Riza left the office wondering what Hughes was about to tell the colonel. It's none of your business Riza! Stop it with this speculation crap! she ordered herself. She walked through the streets swiftly and efficiently like she always did. She wanted to get home quickly in case Braha was already there waiting to get in the door. She also just wanted to lie down for a few minutes.
Upon leaving government grounds, she'd been 'gifted' with the worst headache of her life. She was nearly to her apartment building when she eyes started to blurr from the pain. She reached up to pull the clip out of her hair, to see if that was the problem. It relieved a little of the ache but not nearly as much as she wanted. She started walking faster as she searched her uniform's pockets for the small bottle she kept with her at all times. It held a few pain relief tablets that she used for her back pain, a condition she'd only recently recieved due to sitting at a desk and reading and signing papers all day. She found the bottle and popped a single tablet into her mouth, hoping it would work fast enough to get her home safely.

HUGHES
On his way home he saw Riza pop something in her mouth. "Miss Hawkeye, are you alright?" He saw the pain she seemed to be in. "let me make sure you get home safe...and at the same time we can work out a time you can watch Elisia!" He said as his tone got louder. A smile spread across his face as he grabbed Riza's arm.

"Lt. Colonel!" Riza replied to his talking to her. He'd snuck up on her without her even noticing. "No, sir,...I'm fine. Just bit of a headache. I can find my own way home," she added trying to evade Hughes' babysitting request. She backpeddled quickly to escape his grasp.

ED
Ed came stomping by Riza and Hughes, still dripping of milk and mumbling about Winrey. "1st Lt, Lt. Colonel..." He mumbled as he stomped past them.
HUGHES
Hughes nodded as Riza told him she was fine. He saw Ed pass them, he looked rather confused at the young boy. "Miss Hawkeye, something is wrong with Ed..." He said to her in a serious tone as he watched Ed stomp off.

"Is he,...wet?" Riza asked. "He is,...uh oh,..." she laughed slightly thinking his young female friend might've been responsible for the now drenched Elric.

Winrey spotted Ed and ran up to where he was nearly running into Riza and Hughes. She grabbed his arm and noticed drenched he really was. "Ed,I am sorry about the milk, you just made me so angry!"

"Guess I was right," Riza said under her breath. A vicious stab of pain from the still roaring headache nearly made her double over. That damn pain pill isn't working,...Arg! But through the pain she remembered her faithful mutt. She put her 'I give nothing away' mask on to fight the pain and asked Elric, "Edward, where's Hayate?!"

Ed looked at Winrey, he had managed to calm down a little and for her to apologize helped a little. Ed heard Riza and turned to her, "He is still with Mr. Tucker, Winrey and I were just going to get some more..." he paused a moment and cringed, "more milk..." he finally finished. "I will return him after dinner..." he said to her standing tall.

"Thank you, Edward, for watching him, but, are you sure it was safe to leave him with a man like the Sewing Life alchemist?" she asked pushing the pain even farther to the back of her mind. She knew she had to get home fast. This migraine was going to be her undoing if she didn't lie down soon.

Winrey walked along Ed side. Appoligizing made her feel a tiny bit better but she was still uneasy since Ed hadn't responded to her apology. "Ed, do you understand why I got angry with you?"

Ed glanced over at Winrey, "you got mad because I don't like milk?" He asked densly. He looked back to Riza, "Al is still with them, so I am not too worried about him 1st Lt." He smiled nervously. He turned to Winrey, "Let's leave these two to their business now..." He said to Winrey as he began walking off.

"Thank you, Edward. I'm sure he's fine then," she turned to the Lt. Colonel next. "Lt. Colonel, I'll be alright on my own, but I really do need to be getting home now. I'll see you at the office tomorrow morning." With that she walked quickly past Hughes.

Hughes nodded and showed his respect to Riza as she walked by. He turned to Ed, "Well, since she isn't feeling well, how would you two like to babysit Elicia?" He asked the two young teens.
ED
Ed sweatdropped, "No, I really need to get back to Tucker's sir. I'll see you tomorrow!" He said as he dashed off back to the house. Leaving Winrey alone.

"Sorry Lt. Colonel Hughes." Then Winrey ran to catch with Ed. when she caught up with him she stopped. "Ed wait. I want to explain why I was angry at you before we get to the house. It wasn't that you hated milk that got me upset but it was the way you acted. I made that stew for you and Al as something special. A piece of Risembol.
But the way you reacted about it and when asked you to just help me. It hurt and made me angered, thats why I poured the milk on your head." She looked Ed in the eye waiting to see how he would respond, hoping he would understand.

Ed stopped and looked at Winrey, "I didn't mean to hurt you...I just, I mean I love that stew...but I just try not to think there is milk in it. That's all...so I'm sorry, ok?" He asked trying to sound as nice as he could. He hated seeing her upset like this. He wanted nothing more then to have his nearest and dearest friend (other then his brother) not be angry with him.

Winrey felt all the tension release as Ed apologized to her. " I understand,Ed and I forgive you. Now lets head back to the house and eat. I sure hope the stew didn't burn otherwise we may not have any at all to eat." She smiled at him with a little playful wink.
