Riza walked towards the restaurant and sat in a table.
"Well... he better has a good reason for this..." Riza said refering to Mustang and waited for him, reading the menu.

Mustang breezed through the door of the resraunt. He knew he was late but he figured his reason why was justified.
He walked over to Riza and handed her a red rose that he had picked up for her along the way over.
"Hello Riza. You look very lovely tonight."He smiled suavely at her as he took off his coat and sitting down across from her at the table.
It was the truth too, Mustang thought Riza looked stunning, and he liked what he saw. Now if only she dressed like that at the office.he thought to himself.

Riza stared at him and slowly shaked her head, taking the rose. "Thanks Colonel." She said with a small smirk in her face. "You look good too..." She said looking straight into his eyes. "Almost as good as late" she said and smiled a bit more. Riza wasn't really angry at him, she knew Roy pretty well, and kinda thought he would be late.
Riza put the rose over the table, and took a small sip of her champagne. Then took Roy's cup and served some for him, handing him a menu that was over the table. "Shall we order something to eat Mr. Mustang?" she asked, while looking at her menu.

Roy rolled his eyes with a smirk at her comment. "Well I could have been on time but that would have given you a heart attack from the shock of it and I would hate to hospital food as our date cuisine." He said with a chuckle as he took the glass Riza offered to him.
He took a sip and smiled at her.
"We shall, Miss Hawkeye. Since you probably had plenty of time to study the menu thanks to my tardiness why don't you go ahead and order for us both. I trust your tastes." he said suavely.

"Good excuse Colonel, thanks for coming late then..." she said with a half smile. "My so deep and tought studies of this menu, finished with the conclusion that the best thing we could eat is, as an appetizer, shrimp ceviche with coconut milk and as a main dish, lobster, green salad and baked potato." she smiled. "Do you want me to write a report of this Colonel? or are you okay with my choice?"
Riza gave another sip and ended her drink, serving some into her cup. The bottle was about to end, it seemed she had been drinking the while Roy wasn't there, and it was truth indeed. "What about ordering a drink as well?" she asked looking in a sexy way straight into his eyes. "Let your so vast experience in so enjoyable drinks guide you in choosing the next bottle... I'm wondering Colonel... what will you order to drink?" she said drinking the last champagne she had just served.

Roy chuckled at her, he loved being able to enjoy her company like this.
"No Lt. Hawkeye that will suffice. No report is nessicary. Epecialy since I don't want to fill out anymore paperwork."he said taking another drink of his champagne.
Suddenly he caught Riza looking at him so sexily and he almost dropped his glass. Damn! She looked so gorgeous and it made him just want her more.
He cleared his throat giving himself a moment to regain his composure.
"Well I am not knowledgeable with such fancy womanly drinks, it's more manly liquor that puts hair on your chest . Now that is my specialty."he said with a smirk.

Riza looked at the bottle and then back into his eyes. "I'm not like all women, you know, I'm not so exigent, I love and enjoy manly drinks as well Mr. Mustang, what about a bottle of rum... would you like that? or may you like some vodka? whiskey? I'm okay with those."
She served the last part of champagne in her cup and drank it. "I'll have to say, you look really handsome today Roy." She said slightly blushing. "What about if this honorable gentleman, calls the waiter?"

Mustang felt his stomach flutter at her compliment. Damn, she sure does it to me. he thought as he did his best to keep cool but it was getting hard to keep his composure.
"Thank you, Riza. As you always do, you look beautiful."he smiled at her looking into her eyes sincerely for a moment. "Now if you think you can handle it I'll order us some vodka. Just be careful not to over do it or I'll be carrying you home instead escorting."Mustang said with a wink.

Riza raised an eyebrow. "Don't worry, Vodka is just fine." she said half smiling at him, softening her look. She started to play with the empty bottle of champagne, as if she was bored. The truth was she had been waiting for him a long while. "So... tell me, what's the reason for this date Mr. Mustang?" she asked him in a gently tone.

Allright Roy you knew this was coming, she was gonna ask. Don't blow it. Roy reached over and gently took her hand.
"Look Riza, we both knew this was a long time coming, we both have beating around the bush for too long so I decided it to take the step forward. It's probably obvious how I feel with this but it's up to you, this can be just a casual date between close friends or it can be a chance at to friends to take a step forward with how they feel as more then friends. It's your choice, Riza." He said as he lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it.

Riza's eyes softened and she blushed. "Roy... I... Will always be beside you to protect you... To help you reach your dreams, and if this is part of them, then I'll keep being in your side... You know you are the only one i have left... and the only one I..." she didn't want to sound like she was expecting this moment so she changed what she was gonna say. "I ever trusted."
Riza smiled a bit, she was happy, Roy had said it in some way. "We have to more forward... right?..." she asked him, grabing his hand, tightly.

Roy smiled at her. In his heart all the doubt he ever had about her rejecting him and losing her was washed away. He knew what they had would be forever, he would make sure of that.
"Yes, Riza." he answered squeezing her hand gently. "And I promise you whatever we face this, you and me together will always be in our future dreams just as it is here right now in the present. I will make sure of that because I can't live without you. You are the world to me and I am nothing without you. Not even a military title means that much to me as you do. I would sacrifice it all for you." He looked deeply into her eyes meaning every word he said.

"Riza, I am not expecting anything from you now." Roy said looking her in the eye as gently caressed her hand with his. "I mean I of all people know how risky everything is becoming in the military. I would never want to put you in vulnerable position where anyone could use you to get to me. So thats what has been said here tonight stay between us and the things we do must be kept for the times when we are alone.
For both of our safety's.
Okay I guess I am asking one thing, Just that you would continue to love me and remind me of that in your words in actions when I need it.
And I will do the same until the day when the fighting is over and we turn in our titles and love each other without a care in the world."

She gave the menus to the waiter and then turned back to Roy.
"Now all we have to do is keep living until the day comes..."

"Yes sir." she answered smiling. The waiter brought the food and served the vodka to both, then left. Riza started to eat in a delicate way, then gave a sip to her vodka. "Roy, I'll always be beside you, no matter what." She said to him.
