---Character Information---
1.) Character Name -- Riza Hawkeye
2.) Character Bio -- A First Lieutenant in the Amestris Military, and the aide/personal bodyguard to Colonel Roy Mustang. She's an expert sniper [nicknamed the Hawk's Eye] who's got a strict no-funny-business attitude that could move any soldier. Also, she has a distinctive voice of reason that is largely unparalleled.
3.) Relationships with people --
To Roy Mustang - His subordinate and long-standing friend [or close acquaintance, if you prefer]. She's his aide and bodyguard, and has sworn to "protect his back". She lives up to the promise well.
To the rest of Mustang's group -- Really, she acts like a mother; reinforcing that they get their work done, and scolding them when she feels it's necessary. Definintely a portion of the glue that holds Roy and his subordinates together.
To Black Hayate -- A strict, oftentimes frightening, but otherwise strong and respected master/mother. After all, a well-trained dog is a happy dog; and nowhere will you find a canine who's better-trained than he.
To the Elric brothers -- She has a polite, maternal sort of relationship with Ed and Al. It's professional, but at times it seems to run a little deeper than that. She understands and respects that they need their independence, but still recognizes them as the children that they really are.
To Winry Rockbell -- Although they rarely interact properly in the series, there's definitely something between them; a certain respect and admiration that each one has for the other, no matter how minor or irrelevant it may seem.
4.) Likes -- Guns, working, protecting Roy, Black Hayate
5.) Dislikes -- The laziness of others, disorder, killing
6.) History of the character -- The earliest documentations from the series concerning Riza are when she was a teenager living in her father's home; he was coincidentally the man who taught alchemy to Roy Mustang, and it was then that she met him. Later, when he came back to see his old teacher, he died. Roy left not long after with his aspirations to join the military and, once Riza revealed the secrets of flame alchemy to him, to become a state alchemist. They meet again in Ishval; Riza had become a prized sniper for the military. After the extermination, she chose to accept the position of Roy's aide, to "protect his back" until he reached his goal of becoming fuhrer. Since then, she's proved a good pick for the job, a woman who seems nearly perfect for the military life. In the least, she's certainly got the work ethic and the aim for the line of work.
---Your Info---
1.) Why do you want to be this character?
She's my second-favorite character in the series. Her steadfast approaches and voice of reason proves to be a solid support to the series that I suppose I admire in a character. Hard to explain, but I luff her! xD
2.) How far are you into the Anime?
I've watched the entire first series and the movie, and I watch the new episodes of Brotherhood as they come out every week.
3.) How far are you into the Manga?
I read it online, and am up-to-date.

Hidden soundly atop a bell tower, she was invisible. A mere shadow playing across the night, making no sound apart from the occasional reload and rhythmic click of the rifle in her hands. As well as the gunshots that rang through the warm dusk. Granted, she was not alone -- not here. A few buildings to her left another sniper was posted, and the case was the same several more buildings to her right. In the distance, explosions went off. And between those, there were always the screams.
Ah, yes... The screams. They were shrill, demonic sounds to behold; following your every step and haunting your dreams until insomnia took hold. Even the sleeping pills ceased to work after awhile. When she'd first been shipped here, not yet even having graduated from the military academy, it had been battlefield. Now, it was a execution ground. And no dark-skinned red-eyed individual was to be spared.
This was Ishval.
With a low sigh, the blond-haired woman pulled back from the small window she'd propped the barrel of her rifle upon, and and leaned against the wall to reload. The bullets clattered softly in her hands as she pulled them from a pouch about her waist. Once, they'd held a pride for her -- the top of her class, she was indeed a prized sniper! -- but now they were merely death in a small package. Nevertheless, she spilled them into her weapon, and finished quickly. It was the only break she'd receive for the next three hours of her shift.
Repositioning herself at the window, tan hood pulled loosely over her head, Riza Hawkeye peered out at the ground below her. Billowing clouds of smoke and dust, collecting from the fires not four blocks away, made it nearly impossible to see an enemy. It was just possible to see a bobbing head dark through the gritty fog. But that was all the target she needed. For a few long minutes, there was no sound apart from her own soft breathing and the crackling of destruction in the distance. Eventually, though, someone would come.
And they did. A ragged head of hair appeared just in sight and, lucky -- or unlucky -- for her, just in range. The woman was jittery, constantly looking over her shoulder as she shuffled clumsily over the ravaged cobblestone beneath her feet. Why not? Soldiers were everywhere in this town. As she made her way through the smoke, a rough voice called out just above the background noise. It was hard to make out, and Riza didn't bother to try as she aimed. It was no business of hers, after all.
One hazel eye peered carefully into the scope atop her rifle, soundlessly tweaking it's position until the target was pinpointed in the dead-center. Her finger pressed lightly the the trigger, preparing... And then the woman called out again, and her words came clearer as she'd grown closer to the bell tower. She was calling out to her son, in a voice husky from the dust and hoarse with desperation. A mother without hope... Knowing that like her neighbors, her child was sure to be far from her now.
But there was no time to think about that. Blinking away all rationality, the Hawk's Eye pulled the trigger.
Bang.
It was her twenty-seventh crime that night.
