking huh, Al?" Ed chuckled. Ed was able to then dig his brother out the rest of the way.

After he dug Al out of the sand completely he sat on the ground huffing and puffing. "You sunk far that time..." He said in broken speech. He looked at the hole that his brother was in. "We better fill that in..." He said as he started to get up. He then fell to the ground resting, "maybe in a minute." He said with a sigh.

"Thank you brother! That was really close. Let me help you"
They finish the work and began to rest. The sun was high and Ed and Winry seemed very tired. Hope they have enough stamina to make it to Central. We could have taken the train. "Well we still have several miles to go"

[AG]

Ed looked at his brother. "Yeah, we do have a long way to go yet." He said. He looked to Winrey, "You need to take a rest?" Ed said as he hopped up. He was obviously covering up his own exhaustion. "Heh, I am fine if you are!" He boasted.

The sun was blazing down on them and they had been walking for along time so Winrey was exhausted but not wanting to Ed to think she was weak, she didn't want to admit it.
She looked over at Ed and thought. He looks really tired. Digging Al out of the sand must have really wore him out. I think he needs to rest, but I know as stubborn as he is he won't stop for a rest unless its for me. She sighed knowing she had to be the better person and admit her weakness for his sake.
"Yea Ed, I think I need a little break, it's so hot out here that I need to get a drink of water and take a little rest."
She smiled weakily at Ed.

Ed nodded, "sure, let me get it for you...I am sure aunt Pinako put some water in the satchel." He said as he opened Al's chest plate again and dug around for some water. "Hmm, no water..." He mumbled as he dug through the satchel. "I guess we will have to find some water." Ed told Winrey. Maybe I can transmutate water...hmmm maybe if I used the vapor in the air... "Hey, I have an idea!" Ed exclaimed as he grabbed a cup from the satchel. "All I have to do is..." he started as he clapped his hands and managed to rearrange the vapor in the air into drops of water. He filled half the small cup before he ran out of vapor. He took the cup and offered to Winrey. "I think I probably took away this area's any chance of rain for awhile, but if you wish to drink, here." He said with a blushing smile to Winrey.

He transmuted water for me? Aww, how sweet.
She felt a slight blush come to her cheeks as he handed her the cup.
Relax girl it's just Ed being nice. She tried to compose her self.
"Thank you , Ed, That was really nice of you." She gave him a sweet smile.

After Winrey took the glass, Ed stood up tall. His smile grew larger and with even more blushed cheeks then before. "Not a problem Winrey..." He told her nervously. He sat down next to her and looked around. "We shouldn't rest too long, we have a long way to go. I think I should check in at HQ while we're there. I hate to do that because I may have to see...you know who there." Ed sighed. He was, of course, thinking about Colonel Roy Mustang. "Morally currupt Colonel with a God complex..." Ed mumbled as he curled his knees to his face.

Winrey giggled at Ed's comment about Colonel Mustang as she finished her water. She looked over at Ed and smiled. I love it when he is opens up to me, no matter what he says.
"Ed, thanks to the water you gave me, I am feeling much better. If you are feeling up to it, we can go.
And we can stop at your HQ when we get to Central, I don't mind at all." She gave him a wink.

Al was playing with a cat when Ed transmuted water for Winry. He was thinking to give the cat to Nina or someone at the HQ. Al was very happy when his brother didn't have anything to say about the cat acompanying them.
Al stoped paying with the cat and got up to cintinue their way to Central. He let the cat on his shoulders and joined Ed and Winry.
........long time after.......
Al saw shape of Central. He was happy to see it. "Brother, Winry! We are near Central. I can see the HQ now."

Ed also saw the beginnings of Central. "Good, we are almost there!" Ed sighed with relief. Walking in the desert took a toll on him. "Well, I will see you guys safely to Mr. Tucker's. Then I will head to HQ." Ed told the two of them.

As they reached the city Ed lead them to Mr. Tucker's house. "Ok, here we are, I'll see you two in a bit. Al, when you are done visiting here you two can meet me at HQ. Al will know where to find me." Ed told them as he began to leave for HQ.
