"Fine by me. You want something else to drink?" Greed asked, closing the fridge door and leaning against the nearby wall, drinking his beer. He glanced over at Barry and asked, "So, you killed a few people, right? You met Arden yet? The two of you'd probably get along".

"Anything except alcohol. I havent actually had any liquid or food whatsoever for two years."
Barry grinned slightly.
"Yeargh, quite a few I'd reckon. Oh, Arden? She the lil girl? Yeah, I met her. She sure has got some talent in there. Her-younger brother?-think he was called Nikolai or something. He seems pretty special too." He glanced up.
"But I guess you're the father? That would explain it. Though of course, I wasn't aware if humunculi actually are capable of reproducing." He added calmly, finishing off his food.

At Barry's question about whether he had fathered the twins, Greed nodded. "Apparently coming through the Gate messed with some of us in more ways than others" he said, taking another sip of his beer. He walked over to the fridge and took out a soda, before walking over and handing it to Barry. "By the way, Nikolai's actually the older one. Though, out of the two, he's the one you shouldn't worry about".

"How do you think we got here?" Greed asked, placing down his drink. This guy had been a suit of armor before. Was it possible that switching to a human body had messed up his mind or something?

Barry frowned again, taking a cautious sip of his drink.
He spluttered in shock, as he got the whole bubbly substance up his nose.
"Look, if this is some kind of an inside joke I'm not getting it. I don't know if its some thing you all know around here, but this 'Gate' thing doesn't sound that familiar to me."

"Apparently its some sort of portal that leads to this world from Amestris." Greed told Barry, throwing his now empty can in the sink. "If you want more information ask one of the alchemist---they'd know more about it than me".

Barry choked slightly, pinching his nose. "Gawd, what is this stuff?"
Something suddenly clicked in his mind.
"Hang on...portal?" A vague memory of...well, something..was pushing up against hís mind.
"What does it look like?"

"Big, black, with a bunch of purple eyes inside it" Greed said, trying to remember what the Gate had looked like in some of those books he'd looked at when actually working under Dante.
Just then, Bandit ran into the room, with a bloody rabbit hanging from her jaws. She growled at Barry, the bunny still in her mouth.

He glanced quickly at the dog, but turned to Greed again.

"Not in my opinion. To me it just looks like a giant hole or something. Doesn't look like it would lead anyway" Greed said, kneeling down and petting the dog in hopes of pacifing her. He looked back at Barry and said, "What did you do to make Bandit here so pissed?"

Barry glanced down at the dog.
"Dunno." He sighed, scratching the back of his neck.
"I've never been that good with kids, but I normally get along well with animals. The trick of being a butcher is that you have to be able to keep the animals calm, mostly to make sure they don't trample you, and mostly to ensure that the meat isn't all tough because the animal was in great fear when it was killed."

Denny took Markus in his arms, he baby having finished his milk and left the room.
He passed Greed on the way, giving him a nod of greeting before continuing up the stairs.
Making quick work of putting decent clothes on the boy, he took him outside and let the child play on the grass.
Watching with interest as Bandit ran by a few times, the last time with a rabbit in her jaws.

Jean put down his drink and looked at the ever growing cloud of perfume growing around the woman.
"Hey, Ash, I'm gonna count to 2 and if I still see that perfume bottle I'm tossing it out on the street, along with you." He threatened with a steely look.
He was always careful when giving warnings to women, as they usually slapped him or screamed sexual intimidation whenever he tried to kick them out.

Ashley sighed in annoyance, but placed down her perfume bottle. She replaced it with a cigarette, which she promptly lit. The blonde girl then leaned back , pressing her back against the bar and began to smoke

"If you wanna smoke, go to the designated area." He stared at her blankly before adding a please.

JD smirked slightly, then looked at Jean. He then turned his glance to his cousin, tapping her shoulder. Ashley twirled around to face him.
"Hey, Ash, aren't you supposed to meet Alex somewhere now?" he asked her, warranting a shocked look and her rushing out of the Styx.
Once his cousin was gone and the smoke had cleared, JD turned to Jean. "So...where did Martel say she was going, exactly?"

"Eh, out?" He guessed, not really sure as he hadn't asked " I dunno, probably family issues or something. She doesn't take off early for much else, does she?"
He then tapped the bar, holding up one finger, signalling for another juice.
