(Ok lets try again. I hope it works this time)
Picture:
Name: May Cassiopeia
Age: 14
Gender: female
Weight: 80lbs
Height: 4ft 10in
Hair: Shinny raven colored black hair. It goes down to her back. She normally lets it down.
Eyes: Emerald green
Personality: A happy kind and optimistic girl. She is also very clever, hyper and a tad bit loud. When she mad though it’s like she’s another person entirely. She can normally keep herself under control but when people make fun of her height, family, or friends. She isn’t very emotional but sometime she’ll cry in the most intense moments. She will strongly support her beliefs and is offended when someone contradicts her. She will do anything for people she cares about. She has a strong phobia of wasps.
Physical Description: Short for her age. Not gorgeous but pretty. Many people say she’s cute (not like attractive cute, but like Awww cute). He black hair is usually shiny and let down. When she has to do some extreme fighting/training she put her hair up. That’s when you know it’s starting to get challenging for her. Her eyes are normally bright and sparkling because she is a very happy child. Only those closest to her have ever seen her cry. Her skin is fair. Her nails are always chipped or dirty. When she is in nature she doesn’t wear shoes so her feet are quite dirty. She normally wears a white button up shirt with a tan knee length skirt and a trench coat. When she is in cities she wears black boots and golden gloves. She also wears a golden chain with an emerald hanging off (given to her by her best friend).
History: Her life was average, nothing more than dullness and quintessence. She lived in a small town called Greenfield with her mother, Gwen and her brother, Oliver. May started learning basic earth alchemy as a time passer. It was nothing special just moving and changing dirt into different shapes. Then Holden Owsley came. He was a very powerful alchemist. Every day she would sneak into where he would train, near a river, and hide behind the same oak. Eventually he looked over at the tree and said, “I know your there. Why don’t you come out of hiding and maybe I could teach you a few things”. She nearly lept from her hiding spot in an attempt to meet his gaze. He smiled at her and said, “Now how old are you?” She giggled and said, “I’m 10.” He smiled then clapped his hands and hit the water. Suddenly the spot turned into ice. He said, “Do you want to learn how?” May nodded briskly. For the next 2 years she studied under Holden while he was to stay in Greenfield. Then he had to leave for the next town. She never knew exactly why he left but she knew he was much loved by her and her family. She missed him dearly. For 2 long years her life went back to normal. She continued to practice but nothing exiting really happened. Then during the middle of the night she awoke to find she was surrounded by flames. She ran outside with her mother and brother. As they got out they were imideatly attacked by strange men. They were put in the cells of the county jail, which the men had seized, and were kept in there late into the night. May still hadn’t figured out how to transmute solid walls as she still hadn’t had much training. She cried. She felt so helpless and couldn’t stand it. Her mother could only comfort her but she could do nothing to console her. She ran to the wall and slammed her body into it. In a last resort she etched a transmutation circle in the dust and hit the wall. It opened into a portal and the three of them escaped into the night. Her brother wailed and her mother told her the two of them couldn’t go on anymore but to leave. She couldn’t leave her family and she said not to worry that she would help them. Before she could finish her last sentence the bandits caught up with her. Her mother was grabbed by her legs and they wouldn’t let her move. May froze in shock and didn’t know what to do. In a split second her mother and brother were dead. She screamed and tried to run but her leg was sliced off. She screamed louder until she was whisked up by an unknown person. She looked up and saw it was Holden. She smiled but then immediately passed out. Later she woke up in a hospital bed. Her leg was gone and in its place was a metal leg. As she walked down the stairs she met an old woman named Pinako. She learned from Pinako that Holden had brought her to Pinako’s house. Then he left to continue what he was doing. He paid for a full auto-mail surgery for her. They did it while she was sleeping. She was grateful. Then she met Pinako’s grandchild Winry. They quickly became friends. Winry showed May her tinkering skills and May showed Winry her artistic skills. Then one day Winry got a letter from Ed. May asked who Ed was and Winry said he was a state alchemist. May then insisted on going to see him so she packed her stuff and got tickets for the train the next day.
Alchemic power: She can transmute water. She can freeze water and change it into shapes and move it. She can also transmute dirt like substances in a similar way. Her dream is to learn how to transmute plants and she has been experimenting with them for a while. Her main form of transmutation is transmuting organic minerals and dead wood. example changing some amber and wood into a wodden sword!
Fighting style: Specialized in different kinds of hand to hand combat. She is the most skilled in sword fighting and archery.
Notes for Monitors: I asked Winry if I could use her in this so I hope it’s alright. My character is as short as Ed but it’s not to be like Ed so once I start rping you’ll see how she’s different.
--SAMPLE ROLEPLAY--
May looked into the brown eyes of the man kneeling next to her, who she knew as Holden. He gave a slight nod of approval and clapped his hands. She did the same and they both hit their hands on the surface of the lake. It began to sprout up frozen water spouts in a circle. Then inside the circle the water formed ripples in a beautiful pattern then froze over immediately. “Ready?” “Ready.” They clapped their hands then hit the water once more. May’s black hair whipped back with the force of the wind. She looked over at Holden. His brown hair was whipping around his face also. She closed her eyes then looked up. In the middle of the lake was a beautiful ice fountain. It was an otter lying on its back on top of a wave. Out of its tail came a stream of water. “It’s beautiful!” May exclaimed as she marveled at her work. “Yeah,” Holden said, “Go show your mother.” She ran through the forest where her house was and dashed in the door. “Mom! Mom! Come see what Holden and I made!” She yelled and tugged on her mothers arm. “Alright, alright I’m coming,” She said to May. When they reached the lake Holden was standing there leaning on a tree. May’s mother gasped in awe. “Wow that’s amazing!” she said to the two. May just smiled. Holden looked at May and said, “Well It looks like I’ve trained you well in the years I’ve been here. I have something to tell you.” “What?” she said. “It is time that I left. I have to travel to another village. I have enjoyed the time weve spent together and maybe ill see you again someday,” He said to her. May was crushed. She helped him get his stuff and he set off to leave. The last image she saw of him was him walking away in the sunset but that was quickly clouded up by her tears.
