New meetings & information gathering

The city of Central was as usual busy and people walked through the streets without paying much attention to anyone. Everybody seemed busy with their own and only their own business, not having the slightest clue of what happened right under their noses. One of those fine examples would probably be the raid Pride must have caused in the bar in Dulpith by now.

Lust walked in silence through the crowd as she closed her brown long coat, with a fine fluff ending, a bit tighter. Inside she gave the humans disgusted looks for their incompetence of knowing such a things. Though it wasn’t as if she cared either, not in the slightest. All she cared about was that because Envy hadn’t appeared to be in Dulpith now she was stuck with looking for him instead.

Dante had given her the mission to find her dear ‘brother’ Envy and drag him back. Their mistress had given each of them their territories to look for the traitor. Pride had done a inspection of Dulpith and Greed his hideout and Wrath had apparently been send off to Lior. And so Lust found herself walking through central now. Looking for any sign or clue that might lead her to the other homunculus.

[Warrant Officer Vato Falman And Cpt. David Remington]

"Ehhh..... So this is Central City, huh?" David look upon the buildings as Vato Falman follows from behind. "Yes, Captain." Falman utterly replies as he look at other civilians walking around the streets. It been his first time arrived in Central City, David never see a society like this before; it was rather quite peaceful around here although the military presence are powerful. "Hehe, sorry for dragging you into this, Falman. Because I wasn't know the way in the Central City."

"No, it doesn't matter Captain Remington. It was my duty to guide you around the city." Falman immediately salutes towards the captain, it was also his first time that he guide such a young commanding officer, yet he is a nice person. David looking around and look into the sky again, he inhale the fresh air deeply. "Oh yeah, where's Colonel Mustang anyway? I haven't see him around." Falman was quickly in respond,

"Colonel Mustang must be doing important matters, sir."

".... The Elric Brothers?"

"Resembool, sir"

"I see..... It's been 6 years I haven't meet them since I left Resembool for war. But after the State Alchemists goes by the name of Elric brothers, I know its them but SADLY....." David sighed in comical way as Falman keep silent. Suddenly, David accidentally bump into a woman, "Oh... So...." something stop David for apologizing, the woman rather attractive and beauty. David was kept silent as his face turns red. "Captain.... Captain" Falman whispers behind him but David couldn't hear him.

Lust had been pondering to herself where Envy could possible be hiding if he had been as dumb as to choose Central as his hiding place. Which would have been quite a stupid move as it was nearly hiding in the cave of the lion. Though on the other hand it was the most unlikely hiding place as well. But Lust highly doubted she should expect Envy to even be hiding. True he wouldn't be as dumb as to go out to openly but he would certainly not be sitting on his ass in some dark corner, waiting for Dante to dropp dead by aging.

Lust had continued her way through the city in silence as she was thinking of all possible places she had to check to possibly find Envy, or at leats do her duty and look for him. That is until her trail of thoughts rudely got interupted when she bumped into someone.
The lucious female homonculus looked up to see who had dared doing so when she found herself looking at a young officer, captain seeing by the stars and stripes. The man had started to talk but suddenly had stopped and turned red as the man behind him, which Lust recognised as one of Mustangs dogs was calling for his supirior. "Yes?" Lust asked patiently as she crossed her hands under her chest, forcing herself to hold back the small smirk she felt coming up. She could spare some time to play a little with this possibly interesting new aquatance.

"Hu...Huh..? David quickly shook his head quickly, "No...Nothing! Hahaha...." David laughed comically, few hairs stood from Falman's head. David was hope that he could befriended with this beauty for some time, all of his friends in military already have girlfriends and only David hasn't yet, still single. "A...Ahem...." David clears his throat for a while. "I'm sorry for bump you in sudden..... Uhh...uh.... It's not I'm flirting or what..... but your.... your beautifulness preventing me from apologizing...." David blushed while scratching his head again.

Silence with both sides, Falman shakes his head and places his face onto his palm "Another Colonel Mustang or Lt. Jean Havoc......" but Falman still concentrates on his duty. David couldn't say anything anymore except introducing himself, "Oh... my apologize! I'm David Remington, just arrived at Central City from Southern Headquarters, and this is 2nd Lt. Vato Falman.""

"Captain.... I'm Warrant Officer....."

Lust listened to the man his stuttering, amused to no end at the man's flattering attampts. He was honest and blunt, though clumsy in his words. This could be interesting.

"Nice to meet you captain, warrant officer." Lust smiled peasantly at the two men. "My name is Solaris." Lust said. Maybe this young captain could be of use.

"Solaris..... What a nice name." David gives out his gently smile, but Falman still uses his serious expression. "Captain... I..." "Oh! Falman! Didn't you say that you have something important matter to do? Well, go on! I need to have a chat with Miss Solaris for a while." David grabs Falman towards to the place nearby comically. "Listen, Falman... Perhaps this is my lucky day so.... Why don't you head back towards office for a while, huh?"

"But..."

"Ah...! So be it, Falman! I'll see you around tomorrow! Ok?"

Falman says nothing, but he have to obey it because David hold his rank as a captain. He salutes first and walks away, tears coming out from his eyes comically, "Colonel Mustang... Forgive me...

Lust forced herself to uphold her serious expression, though the man his flirting attempts were amusing her to no end. Her priority was actually to find Envy but if there was a new pawn in central it wouldn’t hurt if she checked the new player in the game out to see if he could be of any use. Beside she didn’t know yet if the man might have some alchemy talents. Though she doubted this but nevertheless he could maybe still be useful so it Lust decided that this young captain was worth socializing with for a moment.

"So.... Solaris-san..." David scratches his head for a moment as he walk towards to Solaris. "I'm glad to acquaintance with you... or befriended with you.." David again clears his throat again as he covers his mouth, it was his first time talking to a woman that he never recognized. "So.... Ah why don't we sit at any cafe and have a chat for a while... You know.... Like telling each other's stories..."

Lust smiled to herself. How could any prey come easier than this as the young man very willing invited her to ‘tell each other stories’. Just perfect, she could get done with this pretty quickly.
“That sounds pleasant.” She answered with a small smile as she brushed some of her long black hair out of her face. “Do you know any places here or are you new?” She asked, it was time to pull up her acting talents here and act sweet and clueless about the young man.

"Know any places? I just arrived here two days ago." David closes his eyes with a smile, as they walking down the road. The Central City was quite busy as David thought, but luckily no one was interfering their "nice day". "I used to be stationed in Southern Area, fending off against Aurego intruders for 4 years. Oh, sorry for bringing that topic out... That soldier's thing..." David chuckled a bit and something draws his attention; a cafe is already in front of them.

Flashes in David's eyes, he turn towards to Solaris with his gentle smile, "That's a cafe, no mistake by telling it." David walks into the cafe as the waiter saw him.

"Welcome sir, how many person?"

"2 please."

The waiter shows the way towards to a table with only two seats. "Gentleman style... Thanks for the tips Brad!" David quickly pulled out the chair from the table, waiting for Solaris to sit down.

Lust followed David, quitely listening as he started babbling on. So he was an open person who liked to talk, that was good. Beside he was new around here so it would probably make things easier as well.

As a small, seeming cosy, cafe caught David's eye and he invited her along Lust followed in. A waiter led them to their table and the young captain proofed himself a gentleman by pulling out a chair for her. Lust rewarded his polite attempts by giving him a smile.

Once both of them were seated she leaned forwards a bit. "So...David. Please continue, I don't find those stories borring, quite the oposite even. I have a curiousity for the politics of this country and how the military handles them." Lust said, making sure to sound curious. "But it's rather hard for outstanders to know anything about our army." She added.

Lust twisted a stray of hair around her fingers as she looked at the young captain. "And I wonder, how can someone seemingly so young have such a important rang." She added.

"Hahaha... I'll take that as a compliment.." David smiles with his eyes closed, the waiter approaches them and put the coffee gently on the table. At first, David was nervous for talking with a young woman like Solaris for the first time but he felt that the feeling is gone, like he knows Solaris at very early times. "It is rather odd that a young lady like you very interested in politics and the State Military... Interesting...." David places his chin on his right palm after he places his right hand on the table, look at Solaris twists her hair.

"Well, I was served in the military about 7 years. Means that I join military at the age of 18. And I've been experienced many battles, tactics and futile commanding charisma.... Perhaps that's why I was promoted to Captain and transfered to here, Central City. I was stationed here for any duties in this city but.... there's nothing happen around first, maybe Colonel Mustang take care of them." David scratching his left side burn with his finger with his half smile.

Colonel Mustang, the Flame Alchemist. David was greatly indebted with him because the colonel save him once, otherwise he wouldn't sitting here right now. "Roy Mustang.... Must be a lot of women around here crazed about him because his face of prince, I suggested you admire him too?" David take a sip from the coffee. "Face of prince.. where the heck did I get that sentence...?"[/color] Suddenly something bothers his mind when he drinks the coffee.

When I was in Xing at very young age, a lot of ladies crazed about me you know! Not because of my martial arts but my face of prince as well! If you don't believe me, then I'LL BREAK EVERY BONES OF YOURS UNTIL YOU BELIEVE IT!!!"

The face of David's uncle in his mind forced him to spit the coffee out from his mouth and coughed comically in front of Solaris.

Lust gave David a small smile as she looked into her cup, slowly rippling the surface as she turned into it with her spoon. "Mhhh..." She carefully weighted her next words. "It's a shame." She said. "After all the politics of our country concerns all the inhabitands doesn't it." Lust pointed out calmly. She staid in her role perfectly. Though not all she said was full acting. She did wonder how those stupid humans could stay so indifferent one moment and the next person would make such a drama about one little sacrefice. Humans did work on strange ways.

As David started to tell about his military experience Lust listened quitely. This young man had enough of a history. 7 years of experience could proof itself useful. If the young man was going to be stationed at Central than they might get some use of him. However the questioned remained at how good this new little paw would be in both use and logic thinking, whether he would be useful or a threat.

As David mentioned the Flame Alchemist Lust decided that it would indeed be best if she treated this new soldier with care and keep a close eye on the man. She carefully listened as David started to explain about his connection to the flame colonel. 'Face of a prince'? The young captain certainly had a way with words, if that was the way he talked to his supiriors he would indeed be promoting quickly. Though the question remained wheter it was on purpose to flatter his bosses or in a kind nature. "I heard of the man yes." Lust said calmly. "I did hear he is quite popular with the women of Central, though I can't say I have had the pleasure of encountering with him yet." She decided to flatter the young captain by leaving the charmer of Central out of the conversation. If she would make the young man think he made a chance with her she would probably reach more. As she also ignored the comment of the 'face of a prince'.

Lust rose an eyebrow as David suddenly coughed out his drink for no reason at all. It had probably been for some odd thought that she could only link to the weird 'face of a prince' stuff as she couldn't think of any other reason. But she decided to ignore it for the time being. Instead she kept the conversation going. "Say David, I wondered, are you a Amestrian?" She asked as she took a sip of her cup.

"Dammit.... Why the face of the old uncle Liu appeared in my mind...?

"Say David, I wondered, are you a Amestrian?"

This is his first time he heard about the young woman's question, no one asks him either he is Amestrian or not but now, Solaris is asking it. "..Actually I'm half Amestrian, half Xingese. My father is an Amestrian in Resembool while my mother is a Xingese. Speaking of that... My Xingese uncle also live in Resembool as well, after my mother married to my father. And..... following the Xingese traditions.... we have to practiced Xingese martial arts at very young age, as my uncle want to...." David look at the coffee in the cup and look at Solaris again.

"Resembool?" Lust asked as she leaned her head on her hands. That was the home town of the two Elrics, this was getting more and more interesting. "I heard of that town." She added with a little hand gesture. "So I assume this also means you do martial arts?" She added. This young man could indeed be useful. But there was still a difference between what he said and what he was actually capable of. "And what about Alchemy? It is quite popular within the military." She added as she finished her drink and put the cup back on the little plate. "Shall we take a walk?" She added suggestively. It would probably be more careful to continue these conversations elsewhere than at a little cafe.

"Take a walk? Sure, why not?" David gestured at the waiter to come, he took out few coins and give them to him. The waiter nodded with a smile and he walks away from both David and Solaris. "Alchemy? I really interested in that when I was small bu my parents are strongly oppose me for becoming an alchemist. But I'll know a lot of alchemy histories.." David stands up from his seat and walk out. "So what about you, Solaris? What is your occupation?"

Lust stood up from her seat following behind the man. "Why would they opose against it?" She asked conversationally as she took the lead in their little walk as they got to the less buisy parts of central which allowed them to have more privat conversations. "What about Xing Alchemy?" She asked. "And my occupations aren't nearly as interesting as yours." She added lightly.
