HQ: Working hard or hardly working?

Surprised by the Colonels voice Havoc almost banged into a desk while turning around so quickly.
"Jeez Boss, didn't see you there?" He grins rubbing the back of his neck.
He notices the sharp look his superior is giving him and shivers slightly.
"I was just walking by.Came across Hughes, so ya know.Had to hide somewhere"He finishes with a big grin.

"Ah yes, I understand. Hughes has a tendency to make people want to do that." Mustang said with a nod as he studied Havoc a little more.
Hmm. He looks a bit nervous. Maybe it's him trying to cover something up. I will just have to watch him very carefully.
"So Havoc, did you happen to see anyone else here when you came in? It's been strangely quiet today."

"Uh yeah actually, i just saw Ed out in the hallway.Said Hawkeye called him in.Why she'd do that i have no clue."Havoc finishes with a shrug and slouches over to his desk.
He casts the Colonel one last glance before sitting on his chair.

What's up with him?He should lay off the caffeine a bit more, i reckon.
Leaning back in his chair, he quickly scans the office.

"Where is everybody anyway?"

Kimbley sauntered down the hallway, his sick grin plastered on his face. He was feeling very high and mighty ever since getting his job back, plus a promotion, thanks to Archer. He flexed his fingers. They were already itching to blow someone up, but he had control. He could wait. After all he waited all those years in prison. He'd be back in the battlefront soon. He passed Hughes and Edward in the hall, slowing his pace to flash them his smirk. "morning." He said smoothly, giving a faint wave. He passed, and couldn't help but to laugh to himself sinisterly. Oh, how he couldn't wait to be back out on the field.

Hmm Hawkeye called Full Metal into HQ without my knowledge. Maybe she suspects something I don't about Full Metal. She is usually pretty perceptive with that womans intuition stuff, maybe she figured out that there was traitor before Hughes did. Maybe Full Metal is the traitor, he is so desperate to find that damn philospher stone. Maybe he has sold us out for information.
" I am not sure, Havoc. Why don't you go find them and tell them to come here." I need to talk to all of them to figure out who the real traitor is. "Oh by the way, on your way out, send that little shrimp in here."

Standing up with a spring Havoc salutes Roy"Sure thing Boss." And makes his way ou the door.
At least I don't have to do paperwork He grins to himself as he walks over to Full Metal, hoping to god Hughes would let them leave in peace.

"Yo, Ed! Colonel wants you in his office asap."He slaps Ed on the back real hard then turns to Maes, pushing away the photo's the man kept shoving in his face "You wouldn't have happend to see any of the others, Hughes?"

Ed's face fell deeper into despair. "I told you I was avoiding him...why did you say anything?" He exclaimed to Havoc as his back was slapped. Ed looked, and was, very annoyed. "Fine..." he said in a defeatist voice.

Ed sulked into the office where he saw Mustang, "What do you want..." he said with irritation, yet still trying to sound respectful.

"Hello Full Metal. Come and sit."Roy said with a grin that he knew would make Ed nervous. "I just want you to give me a full report of what exactly has happened on your search for the philosopher stone. Don't leave anything out, Full Metal."
He looks innocent enough right now but I will know for sure if he is traitor when he gives me his report.

Ed looked at Mustang, what is up with him? He's acting weird... he thought to himself. "Umm, well..." he started, "I have just been searching...Al and I had a lead in Lior...but that turned out to be a bust..." he said disappointedly. "I have also been to Xenotime...for a lead...same flop..." He finished, now with irritation.

Okay nothing out of the ordinary with those reports. Still there is still possibility that this shrimp is hiding something. He continued to study him.
"So what is your next move, Full Metal. Where do you and your brother have your next lead?"

Ed sighed with desperation. He never liked confiding in Mustang, however, the colonel hit a nerve. "There are no leads right now." he said back to his defeatist attitude. He hated the fact that he couldn't help his brother. He lowered his head, "can I go find Miss Hawkeye now?" He asked sulking.

Roy studied the young boy closely and he could see the pain in his eyes for all he had been through. It was a pain that tore at Mustangs heart, the pain that himself had suffered since that one day. The pain of guilt.
And through seeing that pain he knew the kid only had one motive, the motive of retribution for what he had done.
Yet still Mustnag didn't want to see him slaving after it like he had done all these years. He was too young waste his life like that.
Suddenly he had an idea, a way to make Ed useful and a away to keep his watchful eye on him for now.
"Actually Fullmetal I have a mission for you. It's a very serious mission, such in a matter that I cannot mention it here. All I can do is tell you to report to, Hughes. Tell him I want you to help him with what he is working on and that I will understand if he doesn't want to indanger you with it but I would like him to have your help.
He will know of what I am speaking of. "
Roy looked at Ed very seriously. "Edward, make you sure you are very careful about this, this is more dangerous then looking for the philoshper stone. Way more dangerous by a long ways so use your head. Now go."
Mustang knew the danger he was putting Ed in having help Hughes find the traitor moung the miltary but he knew he was the best person for the job. He was smart and strong, for such a young boy. It reminded Mustang of how he was as his age. Thats why he knew Ed could do it but of course he would never voice this to him.

((Ed I knew you still wanted a shot with the traitor storyline, well here ya go.))

Ed looked at Mustang skeptically, "What are you..." he started. He then realized that he wasn't going to get anything more out of him. "Hmm..." he finished off the sentence and nodded. "I'll go talk to Hughes then. If Miss Hawkeye comes in tell her I am here." He said to Mustang. He started out the office, though he was quite confused as to why Mustang was actually treating him well. It was rather rare to be treated as anything more then a child. It actually made Ed feel pretty good to be treated as a member of the military.

Ed made his way out of Mustang's office and saw Hughes, "Hughes, can I talk to you real fast?" He said to his friend, "Mustang said he wanted me to help you with whatever it is you are working on." He explained as he hoped Hughes knew what he was talking about.

Maes nodded, "Yes. I believe there is a traitor within our mists here in the military. I just do not have evidence to say who, or why." he studied Edward crefully, Can he be the one? I know he'll do anything to restore his brother's body back to normal. Would he ahve leaked information elsewhere to get info on the Stone..?

Ed felt like a truck had just hit him, a traitor? He thought to himself. "I can't believe it...and you have no idea who it could possibly be?" He asked him, "The colonel wants me to help you find this traitor I guess..." he explained.

Having walked off, Havoc stopped at the end of the hallway and looked back at Maes, he was acting way too weird, even for himself.
Shrugging it off, he continued his search of the base.

Feeling like he just had to start some noise around there, Kimbley emerged from his hiding place in the shadows and snuck up behind Havoc. He jabbed his fingers into Havoc's back and yelled, "Go BOOM!"

Jumping at the feeling of something on his back, Havoc's military reflexes kicked in, he turned and drew out his gun, hearing a familiar voice he cocked the weapon.
Finding Kimblee smirking like the bastard he is. Havoc was pissed at himself now, having let that ass scare him like that.
"Tch.Whaddya want?"He took extra long putting his gun away, contemplating whether he should just shoot or not.

Kimbley laughed again, raising his hands in mock fear. "Just wanting some action. It's dead here." His fingers twitched. "If you're going to shoot, then do it before I can get my hands on you, Second Lieutenant." He said, his voice sneering out the rank.

"Tch.Be a waste of bullets."Havoc turned to leave, but figured he might as well ask the psychopath "You wouldn't have happened to see any of Colonel Mustangs staff anywhere, would you?"
