Well? Post it here!
I know that last year in Chemistry we had to watch a video on alchemy, and it talked about a man named who was able to create artifical humans called homunculi.

Well, part of the reason why I enjoy the anime was because of its applications to real science. I rarely enjoy series that can pull energy from nowhere, claiming to be aided by gods, or that it's a part of their body. For us, matter cannot be created or destroyed, just as the first law of alchemy states that to gain something, you must loose something of equal value in return. I guess it helps me to understand what is happening, or how they can pull of some ridiculous gig. Although the word alchemy is associated with magic, it still proves that there is a limit to it's powers (Sorry any Naruto fans, but I don't like that show, I just don't get how someone can have the power to destroy a village of people, and then bring them all back to life, without using any material).
I guess it's kind of ironic, but like our rule of science, matter cannot be created or destroyed, the law of alchemy is flawed. Some things can be created with little sacrifice, or in their case, an unfair trade. Here in our world, black holes often consume matter, it is assumed that they convert the matter into a different substance, or a form of energy. However, they haven't been able to prove it (Spare tests from the smaller black holes that periodically release energy). Another instance which matter is destroyed would be the atomic bomb, in which the matter is turned to energy, then released into the atmosphere, and eventually dissipates, therefore, destroying the original ingredients.
Still, I'm no expert, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Just more rambling from a strange girl who felt the need to share. Anyone else have something to say?

I like both imagenary and scientific based things. As long as it's fictiom im good. I do like how it actually does relate to the science laws of our world. Being a lover of science myself i find it very interesting.
