---Character Information---
1.) Character Name --
Van Hohenheim (Elric) aka Hohenheim of Light
2.) Character Bio --
He has become more gentle and serene because he has lived for such a long time. His attitude towards the most dire situations is calm and collected and he chooses his words and his actions carefully. He loves his family, even though he left when Ed and Al were young, and he allows Ed to beat on him for doing so. He shows a deeper understanding of the world around him, which makes him both wise and powerful. He tends to use his wisdom more than his power, not being one to fight unless he has to and feels strongly for what hes fighting for.
3.) Relationships with people --
Edward Elric - First son with Trisha (Ed is upset at him for leaving them and blames him for Trisha's death.)
Alphonse Elric - Second son with Trisha (Al was too young to fully remember him, and he doesn't have the same grudge against him as Ed does.)
Trisha Elric - First true love and wife (He claims she is the only woman he has ever truly loved.)
The Rockbells - His neighbors and friends (He has known the Rockbells for a while, and they are his neighbors while living in Risembool.)
Dante - Ex-lover (The woman who loved him enough to transfer his soul into another body using the Philosopher's stone. Had a son with him who died of Mercury poisoning.)
Envy - Homunculus of his and Dante's son
4.) Likes -- His family and friends, dogs, Alchemy for use to help others.
5.) Dislikes -- People who use Alchemy for personal gain (hypocrite), the mistakes he made in his past, Dante and the homunculi.
6.) History of the character --
He has lived for approximately four centuries, his current body about forty years old. He and Dante created a Philosopher's stone which they used for an "eternal" life. Even though he said that he would only use the stone till it had been used up, Dante had other plans to keep herself alive forever and to continue to steal bodies. He had a son with her that died of Mercury poisoning, whom he tried to revive via human transmutation, creating the first homunculus, Envy. Regretting this, he ran away, hoping that Dante would eventually vanish and use up the remainder of her stone.
---Your Info---
1.) Why do you want to be this character?
The importance of the character stands out to me later in the series a little while after he's introduced. He plays an important role as the character who basically made Ed and Al interested in alchemy through his research. His mysterious past is also a great part of his character.
2.) How far are you into the Anime?
Original - Completed
Movie - Completed
Brotherhood - Up to date
3.) How far are you into the Manga?
I haven't read any of the Manga, but I may plan to, and I know the rough storyline and in what ways it differs from the Anime.

Hohenheim sat on the train, heading towards his old home. Risenbool was a few hours from central and he chose a nice seat at the end of one of the center cars. The cabin he was in was practically empty, save for two girls who were chatting at the center of the car. One was a girl with brown hair and glasses, but the other is the one he couldn't keep his eyes off of. She reminded him of someone he had known in Risenbool, many years ago. A very close friend of his.
He searched his mind to match the face with the name. Ah, how could he forget. Sara Rockbell, his old friend and neighbor. As he continued to look at this young girl, he remembered back to the days he spent in the small country village, with his wife and children whom he missed dearly. He went away for their safety; he wouldn't want them to become hurt because of his past.
His thoughts filled the hours of the ride, and finally the train arrived at Risenbool station. He exited the car a little bit after the two girls. They stood at the other end of the station, the beautiful day allowing him to look up at the blue sky. He returned his gaze to the girl, however and made his way over to her.
Hohenheim walked over to her, his shoes taping on the wooden station floor, his hand scratching the back of his head with a smile on his face.
"Excuse me, but aren't you... you're not Sara, are you?"
He approached the two now confused girls, reaching out with his hand to touch her on the shoulder.
"You've really grown up."
