1. Can I apply for an original character?
?
Yes, HOWEVER, you must already have a Canon character or be willing to take a canon character either as a temp (until someone is willing to take the character) or as a permanent character. If you forget about your Canon, your OC will be the first to be taken away and you will not get it back until you have posted as your canon for two weeks.
2. Can I play [insert character name here]??
As long as you see it on the available character list. If the character you want to play is on that list than go to the application board and apply.
3. How do I apply?
Go to the application board then click on either canon or original (when originals are open again). Then click on "New Thread." After that, type in the character's name as the subject and use the template that is provided for you in the application area.
4. How many characters can I play?
You can play up to TWO on one account. You can play a canon and an original. We set that up since many people who were playing canons wanted to play OCs and we wanted to make it so they kept their canon. You can ALSO play TWO canons...but you can NOT play two OCs
5. I have my character...now what?
Join the role play. I TRY to keep the synopsis up to date...check the date at the bottom to see just how accurate it is. If it is not up to date, ask people in the same "group" as you. For example, if you are playing Envy ask another homonculus. If you are playing Hughes, ask another member of the military. You can also ask a staff member.
6. I have a question about the site...who can I talk to?
The staff is all here to help. Send one of us a message. You can also post in the newbie board so all members have a chance to say hello and help with anything you need.
7. I am brand new and have no idea what to do! So, can you help?
Sure, well we are a role play site...so you can either participate in the role play, or you can read and participate elsewhere on the site.
8. I have never role played before...is that ok??
OF COURSE! Everyone starts somewhere...we have a wide range experience here...from 10+ years to brand new. There are enough people to help you in anyway.
9. There are some characters missing from the character list...(and I want to play one of them) where is [insert character here]?
There are THREE answers to this one
A.) That character is currently taken...sorry but you will have to find someone else or wait until that character is available again
B.) That character is only Manga/game canon. We loosely follow the ANIME. So those are the characters that we use.
C.) The staff does not feel that character really needs to be on the list...they were probably a one episode character or just made no impact on the show itself
10. Where are we in the series?
We only LOOSELY follow the anime. We aren't anywhere specifically. We are all over the place, just no major character has died. In the past we have even used the Nina death in the wrong spot. I chose to go with this because I wanted it to be easy for everyone, no spoilers for people still watching and people who know what's going on can explore the later moments of the series. Essentially, together we are creating a fanfiction.
11. What is up with that Real World board?
It's a free style board that took on a life of it's own.
12. Is there a posting order??
No, we have not placed in an actual posting order. If you feel inspired by the most recent post in your location please do post! I understand the existence of the posting order, however, we have never needed it.
13. Where is the actual role play located?
The Role Play is located in the category named "locations" and each board in that category is a location in which your character can be. You can also role play in what is called the "Free Style" area...this is where you keep character traits but you can put the characters in a crazy situations.
14. Why did you restart the Role Play?
The staff restarts the role play when activity is lost and most of the complaints deal with not knowing where to incorporate themselves. So far we have done it twice, and each time it has brought new life to the site.
15. When will OCs open again?
When the first list in the "available characters" section is empty...they are all key characters that need to be taken before OCs will be allowed again.
16. Where do I start?
Where ever you want. Just read the synopsis and figure out a good place to start. If that doesn't help you (because it's not up to date) ask someone in the same group as you. So military ask military that kind of thing. Usually if the character is not in the story so far then you can honestly start anywhere.
