Roze shook her head. She didn't know what she wanted, but she knew that she had to give the guy a chance. "Riza... this may sound too optomistic, but I've seen how he acts when he lets down his outer barriers and lets some one in. I want to believe in that, and believe that if someone believes in that side of him, he'll be nicer to humanity as a whole... What he needs isn't damnation- he needs forgiveness and salvation..." She looked up at Riza, tears now in her eyes- but were they for the past, or where they for Kimblee... or were they a combonation of the two? She didn't even know herself. "So... I feel that if I give up on him, he will give up on what little light he actually has... So for that reason, I cannot give up on him..." She smiled sadly at the female. Maybe she was wrong about Kimblee- she knew he had other friends, but not very many who liked him for who he really was, not what he appeared to be. She just wanted him to have another that believed in him...
OoC: Wow... Even I didn't Know Roze would act so strongly... And before you say that's weird, I let the characters write themselves- I don't write them. In that respect... even I can be suprised at what happens.

He was reaching to pick up the little rug rat when Martel pulled her away. He simply shrugged and listen to the chimeras bandy words with each other.
"Sometimes it's necessary to make a cooperative effort as a group." he said casually, "Liking each other is purely optional." he added, glancing briefly at Martel.
He turned to Bido, "Don't sweat it Bido, she's a snake chimera. It's not her nature to be forgiving. It would seem the snake side has the bigger say than her human side."
He stood up to go, stretching and yawning, "Well, it's been real, folks. Envy, let me know when we're ready to move out."
He walked back outside a bit nonplussed at seeing Riza on Barrys shoulder. He grinned, satisfied for his metal budy.
Archer
"Havoc.." he said with an irritated sigh, "You tell that errant alchemist that he's to stay with the current mission. I'll have his stripes if he doesn't! Dismissed!" he said, hanging up with a grumble.

Riza
She listened in solemn silence as Roze defended the alchemist. Perhaps the girl was a bit naive, but she sure was passionate for what she believed in.
She simply sighed, "Well, anything is possible as long as time exists, I suppose. I'm only concerned about your well being."
Kimblee
He caught part of the exchange between Roze and Riza. He smiled at how Roze stood up for him. He felt a bit ashamed, really. He felt he'd done nothing to earn such devotion and defense on his behalf.
Riza worried him a bit with her constant warnings against him. It's not like they were entirely unwarranted, but he'd just as soon the woman minded her own business, and told her so.
"Riza, why don't you leave matters of the heart for those who actually have relationships or are trying to. You got no room to talk you...spinster." he snapped.
He noticed the flower in Rozes hair and gave her a small smile as he straightened it. "Glad you like it." he said with a goofy blush. God he felt like such a doofus! This girl had him wrapped around her pretty little finger. For some reason, looking at Roze made him think of Martels kid. He raised his brow at what the connection implied.

"Since they arrived safely, what else do you need from me. It's good to see you return with the childred safely, I was worried that there would be some injuries." Marco spoke nodding to the group as he looked up, he had only touched a third of the bottle and was really just being rather lazy at the moment. Though he should probably do something to make sure they were ok, as he was a doctor. "If you wanted I could make sure the children are in perfect health, it wouldn't take long just to be sure."

Barry laughed hoarsely at Riza's comment. "Admit you like it, you're safe up here." He said teasingly, jiggling her up and down a bit on his shoulder. He still listened absentmindedly to their conversation, not really paying attention to anything but Riza. As she glanced down at him he winked mischievously, doing anything to attract her attention.

Roze shook her head. "I know... but..." She didn't know how to finish her thought. She then heard Kimblee, and his rather... unwarrented snap at her. "Kimblee." she gently chided, "If you keep this up... people won't see you for who you really are... and they'll keep pushing you away and disliking you..." She didn't like that people couldn't see past his exterior, but then again... it was as if he wanted nobody to get through...

"Finally, he's gone" Martel muttered with a sigh when the alchemist left. Just having him out of the room calmed her slightly.
"The four of you" Greed said suddenly, glancing at Bido, Dorochet, Martel, and Loa. "You just go relax. I'll come get you when you're needed". He then glanced at Envy, silently telling the elder Homunculus to stay quiet about his descision; he wasn't going to make his people live bait for the old hag.

"Sure thing boss, just yell when it's action time." Dorochette said. "In the meanwhile; nap time." He added before walking upstairs. To be honest the chimeras were pretty much exhausted after those days of running around for the two infants.

Envy was rather passive for the most part. . .It’d been a good bit too long since he’d had a decent beer. While he was still plenty aware of his surroundings and was highly resistant to the stuff, he didn’t feel much need to contribute anyway. There wasn’t anything he could do to make them recover faster, and it seemed they were going off to rest now anyway, so. . .Best to not disturb them. While in his mind they weren’t much more then meat shields, he needed them to get Greed to go along with him, and there was little reason to tell the others. He was perfectly content to wait. . .For now.

Siran stretched her arms as some of her joints cracked, she liad her head on the counter. She was becoming restless,as she took out on of her daggers,"Bored Now."her voice emotionless.
Siran stood up,and left the bar,and headed outside. She merely smirked at the members of their group outside as she continued to walk. She needed to kill someone ,she needed to feel thier blood running over her hand. She hid her dagger again,as she walked. Soon, she heard footfalls behind her. She liked playing the naive girl. She acted scared, and started running, and then turned into an alley.
A ugly man, with missing teeth and almost no hair on his head. He slammed against her,as he said,"Don't scream." i wasn't planning on it,she thought.
She smirked on the inside,as he was threw her to the ground. She watched him,as she had a rock and was drawing her circle into the ground. He was trying to undress himself, but was thinking to much on Siran's outfit that consisted on many buckles and underlying layers. She activated the circle as a faint blue light lit the alleyway. As the ground turned liquid,"she said in the same emotionless voice,"Don't scream."
The man did try to scream as the ground wrapped around him,and then turned solid again. She got up and brushed herself off,as she kicked the statue down. She watched as it crumbled and blood seeped from the statue,as she smirked, and picked up the guy's wallet. But to add insult, she jumped on the remains of the guy till it looked like a pile of red colored mud.
She whistled as she walked back to Devil's Nest. She felt a little relief." It felt good to let off some steam."she said normally again.

Riza
Her face registered none of the irritation she felt at Kimblee's insults. Spinster. She knew the rumors that circulated around her; that she would live and die devoted to Roy Mustang. People simply could not seem to conceive the possibility that devotion in a woman didn't entail romantic feelings. She ignored it and did her job day by day.
"Fine," she answered him, "I will mind my business, from up here." she said, smiling at the armored soul and patting the top of his head.
Kimblee
He cupped her face in his hands and spoke to her softly, "Roze, Roze, Roze..." he said, shaking his head as he brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I'm very selective about who I let in. It's not a good idea to be so transparent; it just gives people ammunition to whip out and use against you later."

Roze bristled somewhat against Kimblee's touch. It wasn't that she didn't like it- it was that she was sort of miffed with him right now. "And if you exclude almost everyone, they'll have ammunition to throw at you as well- only they can make stuff up, and say it's true, because nobody knows if it is or not." It seemed like Kimblee was succeeding in making her mad again, whether he meant to or not. "So you believe you should go about life shutting everyone out, and never having friends...? Even though I may get hurt, at least I had the joy of companionship along the way. I'd rather have joy at first, then have pain, rather than have lesser pain all the time. At least then I can look upon something and say that I've got a memory that I can love and cherish. Alone, those don't come often, if at all. They're rare enough with friends." She sighed, closing her eyes. A minute later, she opened them again. "I'm trying to give you a chance... Kimblee... so you can find out what I'm talking about... but when you act like this... it makes it harder on me to prove to otherhs you have a decent side, if all they see is this snooty side..." By this time, she seemed calmed for now... unless Kimblee riled her up again... This was not helping her mood- and sometimes, girl's moods aren't the most stable to begin with... Though Roze's was fairly stable... it seemed this guy had a power to pull her strings...

Barry purred with contentment at her touch. He barely registered that Kimblee seemed to be having a little scuffle with his new female acquaint acquaintance so to say.

Martel followed Dorochet to the living quarters of the Nest, though she stayed for a brief moment, almost as though she was concerned that something was going to happen. She reached her room, and tried to relax on her bed. She really needed to get some sleep. Unfortunately, she was lying when she said Ariana would start screaming whenever she was placed down. The girl was very calm whenever she was being held upright, but as soon as her body lay flat on the bed, she'd just begin wailing.
----------------------
"So" Greed began once his main chimeras had left, turning to look at his elder "brother". "What made you decide to go after the saggy whore now? Why didn't you just do it back when she didn't have any real protection?" Obviously he was referring to the Homunculi that were still loyal to her, including the "new Gluttony".

"So that's it, huh?" he answered Roze, "You know, I'm starting to think you don't want a boyfriend. You just want a pet project."
A bit hurt and indignant, he turned away from her, head down and hands shoved in his pockets. He skulked off to the Nest for a drink. He turned his head and looked back at her, "There's a lot to be said for accepting people the way they are. I don't have a thing to prove to anyone. And if you feel like it's your job to 'prove' I'm not a jackass to everyone, then maybe I'm just a bit too 'ghetto' for a girl like you."
He pushed the door open and went downstairs to the bar. Maybe Bido and Envy would still be there to drink with.
Riza
"Uh oh...looks like trouble in paradise." she said dryly to Barry. She turned her attention to Roze, "Just let him cool his heels, Roze. He's given to mood swings, he'll mellow out."

Envy hadn’t expected to talk anything but business with Greed considering their past record together, but it seemed he might’ve finally done enough for him to at least –partially- consider trusting him. Maybe. He took a good pause before answering him. ”. . .Honestly? I just finally grew some balls. That and I just really couldn’t take it anymore. I was gonna go insane. Better to die fighting then be doomed to that “life” forever. . .As for her “protection”, I’m not that worried. They won’t expect our attack, so we can pick off Pride, the only threat among them, by himself. “Gluttony”. . .I’m mainly hoping we just attack before it’s completed.”.

After the small incident of Martel being her usually short tempered self Bido had wandered back to Vulch to have a chat with his fellow reptile chimera. It seemed as the Nest was at least going to have a few more moments of peace before all hell broke lose. When the gecko chimera noticed the alchemist coming back down he hopped of his chair to see if anything was wrong as Crimson seemed slightly annoyed. "Something bothering you?" Bido asked the alchemist as he had crawled up the wall and was hanging on a side ways possition on the wall beside the door the Alchemist had just come through.

Kimblee
He sat slumped on the barstool, nursing a glass of whiskey. Bido approached him and he just sighed.
"Oh not much," he said, "Just social adaptation problems, it would seem."
"Bido, if womenfolks seem so dead set on making you change into a complete other person, what attracts them to a man in the first place?"
It was more of a frustrated rant than a question, but a valid point to ponder, nonetheless.

Bido made his way over to hang on the nearly upside down at the bar. "Well if you put it like that I'd say the look. They can try and manipulate the rest. I guess it's easier for them than to convince their sweethearts to go for big surgery." Bido offered, hoping that it would sound as cheering as he had meant. "Or the typical romance story of the bad boy type and the poor girl that manages to get him back on the right road." Bido oddered.

He chuckled at Bido, "Oh..so she just wants me for my handsome mugshot and this hot bod?" he joked. "Well, what you see is what you get." he added.
"Maybe I'm sorely lacking in the social graces and what not, but any woman I have needs to take me as I come, or just let me be. I don't need no one trying to take the 'me' out of me, if you get my drift."
