Name: State Alchemist Major Luka Han

Personality: Growing up with six brothers has turned Luka into a real tomboy. She is not above punching an idiot to resolve a conflict, loves going out for a drink with friends after a hard day’s work, hates makeup because it feels heavy and uncomfortable on her skin, and isn’t afraid to get dirty. She’s also fond of making inappropriate jokes, though will refrain from making them around superiors lest they get her in trouble.
However, don’t call her unfeminine; she will try to crack open your skull if you question her femininity. She is fond of flowers, and her love of cats and dogs rivals that of Alphonse and Fuery. Her secret shame is that after lights out, she reads romance novels and manga under her covers with a flashlight. Her favourite novel is a romance titled “Romeo and Cinderella.”
Despite her somewhat violent tendencies, she hates death and avoids killing when possible. She is quite good at keeping her cool in battle, so long as her opponent doesn’t call her manly.
Physical Description: Being half Xingese, she has the standard asian characteristics of a xingese girl; dark hair, dark eyes, pale skin and a slim figure. When she is wearing a sleeveless top, a bluebird is tattooed on her left arm, which she got because it looked cool. She used to have long hair down to her waist, but when she joined the army she had it cut short to avoid it getting in the way of her vision.
An interesting fact about Luka is that despite being a state alchemist, even though she is violent when angry, she is physically quite weak, and has lousy staminia. She knows a few basic fighting moves, but if she gets into a physical fight she doesn’t last very long. She also can’t run far distances. She attributes this to anemia, but really she just can’t be bothered exercising regularly.
In uniform, she wears the standard military jacket, and a dark blue miniskirt with a long tail at the back over black tights. In casual wear, she usually just wears simple casual clothing such as pants and a blouse, but occasionally will wear a qipao.
History: The only daughter of an Amestrian woman and a Xingese immigrant, Luka is the second youngest of six. She lived in a small farming town where her father ran a small medical practice and her mother worked as his nurse in between caring for the children. She was an excitable child, who often played with her brothers, but being boys they sometimes made girl-germ remarks, which made her angry. One day when her brothers went down to a nearby river to go fishing, they teased her and said she couldn’t come because girls were weak. She challenged them to a fight, and lost. When they laughed at her for losing, she yelled she would grow up and become a state alchemist (the toughest thing she could think of at the time) and come back and kick their butts. Being stubborn, she then dedicated herself to the practice of alchemy and alkahestry. She left home when she was sixteen to go to Central to further her study, and shortly after her eighteenth birthday she took her state alchemist exam and got her license. As soon as she get’s free time, she plans on tracking each and every one of her brothers down and beating them until they agree she is the stronger sibling.
Other: Besides the universal alchemy all alchemists learn, Luka also knows basic alkahestry, taught by her father who is a doctor.
Her signature Transmutation is where she got her State title. She transmutes the most suitable surface near the enemy, and it melds up and around the enemy, trapping them in an iron maiden. She's more skilled transmuting metals like iron and steel, the most common material on earth, but is perfectly decent using other materials.
Whether the trap has spikes on the inside like the classic torture device, or it is smooth on the inside to act as a defensive jail cell all depends on the desperateness of the situation, and if the opponent was ordered to be killed by her superior officers. At the moment, she can only create one iron maiden at a time, albeit quickly, but she hopes to one day be able to create several at once so she is at a better advantage on the battle field.
--SAMPLE ROLEPLAY--
Luka crouched low beneath the shattered windows, keeping her eyes and ears open for any movement or unusual sound amongst the rubble. The entire area was in shambles thanks to Scar. She’d taken cover for now amongst the wreckage, but it was a miracle she’d gotten away. Scar was fast, so she had to find him before he found her. She had no idea when and if backup was coming, since she had no radio and all the townspeople had quickly fled.
The dark eyed girl took a deep calming breath and moved, crawling underneath the row of windows and being careful not to step on any debris, until she managed to spot a crack in the wall. She placed her face close to crack and peeped through, hoping to god she would spot the man out to murder her, but at the same time fearful of seeing him. If she used her gun, she might miss or hit a non-lethal point, but if she used her alchemy, he might notice and dodge it again. The chances of either working were low, and if either failed, her position would be given away.

Yup! She has plenty! She gets angry over silly things, hates exercise, is physically weak, and since she doesn’t want to be called either girly or manly, she also often contradicts herself.

Nope, she’s 100% human!

Luka might get a few crushes on goodlooking men from time to time, as us women do, but i don’t think she’s likely to ever act on those crushes. She hates being called girly, but deep down she knows men tend to lean towards girls like that, and she’d never change herself into something she hates for a man.
4. An OC cannot be related to a canon character.
Nope again! Her father is related to the Han Clan, so she’s not even slightly related to Mei or Ling, and her mother has never been anywhere near any of the Amestrian characters.

I’ve never even HEARD of the fma video games. There’s videogames? O.O
6. Your OC must use an array to perform alchemy, but feel free to be creative.

No gate, like most normal state alchemists she can draw a number of arrays, but has her signature iron maiden array sewn into her gloves. Besides, she’s never had anyone close to her die XD no need to perform human transmutation at all.
7. You may play a canon in addition to your OC (people who are already playing canons must keep their current character as a temp or a second permanent character. If you fail to play that character then your OC will be taken away.)
I play Jean Havoc, and i luuuuurve him and playing him so i won’t be forgetting him soon. Plus Luka is in the military so they’ll probably end up interacting more than a few times.

She’s more of a defensive alchemist then an offensive alchemist, so her main weapon is encasing her opponents in a maiden quick enough to stop them. It’s not all powerful of course, someone as fast as Scar or Armstrong could escape in time easily if they noticed what she was doing. The opponent could break out if they strong enough as well.
10. Your character may have arrays tattooed on their body, but it may only be on one part of the body (i.e. hands, feet, one arm, one leg, etc.)
Nah, nothing like that. Just a little bluebird on her shoulder :3
11. All alchemy powers must be original. No copying canon character powers (e.g. only Scar can blow people's brains up and only Kimblee can turn people into bombs)
To date, i haven’t noticed anything like the iron maiden in the anime or manga. I saw Alphonse trap a guy in a wall, but Luka doesn’t have to be that close, she just has to have a large enough surface and she can do long range maidens as well as short range.
12. The military may have swords. However, when on duty, they may not use their swords. They must use military weaponry.
She carries a military-issued handgun, but isn’t keen on using it because the recoil hurts her arm.
13. Alchemy MUST be with a physical element and must fit within alchemy laws. (I didn't think I had to put this since everyone has seen the show and it's a rule of the show)
She needs a physical surface to transmute iron maidens, you can't crush people with nothing =D

Anyway, i hope this is acceptable and if there are any problems, just let me know ^^ Don’t wait till i finish drawing the picture to approve me, i’m mostly just drawing it for myself so i don’t forget what she looks like, hehe. I rp better when i have a good clear picture of my character in my head.
