Archer and Private Sheska pulled up to the train station. The weather was a bit chilly, so the windows had been rolled up. And God, the smell! He kept a handkerchief to his nose the whole way through the ride. Who cared if she was embarrassed? She aught to be..climbing into garbage cans, indeed!
"Well, we're here now. Shake a leg, Private or we'll miss the next train as well." He grabbed his suitcases and left Sheska to carry her own.

(( XD lol Very interesting and unique title ^^ ))
"Yes sir." Sheska mumbled off in command.
She hung her head even lower, as she grabbed for her belongings, which she felt even more humiliated then ever now, when seeing Archer carrying around that handkerchief.
"This can't get anymore humiliating then it is..Or then again...?" She stated, knowing Archer could careless.

Archer walked up to the ticket booth, followed by Sheska. He'd hoped she would just sit down somewhere. 'Oh dear God, what if someone thought she was his wife?' he thought, dismayed.
"Yes," he asked, "when is the next train to Lior?"
"Next train departs in 45 minutes" answered the seller.
"Give me two. One way for now. I have no idea when I'll be returning." Archer said.
He paid for the tickets and walked over to the benches to sit and wait. "45 minutes" he said to Sheska. "At least they had some left. I ought to dock your pay for that little mishap of yours." he mumbled.

Sheska, as she took a seat a few distances away from Archer on the bench (to restrain somewhat of the smell XD ), had heard what he said.
"Oh no, please sir don't do that." She pleaded, becoming a bit worried. "I'm really sorry, it won't happen again. Honest."
She knew she needed every ounce of that money, really considering she had to pay for all her mother's bills.

::sigh:: "Very well then," he replied, "prove your worth on this trip and we can consider the manner closed."
They sat on the hard wooden seats and waited, Archer frequently checking his watch. 'Hmm. Trade one hard seat for another...' he thought to himself, not looking forward to the ride.
Some time later, a train whistle blew, followed by the ringing bell. Archer covered his ears at the noise and grimaced. "Ok, it's here, lets board." he said. He handed his suitcases to the porter and climbed the steps. He took a seat near the front of the train car and pulled out a book to read.

Sheska mentally gave in a somewhat sigh of relief, when Archer dismiss the punishment, at least now she was able to get another chance to redeem herself.
Nonetheless, once the train came, she followed the procedure of giving the porter the luggage, and also in process keeping one of a rather smaller luggage to carry with her to her seat.
She took a seat in her own row on the opposite side of Archer seat, which it also was kind of a few distances away from other passengers since with the smell still looming all about. It was even worst enough that she was traveling around with someone like Archer...The guy afterall was not really a 'company' person. And beyond that she's been irking his nerves ever since this morning.
But even so, she felt she might as well hang in for the ride with this trip, she afterall still didn't really know what Archer's motives were for even going to Lior...
"...Well I can't question him again of why we're going, that would only make things more out of hand. I'll just have to stay quiet for now, and out of his way....I guess." Sheska said through her mind. She then goes through the smaller luggage that was now beside her, to pull out 5 books to read.
She made sure to be prepared that she had enough books to read for two weeks. Actually thinking about it, she already was missing the rest of her broad collection she had to leave at home.

Archer glanced over at Private Sheska and her books. Although she was a scatterbrain, he was fascinated by her ability to read and recall every word she lay eyes on. He thought it might prove..useful down the line for reasons of his own.
"What are you reading?" he asked in an attempt to be courteous. He actually hated long rides and reading got boring after awhile, so when he wasn't napping, he preferred conversation.

Sheska went stiff for a moment, when hearing Archer. She seemed almost hesitant to even answer, since it was a bit out of the ordinary that he would want to know. But maybe he was just curious, it after all was just a harmless question.
"Uh...it's a book on the dissimilarities of science and art, sir. " She replied in one statement, as if it being no importance. She didn't want to go in her reasons of actually why she was reading it, so she left that out.
(( Truth be told, I have no idea of what kind of books Sheska reads on her spare time, so that could have been a bad guess (lol) XD but even so, to me she looks like the type that would read debatable like topics XP ))

After noting her uncomfortable demeanor, he simply replied, "Oh, I see. Well..I hope you have plenty to keep you busy, the ride will be long."
He returned awkwardly to his own book. Archer was not really very sociable. Although he'd been raised in a family with money and knew all the rules of etiquette, he still had virtually no people skills, so his attempts at conversation were generally met with this manner of response from most people. He was a stranger in a strange land..no matter where he went. He only felt at home shouting orders on the battlefield
The porter came and collected their tickets and an attendant came and took orders. He ordered a brandy and added, "And whatever the private wants." pointing to Sheska.

"I'll just have a glass of water, thats it. Thank you." Sheska told to the attendant.
This train ride was indeed going to be a long one, and a very uncomfortable one at that. Sheska couldn't help but be this way around Archer, because all he ever did was mainly yell at her or give her orders. It never was a simple 'hello' or 'how are you were doing' given from him. It always was more like an interrogation...
"I never seem to get or do anything right...Maybe except file work to him. But everything else I try to do seems to make him furious." She said, within her mind thinking on it.
Conversation was definitely going to be limited on this ride, since Sheska really didn't have a clue of how to spark one up with him, without him actually backfiring on her.

Archer began to shift in his seat, uncomfortable. Why they had to make the seats purely out of wood and not cushion them was beyond him. This ride would take hours and hours! Finally, unable to help himself, he stretched out on the seat, and crossed on leg over the other. He placed his book over his eyes. 'Bollocks to proper behaviour' he thought silently. In a few moments, he began breathing deep and drifting off to sleep, with a quiet, polite sounding snore.
[Poor Archer! It must be hard being such a tight ass]

(( lol XP Indeed, I was feeling bad for him too. But I guess we can't blame him anyway, that's just how he is, he can't help himself XD ))
Sheska suddenly had stopped looking in her book, when she heard the slight mellow noise of slumbering near. She glanced over across from her to see that it was surprisingly Lt. Colonel Archer, and he was asleep?!
"Huh...?" Sheska uttered out lowly to herself.
The young woman had never seen this side of Archer before, he after all always carried around this proper expertise neat style. But seeing as the way he was now, had kind of threw that all off.
"I guess...maybe he really was tired. Or either that bored." She stated, as she continued staring at him curiously.
Now that she thought about it, ever since they boarded this train, he did seem rather a bit uncomfortable, which was another thing he rarely ever protrayed. It made her wonder what brought that about. Nonetheless she didn't want to bring attention to herself as if she was being nosey, so she looked away while still yet pondering over it.

[Archer: ¬_¬ I'm not a box..I don't have sides... XD]
Archer shifted on the hard seat, facing the chair back, book sliding off his head onto the floor. He began mumbling in his sleep...'mumble, mumble...goddamn Mustang....mumble...bastard....'
He suddenly sat upright in his seat, uniform rumpled and hair sticking up on top. He composed himself and smoothed his wrinkled pants and jacket and ran his hand over his head, smoothing his mussed hair. 'How undignified' he thought to himself, embarrassed.
He looked over at Private Sheska and saw she was looking at him rather strangely, but she turned away quickly. 'My God, what was I doing?' he wondered in horror. An attendant came by and he ordered some tea and a sandwich and pointed to Sheska and told the attendant to get her a sandwich as well. 'Heaven knows the girl wont eat anything unless I shove it in her face whether she's hungry or not.' he thought with irritation.
Apparently, Lior was still about 5 or six hours away. He wished he'd been able to sleep a bit longer.

(( XD ))
Sheska as the attendant was about to walk away, looked as if she wanted to say something, but then saw the irritated look Archer was giving off, and went quiet. She really wasn't hungry as of now but still again, that wouldn't really mean anything to him either, since he wouldn't tolerate it for answer.
Nonetheless, after already finishing a volume of the book, in a matter of seconds, she then grabs for another volume, while going through it silently. She tried to keep her mind focus, but was kind of giggling when seeing how abrupt Archer had look before, when he woken up.

He looked over at Private Sheska and he could tell that she was a tad upset that he took the liberty of ordering for her.
"I can't very well have my subordinates malnourished, can I? If you're going to be any use in your work, you need to eat regular meals." he scolded.
He heard her giggling and turned his head sharply her way, face blushing with embarrassment. "And just what exactly is it that you find so amusing?" he demanded.

Sheska went silent, while exclaiming. "Nothing sir, nothing at all."
She then goes with a slight 'ahem' of her throat as if trying to get the giggle away. Which hesitantly she glances over at Archer for a second, to noticed that he seemed to be quite embarassed. She figured he too must have noticed his awkward awakening earlier. But even so, she looked away not wanting to give out a laugh in front of his face, since it was quite amusing.

Archer finished his sandwich and tea and resumed reading his book. Glancing at his watch, he was relieved to see that the train ride would arrive in Lior in about an hour.
About an hour later, he gave a start when the train whistle blew. He'd been more involved in the book than he had thought. The train slowed to a stop, bell ringing. He grabbed his book and stood up. "Ok, private, let's go." he said and they disembarked and waited for the porter to unload the luggage.

Sheska lets out a sigh tiredly, and waited on patiently for the porter to unload the baggage. The train ride was drastically long, but also a bit amusing with the Lt. Colonel being embarassed.
The young woman never realized something like that would cause him to actually become flustered. Though still she didn't want to keep droning over it either, because then that would only cause her to giggle out more. At least, on a good note they were off the train, and she could stretch her legs, but unfotunately that smell also still kind of reeked over her from the little mishappening she had earlier...

Archer sighed and picked up his bags. It had been a long and tiring ride; he was tired, strung out, and needed a shower and a decent cup of tea. He walked into the train depot followed by the private and took a seat on yet another hard wooden bench. He rubbed his forehead, feeling a headache coming on.
He took out an envelope containing receipts for two rooms at a decent hotel and looked up the address in a phone booth nearby. He called to confirm the reservations and called a cab to take them to the Hotel. After waiting for the cab to arrive some minutes later, the bags were loaded and they got into the cab. He sunk down on the soft seat and sighed, relieved for something soft to sit on for a change.
[sheska, after you post, i'll look for a good thread to put us in at Lior]

(( Alrighty ))
Sheska remained quiet, as she was sitting across from Archer, while looking out the cab window. She stared blankly, while growing even more tired. She actually couldn't wait to get the hotel, so she could get some sort of a rest, and might add bath. She after all had gotten up much early to make sure everything was set before Archer came in.
"What a long tiring day..." She sighed within her mind, while letting out a yawn. Her gaze continued to look out the window, where she then tries to keep her eyes open.
