HQ: Working hard or hardly working?

It was another ordinary day at the military headquarters.
Roy stood at the window staring out it at nothing really and yawned. He knew there was huge pile of paper work waiting for him on his desk but he had no intention starting on it. I can do it later. Besides I might as well enjoy my peace and quiet before that whiny little shrimp gets in here. He rolled his eyes at that thought.
"That kid has no idea what he is getting him self into searching for the godforsaken philoshper stone. No idea at all." Mustang grumbled to himself as he shook his head.

Ed walked into the Head Quarters attempting to avoid Mustang. He looked around for Riza trying to see why she wanted him around.

He saw Mustang by the window. He quickly turned around before he could be seen. He had no intention of dealing with Mustang this early in the day.

Hughes was just getting into work. A big Elysia obsessed smile populated the majority of his face. He walked past the rushing Ed, "Morning there, Ed!" He exclaimed with happiness. He walked into where Mustang was. "Morning, Roy, you have no idea what Elysia did this morning...it was so cute!" He said, as expected of him. As soon as he got done with his story he would be able to get down to the problem he came across yesterday.

Fuhrer Bradley sighed in exasperation as he waited for the elevator leading to the Underground City to reach his office. Dante had just finished scolding him for the slow progress in Lior, and even though he loved his master dearly, that was the last thing he needed. He spent all last night tending to a sick Selim and going over reports. Needless to say he didn't get much sleep.

Stepping out of the elevator, he pulled the secret switch and watched as it was concealed by his two bookcases. Bradley then left his office and strolled down the hallway, his dignified aura overshadowing his weariness. He resolved to punch out early and dump his work on that suck-up Haruko, whom he knew would gladly do it if it improved his chances for that 'promotion' he had been looking forward to for years.

Bradley, turning around the corner, saw Edward loitering near Mustang's office. He put on that friendly, charismatic smile he was so well-known for and walked over to 'That Person''s most valuable pawn. "Good morning, Fullmetal. What brings you here this morning?"

[AG]

Ed looked at Bradley, "Well, Miss Hawkeye asked me to come in...she had something for me. I really don't have much information myself...I am just looking for her." He explained to the fuhrer.

Mustang groaned and rubbed his temples as soon as his friend Maes Hughes began talking about his daughter Elysia.
Although Roy was happy for Hughes it often got on Roy's nerves to hear him talk about her constantly.
"Hughes, I am sure what ever Elysia did was cute but we have buisness to attend to." Roy said a bit strained. He hoped he had stopped Hughes from going on one of his tangeants but he wasn't too sure.

Hughes stopped and frowned, "sure, Roy..." He grabbed some papers on the desk, "Look, I need to show you this information I gathered. But I am not sure if you want to look at it." he warned Mustang in his serious attitude.

Roy furrowed his brow, Hughes looked very serious about what he was about to tell him and that bothered Roy the most. Whatever Hughes had to tell him it was obviously not good news.
"Hughes, just show me what you have found. " Roy said in a very serious tone.

[AG]

Hughes paused a moment. He couldn't believe he was about to make the accusation he was about to make. He feared it being someone as close to him as Mustang, but this had to be said. "Roy..." he said as he approached his friend. "There is nowhere near enough evidence to start an investigation...and right now an investigation within the army would be the downfall of our state. But..." he paused again. "There is reason to believe we have a traitor in our midst." He whispered, hoping no one else would hear him. After he said it, he looked at Mustang with more fear in his eyes then ever. Please give me no reason to believe that it's you.... he thought to himself, wishing he could say it.

((Mustang -- that's weird -- if you want to temp someone else in the military that would be good...))

"Ah, I see. Unfortunately, I haven't seen Lieutenant Hawkeye since last evening, but I'll keep my eye out for her," he said with a smile, patting the young alchemist on the shoulder with a strong hand. With that, the Fuhrer turned and resumed his walk down the hallway.

((I could do Havoc if ya want.))
"Traitor in our mist?" Roy repeated after Hughes. He could believie it, ho can there be a traitor and him not be aware of it. "Are you completely positive on this information, Hughes? Please explain to me on what information that you believe this to be true."
He looked at Hughes reading his expression, he hoped Hughes knew him well enough not expect him to be the traitor and that he had more integrity then to do that.

"Like I said. There is nowhere near enough evidence to do much. It is a hunch...I just wanted to make it known to you. That's all." Hughes re informed his friend. "I have no idea to even suspect. Looking at everyone. It looks like the information I do have can't even be real." He explained. He sat down at a desk, "I have no idea what to do or think. I came to you first. And I know you will be angry, but I wanted to know if it could possibly be you..." He looked at Mustang hoping he wouldn't be too angry. "I mean, you first crossed my mind when I realized you would do anything to be the fuhrer. You have to understand my little suspicion." He elaborated on his suspicion to his friend.

(yeah sure)

Roy Mustang narrowed his eyes at Maes and looked him straightly.
It angered Roy that Hughes would even suggest that he was a part of anything like this and he had to get his point across, Maes had to understand that he wasn't the traitor.
"Hughes, although I do desire to be Fuer I would never do anything that deceitful to get there. I want to make it on my own accord with my own integrity. Not go behind the whole military company like a sniveling rat. Trust me on this one Hughes, I am not the one you are looking for." Mustang said with irritation laced in his voice.

(Havoc)
Havoc strolled into headquarters with a smile on his face. He had been on his lunch break and had gotten a chance to talk to the girl who worked at the flower shop again. He felt that he was closer to asking her out on a date and that made him feel pretty self confident. He came around the corner and saw Ed waiting rather impatiently in the hallway.
"Hey Ed, what ya doing out here?"he said as leaned back against the wall digging out one of his cigarettes from his pocket. He then pulled out his matches and lite it, sticking it in his mouth.

Hughes nodded to Mustang. "I understand that Roy, but you have to see where I am coming from." he stated to his friend. "But, like I said. This is a very preconceived idea, and I don't know how to even continue in my private investigation. I am actually afraid to continue. If I am caught, I don't know what could happen to me." He said as he looked at Mustang, fear was apparent in his eyes. All he could think about in this moment was his family, and the pain he could cause them if something happened. What would happen to them? He looked away so that Mustang didn't see he was starting to tear.

Ed looked at Havoc, "Oh, waiting for Miss Hawkeye, she called me in. Which is weird...she has never really called me in herself." He smiled as he spoke to his friend. "Do you know where she is?" He asked.

Roy sat back in his chair and rubbed his temples in frustration. This was a very delicate and disturbing matter. The thought of the military being infiltrated by the enemy that he couldn't take lightly.
Yet he knew there were risks too, it was very dangerous. He saw the fear in his friend's eyes. "Hughes, I know the severity of this investigation and it's dangerous risks. So that is why I am not going to ask you to pursue this.
But I am also not going to stop you from pursuing it either. I am leaving it up to. What ever choice you make is what I will honor."
He looked into his friend's eyes with complete seriousness.

(Havoc) Havoc took a long drag on his cigarette and the smoke out slowly. "Can't say that I have, Ed. Maybe you should ask colonel, Iam sure he knows where she is."

[AG]

Ed looked at Havoc in distress. "I am avoiding the colonel and his short jokes, and his 'I am so much better than you attitude!'" he said immaturely to the military man. He was going to stay fast on not dealing with the colonel. He was pig headed and going to avoid him as long as he managed. "I will just wait here. She will pass by eventually..." he said as he turned away, crossed his arms, and stuck his nose in the air.

Hughes turned from Mustang, smart move Roy, you want me to continue...but you want nothing to do with it. He thought with a smile on his face. He turned again, "And if you are questioned...if the military gets wind of it, what will you do?" He asked.

((I make a damn good Mustang, don't I?))
Roy crossed his arms and closed his eyes with a sigh. "Basically what I told you, Hughes. That it's not me and I know nothing about it. Which is the truth on both accounts."

Havoc:
Havoc chuckled and took another drag on his cigarette. "Suit your self Ed, but you are probably going to be here a while waiting for her. It may be quicker with colonel, whether ya wanna admit or not."

[AG]

Hughes nodded, "alright then." He said as he gathered all of the files he had and started to walk out of the office. "I just hope this isn't as bad as it could end up being, Roy. It could be the downfall of our state." He said with one final look at his friend. He knew that this was the most difficult case he would ever have to work on. He looked at everyone, he knew at least, in the military as a friend, a colleague, a brother. The thought of calling someone out on this horrible possibility would be the hardest thing he would ever have to do. All he needed now was the proof.

Hughes walked out of the office and saw Ed and Havoc standing off in the distance. He changed his face immediately. He really had no real reason to suspect these two, but he couldn't rule them out either ((I am turning Hughes into L from Death Note...XD)). "Hey guys!" He said with a big smile on his face, "Wanna hear the cute story I have about Elysia?" He blurted out like normal so neither of them would know they were under his private investigation. ((is it sad that the storyline I am giving Hughes makes me want to switch? XD))

Ed looked at Hughes as he started coming forward. "Hey there Hughes...have you seen Miss Hawkeye?" He asked trying to change the subject. He thought Elysia was cute but he just wasn't in the mood to hear another story about her.

Hughes stopped and looked clueless, "Nope...not today." He then pulled out a picture and showed it to his friends. "Look how cuuuuuuute!" He said in a baby sounding voice.

"Heheheh"Havoc laughs nervously, backing up against the wall. The only possible exit was into Roy's office.
"Hey Ed, i'll just uh go ask the colonel for ya 'bout Hawkeye."He flashes Ed a quick grin and slips into the office, letting out a sigh of relief.
He takes a drag from his cigarette before grinning to himself.
"Damn i'm good."

[AG]

Ed looked at Hughes, "Uhhh...do we have to do this now?" He asked his friend. "I have to find Miss Hawkeye." He said as he tried to slip away from the crazed father.

((Sorry about that guys, I have been at friend's house for Spring Break without internet access. It's nice to see we have a Havoc, cause I don't think I was doing that great of a job temping him. Anyone else you want tempted?))

Mustang was in deep thought contemplating with his eyes closed all that Maes had told him about there being a traitor among them when Havoc slipped into his office. Mustang opened his and looked at his subordinate with questioning eyes. Could he be the traitor. I am going to watch him like a hawk, just in case he does something to show his true intentions of being so. ((Oh dear, what did Maes do to Roy. Now he is going to be acting even weirder then normal expecting everyone to be the traitor. lol. ))
"What can I do for you, Havoc?"
