Personality: Haley is a loose cannon alchemist. Sometimes she doesn't even know what she will do in a tough situation. She is very independent, which is why she refuses to become a State Alchemist. She hates having to answer to anyone, and she hates having to work with anyone. She can come off as callous and even mean at times. But really deep down she has a good heart, if she felt like she needed to she would jump in to save a life, even at the risk of her own life.
Physical Description: She is a very fit young woman, she appears small though she is tough and has a considerable amount of muscles. Her hair falls to her waste and is a very bright red, when it is windy it almost looks like fire. She is a tomboy even though she wears a skirt. Her eyes contrast her hair with a grass-like color green. They are very large in size and seem empty of emotion. When you look into them, you don’t have to ask about her past, you know it was a very harsh past. She is of average height standing at five foot six inches. She wears a sword that she uses when she needs to. It has an array at the bottom of the blade so if she needs to change it into a different kind of weapon, she can.
History: Haley’s history is filled with sadness. It has made her who she is so she doesn’t dwell on it. Her mother died in childbirth, so she never knew her. It was her mother’s first and only pregnancy so she doesn’t have any siblings. She was raised by her father until she was sixteen; they became each other’s best friends. She felt as if she could go to her father for anything. At sixteen her father was attacked by a horrible disease where he died after much suffering. She was taken in by her paternal uncle after her father passed away; he was her only living relative. Her uncle was a retired State Alchemist who began teaching her alchemy when she turned seventeen. She was always a quick learner so she picked up on it very quickly. Out of fear that she would attempt human alchemy, her uncle never told her it was possible. So to this day she has no idea that you can even try something like that. After some time it was discovered that her father’s illness was genetic, so her uncle too fell ill and died when she was 18. She lives in fear that she too will fall victim to this illness. Having being raised by men her whole childhood, it made her a tomboy. Since everyone who has ever cared for her has passed away she is afraid to let anyone take care of her so over the last four years she has become very independent. She still remembers what her uncle has taught her and attempts to further her studies on her own, though she is still considered a novice at alchemy.
