((Why do you have to wait for me?!))
At first, Lan was almost positive that there was someone following him. He pulled out all the stops, dodging around people to burrow farther into the crowded street, and taking a number of detours to get whoever might be tailing him completely and thoroughly lost, if they weren't used to taking the alleys and sideroads. Not for the first time, he was glad he'd taken the time to get to know the city before getting involved in activities some might call illegal.
Finally, he stopped for a brief rest, leaning up against a brick wall in an alley. That was the real drawback of these metal plates sewn into his coat: they were heavy. They tired him out more quickly than if the coat didn't have them, but not enough to make him try and take them out, or get a new coat. They'd saved his life more than once. The dents where evidence enough of that.
While he took a breather, he gave himself time to think. His employer was no doubt rounded up with the rest of the terrorists already. He might have even been ratted out. That meant no money, and the military gaining knowledge of his existance. He'd been hoping to operate under their noses a bit longer, but things didn't seem to be going the way he'd thought. One thing was for sure, though. He needed to skip town, and try again elsewhere. East City was going to be a dangerous place at the moment. The sooner he could get out, the better, too, because there was a possibility that they might decide to block all the exits.
That thought brought the need to get going down upon him. With a short sigh, he took a quick glance around, and noticed something with a grin. A fire escape. That meant a way up onto the roofs, where he was less likely to get caught. After one more look to make sure no one was spying on or trailing him, he started up the stairs.

"Oh, no you don't!" Tai cried as he slammed his hands on the side of the brick wall. The red stone surged forth, ripping the metal poles of the fire escape off the wall sending the newly twisted steal to the ground in a heap.
Tai took a few steps forward, whezzing slightly. It had taken quite a bit of energy to floow this guy. Luckily he stood out in a ground. He was obviously Xingenesse.
"I need to make this stuff lighter," Tai said with a smirk as he caught his breath. "Having three limbs of auto-mail can really wear you out. Now, I'm going to have to ask you to come with me."
Tai looked at the guy. He appeared to be slowly rummaging around in his coat. This sparked his interest, but also further warned him to remain cautious.
"Don't think that just becuase I'm a kid I can't beat you. I didn't become a Lt. Colonel and a State Alchemist for nothing, you know."
He'll probably try to run out the other way. Better seal it off, and try to buy some time for Devon to show up. Tai had lost him in the crowd.
Placing both hands on the ground, Tai reimitated the stunt he had pulled at the warehouse, but this wall was strait and not curved. It was also taller than both Tai and this new guy.
"Hallow, right? Don't be foolish. Come quietly and I won't have to beat you senseless."

Lan narrowed his eyes slightly. He was beginning to wonder exactly how this kid had become the 'Lieutenant Colonel' he said he was. He talked too much for a soldier.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about, sir!" He said quickly as he collected himself. He reached into a pocket with one hand, using the movement to mask the quick jerk that released the tie on the knife in his other sleeve. He pulled out a slip of paper; his passport.
"My name is Lan," he went on. "I've never heard of the name 'Hallow'. Peculiar, isn't it, even by your local standards?" He took a glance backwards, purposely making the move seem fearful, like it was hard for him to believe this boy had managed to make the wall that now blocked his escape. In reality, he was considering how he could get around it. A plan was forming in his mind, though not a very good one. If he could just keep the kid talking a bit longer...

What is he doing? Tai asked himself. He has a look in his eyes. Something's up...
"I became a Lnt. Colonel by stopping people like you," Tai said as he rushed forward. Time for talk was over. He knew the mind of a terrorist. They got you monlouging, then they made their escape while you just stood there like an idiot with your mouth hanging open.
"I don't know many Amestrians who are originally from Xing, pal, and your description fits that of a guy I was just informed about!" Tai slid his left hand down the side of his right arm, and blue electricity palyed there. A blade formed from the cold steel, the sharp tip gleaming in the little light the sun gave in the darkened alleyway.
Tai swung his bladed arm at the man's shoulder, then aimed his left foot at his stomach, attempting to stun him, then continue with his assult...

Just Lan's luck. The kid apparently didn't know what a passport was, or that it meant he wasn't, in fact, from Amestris. Also unlucky, he saw right through what Lan was trying to do. Even for having three automail limbs, as the boy had so graciously informed him, he was pretty fast. Not fast enough to keep him from retaliating, but fast. That plus the pause to use alchem gave him ample time to flip the knife in his hand to a more offensive position, i. e. with the blade actually facing out. He raised one arm at the last second, and metal met metal with a dull clang as it hit the shield he had concealed there. The kick, however, he took.
The wind rushed out of him, but even through the pain, he was moving. The knife in his hand, the one that wasn't being used to block the boy's automail blade, was first. He stabbed downward with it, hoping that this leg might be the one that wasn't metal. No such luck. He didn't have time to try something else. The momentum from both attacks caused him to fly backwards, and in the process, he dropped the knife. He cringed, but now he had more room. He leaned forward, clutching his stomach from the pain of the kick, though again he was simply disguising his movements. He pulled out his gun in the process, lifted it, and pulled the trigger. Once, twice, three times. He didn't even check to see if he'd actually hit. He climbed to his feet instead, then looked up.

Deven was atching as they had their little fight all the while he was creating a ice dome over their area and after he had compleated it he began walking toward them with a lit cigerett in his mouth. He stoped next to Tai and looked at the man "You really should stop moving" as he held out his cigerett toward him "I used the water as a medium to change the entire air current around you into methane." He tapped the ash off "Now im not really good with fire transmutations and I cant control very well but an explosian that is concentrated on you, well at least we can watch you go bang."

*Sorry about the nagging, Deven. I didn't want you to fall behind.*
One shot bounced off of Tai's arm, another missed completely. The final bullet, on the other hand, grazed his cheek.
"Nice move, Deven!" Tai complimented as he waited for Lan to respond. "I didn't realize you were doing this! As for fire transmutations, if you want to avoid blasting us along with our 'friend' here, then I suggest you heighten the oxygen density around us, as well as using water molecules in the air to make a sort of barrier between us. That way, you can better control the flames."
Tai dabbled in a bit of every kind of alchemy. He only knew the stuff he was explaining because of why he had his auto-mail in the first place.
