Moderation Rules

This is a list of rule that apply to how the moderators should act when any of the board rules are broken.

1. On the first offense (reported by a player or found by a moderator) you will be nicely and civily told how you are wrong. We'd appreciate it if you didn't argue too much, but of course if you feel you've been wronged its fine.

2. Every offense thereafter, will be treated roughly, and you're warning level will be raised by 5%, for each offense. This means, that if you're warning level is already at 5%, an extra 5% on top of the 5% for the new offense will be added, making it a total of 10%. The next offense, 15% will be added, and the next one 20%, and so on until you're warning level is 100%, at which point, you will have one last chance. If you do not make another offense for a month, you're warning level will be reduced by 50%. If after another month, you are still offense free, you're warning level will be reset to 0%.

3. If members will not respect the authority or continue to argue when they've been clearly told why they are in the wrong, or if they try to go around to another moderator when they are being reprimanded by one already, they will be treated as if they have committed an offense, as this is not what they should be doing. other moderators should not be contacted if you think you're being bullied by another moderator, or if you think a moderator is being unfair, in that situation, you should contact AG the Admin, as she has the ultimate authority around here.

Okay, there is something else that needs to be said. On this site there is a chain of command, which follows as such:

AG: This is the Big Kahuna, the Big Cheese, and monarch of this website. AG is very kind and usually dictates her will to us as her deacons. But her will is law! There should be no "if"s "and"s or "but"s concerning her answers.

Global Mods: These are AG's right hand men/ladies and they carry a lot of power and responsibility. As such they will probably dictate tasks to the lesser mods of the site, becuase they are usually very BUSY!

Mods: These are the Workforce of the site. These are your link to the Global Mods and to AG. Its true that you can PM the Global Mods and AG if you have a problem, but the odds are that its just going to be passed down to the Mods. In the mean time it could take up to two weeks to get an answer to your problem. It will save you lots of time waiting if you Pm a regular Mod FIRST. If we see that your problem is out of our hands we will direct it to its proper authority.


I would like say that this kind of thing doesn't happen, but recently I was duped into going around a Global Mod. This caused a lot of confusion and pretty much destroyed the cohesion of a thread. This kind of thing IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. There is chain of command, please use it. The issue I have noted is taken care of and I would like to petition that this type of offense come with a fifty percent (50%) warning level.

The warning system I just put in place, makes it easier to keep count of how many offenses a person has committed, because their warning level is raised according to what their warning level is currently at. Going right to a 50% warning level can cause misunderstandings in this area. I think we should stick with what I put in personally, but that depends on what the other staff think.

I like all of this...I will have to reinstate warning levels then. I don't have them showing. I will do that now
