After buying a couple tickets to Lior, Ed entered the train. He took a seat next to a window and peered out of it. He let out a sigh and started thinking about what he was going to say to them when he got to Lior.

Alphonse sat slightly uncomfortable at the tense feeling his brother gave off though he knew Ed had a good reason for it. He sat patiently across from Edward though some people stared at Alphonse for 'wearing' an armor suit.

Ed continued to look out the window, "I wonder what's going on in Lior...they have all been there for a while now...you would think they would have sent some people back by now." Ed mentioned to his little brother.

"You mean nobody has made it back to Central, or any place else besides Lior? I hope that Colonel,First Lieutenant, and the others are doing alright." He said. "Do you think that there's a fight going on?" He asked concerned. He had sudden realization "If there is, do you think that Rose-san is caught in it?"

Ed was thinking the same thing as Al, "I don't know...maybe you should stay at the train station awhile so I can make sure its safe..." Ed said to his brother, he didn't want him in any danger.

"No brother. We're in this together, just like always." He said confidently to his elder. No matter how much he was against fighting, he would always be there for his older brother. Just like Edward was always there for Alphonse.

Ed smiled softly, he was happy his brother was so confident. Although, he was still worried. He didn't want his younger brother to get hurt. "Alright...we're in this together..." He said with a hint of hesitation.

"Right!" His voice sounded happy at Edward's decision. He was going to say something until a mew could be heard slightly within Alphonse's armor as Alphonse froze embarrassed trying to cover it up as some heads were raised at Al.

Ed heard the mew and twitched, another cat? He thought as his head slowly turned back towards his younger brother, "Al...what...was...that?" He asked.

"Um, nothing nii-san!" He said trying to find something interesting outside the window as a diversion. He sweatdropped when another unmistakable 'mew' was heard. "Um.., I have a good explanation brother!" He said in hopes to have a reason to keep the cat.

"Nii-san, I couldn't just leave it in the ally. I had to pick it up. It was hungry when I found it after we left the Hughe's..." Alphonse protested as a couple of mews were made here and there as Al tried not to drag suspicion to himself while trying to persuade his brother.

Ed sighed, his brother's compassion for cats was sometimes a burden. "Al, what if we do go into a battle. Do you really want to put the cat in danger?" He asked.

If Alphonse had his flesh body, a smile would be seen on his face. "Really?! I'll take good care of it, Nii-san. Arrigatou!" He thanked happily. He was quite surprised that Edward would let him keep the small cat.

Joy was brought to Ed's heart when he saw just how happy Al was. He wanted more then anything for his brother to be happy as they searched for a way to put him back in his body. "Well, just be careful..." he said with a small smile.

"Hai nii-san!" He contemplated for a moment. "What should we name the kitty, Brother?" He asked as some scratching could be heard within his armor. "Ah! Kitty don't scratch my armor!" Just a couple minutes and he was already scrambling about with the small cat, especially since pets are usually supposed to be taken in carrier bags or something and put in the storage portion of the train.

"I don't know what you should name it, Al." He said to his brother. "Its your cat..." After a few minutes he noticed Al scrambling. "Al, be careful! I don't want to get in trouble and thrown off this train..." He scolded his brother.

"Um, I think I should probably try to find something for it to eat. I can't help that he's scratching the inside of my armor." Alphonse whispered. He tried to find something while thinking of a name. He walked to another section of the train and sneaked some food in his armor for the cat to eat. "Hmm... I think maybe I'll name you chibi since you're still a kitten." Alphonse said happily.
