The look of distrust still on her face Martel asked, "So why are you here?". She wanted to know, so she could be certain whether to even think of trusting him.

A puzzled look stretched across Kimblee's face. "I'm not sure, myself." He looked back toward Martel again. "There aren't many people who leave the title of state alchemist behind, fewer still living..." although in the back of his mind, Kimblee knew that his leave was anything BUT voluntarily. "Perhaps this is why?"

"I doubt it" she hissed. "You seemed to really enjoy that". She looked at the inside of the cage, pointedly at where Kimblees cellmates had been.

Holding back a demonic grin, he coldly asks, "Does it matter? They were probably just more state alchemists, no?" Kimblee was apparently trying to divert Martel's hatred to the charred corpses instead of himself.

Martel could tell what he was trying to do. It wasn't going to work. "And how do I know you won't try to do that to any of us?"

"What reason do I have?" Kimblee took a daring choice in trying his next movement, which involved staring the cobra in her eyes and trying to lay his fingers on her chin. "After all, if I really wanted to completely destroy this beautiful face, wouldn't I have tried to by now?"

Martel flinched at the movement. She jumped to the other side of Greed and gave Kimblee a glare. "Believe me...he's the only reason I'm even here right now" she said, glancing at Greed. "Also...flattery won't get someone like you far with me" she hissed to him, "So stop your lies"

"Of course." For a second, his grin disappeared. Zolf wouldn't had tried such a move normally. He simply was trying to win over the trust of his allies, so that if he should need to betray them, he would have no problems slipping something into their drinks or the like. His grin returned, "Someone like me... heh heh heh." He'd do well to remember that.

Wrath followed Daunte to the underground city. Dante was far from surprised when Wrath confirmed her suspicions. She didn't have time to waste on being surprised, anyway - there were important things to be done. Though she was positive that she still had the upper hand, she recognized that recent developments could very well throw a wrench into her plans. The old hag reviewed the problems in her mind with great haste, knowing that time was of the essence. If Greed did in fact manage to escape his prison, that would prove to be a minor thorn in her side. She reminded herself that he probably, no definitely wouldn't align himself with Lust or the Elrics. Helping people would be... so very unselfish. Should the rebellious fool try fighting against her, she'd unleash several of her sins on him and crush him like the bug he is. Problem solved. Lust wouldn't be a problem, she assured herself. Like Greed, she had to be nipped before she could do any severe damage to her plans. All she had to do was apprehend and seal, or possibly kill her before she could reveal any information to the Elrics. The Elrics... "This is going to be a risky move, Wrath, but it's necessary. We need to take our leave and take shelter in the Underground City. Its highly probable that there is an... enemy loose in the Lab at present, so it is essential that we move quickly," she said, rising from the desk and heading over to the door. Although staying in the office would probably be the safer option, it would cost her too much precious, precious time. After a moment of fumbling with the lock in her haste, she opened the door and stepped outside, then headed off into the dark labyrinth that was Laboratory Five. She didn't even glance over to see if Wrath was following her, too caught up in trying to remember the best exit route. As she surreptitiously maneuvered through the laboratory to the nearest exit, Dante returned to her thought about the Elric Brothers... Yes, she knew what she would do. Everything was coming together perfectly. Lust and Greed would both be neutralized, and the Philosopher's Stone would soon be in her hands. -exit Dante-
Um so where are we going?

((To the Underground City - the opera house, to be precise. There's a new thread for it on the Homunculus Only board.))

Martel glared at Kimblee, thinking about how lucky he was that all she could do was stretch. If she had her knives, she would've tried to stab him by now.

Kimblee countered Martel's glare with a light-hearted grin. "Are you always this distrusting of everyone?"

GREEDO
*Now stop! This discussion ends right here!* said Greedo with such a tone in voice that allowed no compromises. *Stop squabling like a band of children! If were together in this...* He turned to Kimbley. *You, alchemist, I do not care about your past, the only thing that matters is that you are skilled. A person I've been looking for. What is your name? You can make up one, the only reason why I'm asking is, that I want to know how I should call you.*

Kimblee turned to Greed suddenly, speaking in the same calm, cool tone."My name is Kimblee, Zolf J. Kimblee, the Crimson Alchemist." His eyes shifted to Martel, then back to greed. "And you're absolutely right. Between a small group such as ours, trust..." as he gazed over to Martel again, "is our most important asset."

GREEDO
*At least you have the right idea,* he sneered at him. Then he turned to the chimera female. *Martel... I hope you have no objections?*

Martel looked at Greed and her expression softened slightly. "No, Greed." she said, making sure not to look Kimblee in the eye. But as she spoke, she couldn't deny the fact that the look on Kimblee's face, as she looked at him from the corner of her eye, made her wish she could spit venom. A look of innocence that clearly hid wicked intentions. "Just as long as he doesn't touch me" she said softly to Greed.

GREEDO
*Then that is solved. You two, just make sure you don't kill each other. And I will tolerate no provokations, Martel! And Kimbley, that goes for you aswell. Do not touch her!* He turned his back at them, looking into the shadows. Dante has fled away, he missed her only by inches. Fine then, he will follow the original plan. Aliies, hideout, information. He headed back to the lab, where Tucker was loading his darling Nina.

Martel nodded to herself at Greed's orders. Then she shivered slightly. Yes, this room was colder than the corridors. "Damn it" she hissed under her breath.
After a moment, she turned to see Greed had left. She started to follow him, then said to Kimblee, without facing him, "You better come with us". She then began to follow Greed once again.

Kimblee slowly followed behind the other two, his psychopathic smirk fading away. Regardless of whether or not Martel OR Greed trusted him, his first order of business would be to get rid of Dante, in vengeance of what she did to him. After that, he didn't quite know what to do, but something would pop up sooner or later, he was sure.

Now near Greed once again, Martel asked him, "Any idea when we'll be out of here?" She was never a patient woman, and she doubted she ever would be.
