Worrying

Greed sighed slightly, growling a little under his breath. "I knew I couldn't trust that bastard. He annoys the shit out of me" he muttered angrily.

Dorochet was sitting nearby, waiting for any possible orders. He was also hoping to see Tai.

Tai rounded a corner leading to the Devil's Nest pub. Just like he had left it, only a snall opening concealed by trash cans and a steel trapdoor showed that it had been transmuted underground. Heaving a frustrated sigh, Tai pulled back the trash cans and opened up the steel door. He slid down the latter aways before slamming it shut, not caring if his presence was now known.

After descending the semi-dark passageway he had made, Tai eventually found the end of the latter. He jumped the last few rungs and landed heavily on the concrete floor. His crystal blue eyes were aflame with anxiety. He stomped across the room and stood before Greed and his gang.

"Damn it!" he shouted, his voice filled with rage. He clemched and unclenched his auto-mail fists, casuing the mechanics throughout his arms to screech. He took a deep breath, let it out, and managed to calm down somewhat.

"...sorry," he muttered, looking up at the Homunculus, who was about a foot taller than the seventeen-year old boy. "I...ran into some trouble while on the way here." His golden-brown hair was mopped with sweat, his blue shirt with forest green sleeves spotted with random blood stains. "I had hoped you would have stayed in Central so we could leave as a group, to make things less difficult, but I see you decided to go ahead without me."

Ripping a loose thread from his faded blue jeans, Tai gave another sigh, this one of content and disappointment. He was still trying to get over the fact that the guy who had employed him almost used him as a pawn in his sick game for world domination.

"Anyway," he continued, his voice lowering to its usual voice tone, "I'm glad Martel's safe. Sorry to keep you waiting, but I had to clear up a few things before I left. I wasn't followed, and it doesn't look like Pride is going to come after us just yet."

"Okay, I did my part. I helped you rescue your family. Now it's time for you to keep your end of the bargain, Greed. Stop leaving me in the shadows and flat out tell me whether or not I'm a part of your gang! I wanna help people, but I see now that with the militray, I'd just be hurting them until Bradely's knocked off his throne."

"She's not safe. Far from it" Greed said bitterly. Hearing Tai's request, he couldn't help but smirk. "You proved your worth and loyalty, so it's no problem if you try to help people".

Tai was slightly taken aback by this remark. He hadn't counted on Greed up and telling him he was accepted just like that, as if it were nothing. But on the other hand, he had gotten the response he had hoped for, and at least he was certain it was an honest one.

"So, what do we do now, boss?" Tai asked, his rage from earlier having completely left him. Now that he knew he had at least ONE friend he could count on, he didn't feel as used anymore. The emotions of loathing and distrust at finding out the Fuhrer's secret were gone now that he had people who actually accepted him for his talents and weren't going to stab him in the back.

"Grred," he whispered, calling the dark-haired man to his side. "Why don't I stay with the military? You know, gather some information for you? It'll be my little way at getting back at them for using me, and you'll get the knowlegde you so desperately crave. I just need you to give me the order, and I'm there."

If Tai hadn't been used to taking and giving orders he probably wouldn't have felt so confident. Then again, he DID have a way with words, so he wasn't entirely surprised that he felt so up to the task of doing what he had offered. He stood erect and addressed Dorochet next.

"What, you still don't trust me?"

((What happened to Martel, anyway?))

Dorochet scowled. "It's not that. I'm worried about Martel. She left not long before you came back. That bastard X gave her some drug that was supposed to cause her severe pain" he explained simply. "And, no, we have no idea where she is. We sent X after her".

The homunculus nodded, albeit slowly. "Alright. Just watch yourself now. Pride knows that you're with me".

((Any certain direction you want this RP to take? Tai's got the information he needs, and he has plans to make if he's going to be working for Greed and stuff. Anything else, or should we start a new RP and get into the site's plot?))

((I'm not exactly sure what direction it should take, but I think we should maybe do like a mix- don't forget about OUR storyline, but try to see if we can work with the plot of the site))

((If I even KNEW what the plot was. >.> So we just wing it from here, or would it be better for others top join? And where should Pride be right now? I'd post more, but my flu is back, and I'm in no shape to be staying on for extended amounts of time. Sorry.))

"So, any idea on where we go from here?" Tai asked, smirking and crossing his arms against his chest. He really didn't have any plans now. Roy had his hands full trying to keep this whole mess quiet, the Elric Brothers were off who-know's-where, and he hadn't been given any assignments for quite some time.

"Do we track down Pride and give him what he deserves?"

Meanwhile, back at Military HQ...

"How could things have gone so wrong?!" Pride fumed, fist clenched and shaking as he banged them against his desk. "I had everything under control until that blasted Greed and his petty minions showed up!"

He got up and paced about the room, trying to think of what he would tell Dante once she returned. She wouldn't be happy, that was for sure. Then again, HE had been the one that helped her find a place to get a new ody and given her a way of getting there, so SHE owed HIM. This would be interesting to watch play out.

Greed couldn't help but smirk slightly. "I like the way you think, Albus" he said with a slight laugh. "But stay on the down-low for a few days. Then we'll make our move".
