Arriving at the hospital, Scar dismounted his bike and stepped inside, and stepped up to the counter. "I'm looking for Yoki." he stated. By now, they should know who he was. He was always in here anymore.

The white-haired woman blinked up at Scar. "I believe he's in room....667" she told Scar, looking at her clipboard. "Seventh floor". Before sending him on his way, she handed Scar a heavy book. "Use the corners, they're sharp" she inscructed with a small smile.

"Kyle had a breakdown while he was over here," Dante explained to her. "He was checked into the hospital earlier today. Kevin and your parents went with him."

Scar blinked when she handed him the book, and nodded. "One of these days, Gretta, I'm going to get you a present." he replied before heading to the elevator. Damn, he WAS here to often. The receptionist knew just what he was going to do. Seven floors later, Scar found room 667. He stood there a moment before he walked inside. "Knock knock."

"That's odd. Kyle's had breakdowns every other week since that cocksucker Ricardo died. Never had to go to the hospital before" Terri muttered. She smiled when she saw her parents car drive over. Kevin jumped out of the backseat. He walked over to Martel in the kitchen. "Can I play with Poke?" he asked, frowning when he heard that she was taking a nap. The young boy went into the living room and adjusted the channel to watch Teen Titans.

Yoki nearly jumped out of his skin when he saw Scar walk into his room. Realizing that he was in for a thrashing, he leaped out of bed and threw himself at Scar's feet. "Please, have mercy!" he begged, tugging on his pant legs. "I've learned my lesson! I wont harass Lyra or anyone else anymore! PLEASE! HAVE MERCY, MY LORD!" he begged between sobs.
Dante smiled when she saw the car pull up to the house. If Kyle's parents were out of the hospital, that had to be a good sign, she reasoned. She opened her mouth to say something, but stopped when her cell phone rang. "Excuse me," she said, taking the ringing phone out of her pocket. Stepping to the side, she answered it. "Hello?..."

Noticing that Nikolai had fallen back asleep, Martel decided to bring him back upstairs. After she did, she tried to think of something to say to Rose. She knew why her son seemed to fear the woman so much, but Rose had apparently forgotten the incident.
Bandit had followed Dante and Dahlia outside and was sitting quietly near Dante's flower garden, occasionally snapping at ladybugs that flew by her head.

Dante listened patiently as the person at the other end of the line spoke to her. She stood motionless for a few moments before walking over to the veranda and taking a seat on a chair.
After about two minutes, she finally got a word in: "But you know the Philosopher's Stone is gone, Magrace. It was depleted when I tried to open the Gate myself."
Her expression soured at his reply. "...We were going to open the Gate at your mansion, but we ran into some difficult. And I don't appreciate the tone you're taking with me."
Dahlia noticed that her mother was starting to get angry, and whimpered lightly.
"...What do you mean? Archer was assisting me, as well as my homunculi. ...You're kidding me, right? You are not in charge of this operation, Magrace. I do not need your permission to include people in the effort," she snapped.

Instantly, Bandit turned her attention to Dahlia. She had grown rather fond of the little girl. After all, she was one of her master's best friends and seemed to love to imitate the small dog. Bandit went to the corner of the yard and grabbed a book that was nearly as thick as she was. She ran over to Dante and set the book by her feet, her tail wagging slowly.

Dante narrowed her eyes at Magrace's reply and, without saying another word to him, turned the phone off and put it back in her pocket. "That man..." she grumbled, leaning back in her chair. She was starting to regret contacting him in the first place.
Noticing the book at her feet, Dante picked it up with her free hand and examined it curiously. "What's this?" she wondered, opening it.
Dahlia had begun to calm down now that her mother wasn't yelling anymore. She looked down at Bandit and yipped happily.

The book was rather old and it's pages were yellow with age. It appered to be a diary, seeing as there were dates at the top of each page.
"Excuse me" Alice said softly. "Would it be alright if Kevin spent the night? My husband and I have some work to do around the house, and we just think he'd be more comfortable here".

Dante was carefully thumbing through the book when she heard Alice speaking to her. Looking up, she nodded lightly. "Of course. And how is Kyle doing, may I ask?"

"We're not sure" Alice replied softly. "The doctors saw a series of welts and bruises on his chest and they're keeping him overnight to see what happens".
As Dante turned the pages of the book, a small piece of jewerly as well as an envelope, fell from a page in the far back of the book. The jewerly was a silver locket with the intials REV etched into a picture of an eagle.
A nurse walked past Yoki's room and smiled kindly at Scar. "Remember to use the corners" she reminded him, placing a tray of food near Yoki's bed before leaving.

Scar shut the door behind him and locked the door. "Your right." he said calmly as he pulled a pair of gloves out of his pocket and put them on. "You won't harass her again. Or anyone else. Ever." He kicked Yoki in the head and raised the book, slamming the edge onto the mans back. Dropping it, he knelt down and wrapped his glov ed hands around the fools throat.

Dante frowned when Alice brought up the welts and bruises. "Really? How awful. Well, I'll keep him in my thoughts."
Something glittering on her lap caught her attention. Looking down, she saw a fancy silver locket and an envelope. She picked up the locket and examined it curiously. "Hmm..? REV?"
Yoki let out a pained yell when Scar slammed the book on his back. When Scar wrapped his hands around his throat, he tried to pull away, but to no avail. "Think about what you're doing!" he choked out desperately. "You have a kid, don't you? And Lyra is your wife, isn't she? If you kill me, you'll be throwing them away!"
Someone was pounding on the door. "What's going on in there? Open up!" demanded a very authoritative, yet oddly sensual voice.

"REV probably stands for Ronald Evan Vickton" Kevin said, coming to Dante. "He was the guy who built this house back in 1834. There was a rumor that he hid his family fortune somewhere in the house before he was killed by his stepdaughter".
Meanwhile, Rose had gone downstairs and decided to look at the flowers in Dante's garden. Perhaps Lady Dante would know why that poor child seemed to hate her so much. She would have to ask after Dante stopped talking to Kevin.

"Family treasure?" Dante gave him a skeptical look, then looked down at the envelope next to the locket. Opening it, she began to read over what was inside, not seeing Rose wandering about in her garden.

"Hey, it's just a rumor" Kevin said, shrugging his shoulders. "Something that Terri always told me to get to me go to bed". When Dante openned the letter, he leaned over to read it himself.
Dear Jessica,
As I am sure you know, I will be leaving my home in Nowhere very soon. May this letter act as my last will and testement. To my son, Reginald Franklin Vickton, I leave my most prized possesion: my silver pocketwatch. My estate and everything found within and outside it's walls, shall be left in the care of my stepdaughter Clarabelle Hannah Hitlier. My father's jewels are to be given to my youngest son, Michael John Vickton when he comes of age. The jewels have been hidden within the walls of my home. The locket holds the key.
Love,
Ronald Evan Vickton (REV)

"It seems your sister knew what she was talking about," Dante commented as she folded the letter. Picking up the lock, she examined it closely, then tried to open it.
Dahlia was not at all interested in what was going on around her. Instead, she obliviously chewed on her foot, staring off into the distance.

Seeing that Dante was done with the letter, Rose walked over to her. "Excuse me, Lady Dante" she muttered, lightly tapping Dante's shoulder. "May I speak with you about something?"
"You know, it's possible that his stepdaughter already got the jewels. After all, she lived in the house for fifty years, I'd think she'd check every room there was" Kevin commented as Dante attempted to open the locket.
