James' New Arm- Automail Style

Winrey was a crutch for James on the way to her house in Risembool. She'd talke to him a little, but mainly focused on gettin there, hoping that Ed's automail wasn't in too bad of a shape. When they got there she set him down in a kitchen chair, going to get what would've been Ed's new automail. She decided it would fit James better anyway. She came back in and got to work on creating what would be James' new arm. She held various tools in her mouth during different tims, so she couldn't really talk. She just listened to James as she worked. It seemed only minutes had gone by when she was done, though by the sunset you could tell it had been alot longer than that. Winrey stepped back. "Alright, why don't you try it out?" she said, grinning at her work.

*James was sitting in one of the kitchen chairs as Winry worked on his arms at some times it hurt very badly and at some times he didn't feel a thing. All he could here were wrenches and screws being put into place. He could also here dogs barking and birds chirping. Finally after what seemed like minutes Winry was finished it had really been hours. She asked him to get up and try it out so he did. He felt good, it felt like he had a brand new limb.* "Thanks Winry, sure i'll try it out." *James went out to the front of Winrys house, slapped his hands together and hit the ground. The ground turned to solid ice and it looked like winter had hit Risembool* "Wold you like to go ice skating, Winry?" *He said making two pairs of ice skates appear.* "By the way they call me the Ice Alchemist. And this Automail works great, you really are a Master Automail maker." *He said laughing a bit, he kissed her on the cheeks. Sliding out onto the ice with his skates laughing*

Winrey blushed when he kissed her on the cheeks. She put the skates on and stood on the ice warily. "Thanks. I take pride in my work." she said, trying to move forward, but fell back onto her bottom. "Ow!" she yelled and got up. "I guess it's been awhile since I've been ice skating." she said, laughing a bit at herself.

*James watched Winry blushed her cheeks turned bright pink, she was so cute. He was thinking of asking her out on a date. He also seen her fall, he skated over to her and offered his arm so that she wouldn't fall again.* "Yeah i guess so, and yeah I can tell you take pride in your work this Automail is awesome. So I was thinking you and could go out on a date some time, maybe we could go to Central and have dinner and then to an Automail shop where i'm sure you'd be in heaven. So how long have you known the Elric brothers. Ed, Al and I are so close we might as well all be brothers."

"Oh, I've known them since I was just a tot." Winrey said with a huge smile as she remembered, and took his arm to help steady herself. "I'd like that. I've needed to get out more." she said, accepting his offer for a date. "I mean, it's the least you could do."

*James smiled widly and laughed loudly* "You've known them since you were just a tot, seems like Ed never got any taller since he was a tot huh, don't tell him I said that or he'll kill me. And that sounds great, how about we leave tonight. We could pack our things and go. Cause the sooner we get to Central the better. But of course you'll have to tell your parents your leaving, I wouldn't want to make them mad." *James said as he continued to skate around with Winry*

Winrey gasped as he said the word. Parents. Her free hand went to the clothing above her heart and she gripped them. "My parents. . . Are dead." she said sadly, letting him lead her, not moving her feet anymore.

*James stopped dead in his tracks a feeling of remorse came over him and he turned around and skated toward Winry quickly embracing her in his arms. He felt bad that he had said. He stroked her back and patted it softly* "I'm so sorry Winry I had no idea that your parents had dies, i'm so so sorry." *He still held her in embrace* "Should we get ready to go then?" *He kissed her forehead hoping it would make things better*

Winrey nodded. "Yeah, it was awhile back." she said. "I suppose we should." she said, forcing a small smile.

*James still felt remorse for what he had said and he knew now he was going to buy the best gift in the world for Winry and it could be what ever she wanted. He was glad to see her smile a bit but could tell she was sad.* "Ok then thats what we'll do, i'm going to take you on a shopping spree to an Automail shop, because I know how much you love Automail." *He said walking back to the house with her with his arm wrapped around her shoulders. They arrived at the house and James grabbed his bag and put his things in it. Attaching his State Alchemists watch to his pants he waited for Winry to gather her things.*

Winrey packed a few things. Clothing, a wrench, her toothbrush and toothpaste, a few nuts and bolts, her hairbrush, some oi. Basically the essencials, and stuff to keep James' automail in tip top shape. She roled her suitcase out of the house and let it bounce against the steps. "To the train station then?" she asked with a toothy grin.

*James smiled he put one hand on the suitcase and one arm around Winry* "Ok then lets go to Central.And to the train station." *He exclaimed in a sarcastic funny voice. Together he and Winry walked off into the sunset heading for the train station.*
