HQ: Working hard or hardly working?

After a long search, and not finding Alphonse, Ed decided to see if anyone had seen his brother today. He was with me when we got here....where did he run off to this time? He asked himself. As soon as he thought that, another thought popped into his mind, "if he picked up another cat I am going to...grrr!" He exclaimed as he thought about his brother's weak spot for cats. "ALPHONSE!" He screamed, now jumping to one conclusion, like always.

"Fine..." She said staring at him this time. "Where and at what time do you need Riley, Indy, Zara and Alex to be ready Colonel?" Riza sighed, she wasn't used to these kind of things. She usually passed her free time at home with her small dog, her only companion.

Havoc just frowned.
He had no clue what they were going on about and felt kinda left out.
Even more so that the Colonel hadn't dismissed him or anything, just..kinda ignored him.
"I'll uh, go and do a patrol or something then, boss?"He asks, looking from Hawkeye to Mustang.

Bloch walked into HQ, having just dropped some important documents off at another base.
He'd been urging for some coffee since 5 in the morning when he got up, so he headed towards the cafeteria, for a break he thought was well deserved, when he walked right into Ed.
"Watch it short stuff."He growled, stumbling back a few meters from the impact.
He realised he'd called Ed short but he wasn't really in the mood for being nice. This encounter was, after all, prolonging the time before he finally got his coffee.

Roy had been so involved in his secet message to Roza that had completly forgotten Havoc was still waiting for orders until he spoke up.
Mustang thought for a moment. "Yes Havoc, go on patrol and if you see Full Metal around, tell him i want a full report of his research so far. He knows what I mean. You are dismissed."he ordered Havoc. He then turned his attention to the one who meant the most to him.
"Back to the business at hand. Riley, Indy, Zara and Alex should meet at the restraunt around the corner at 0700 hours. Oh yeah, dressed accordingly." Mustang said with a wink.

"It's almost time... so I'll better tell Riley, Indy, Zara and Alex to be ready, dressed and at 0700 in the restaurant around the corner sir." Riza saluted. "I'll leave now..." she said and walked outside the room, closing the door behind her.

Leaving the HQ, she walked to her house and went directly to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Black Hayate noticed his master was acting weird and sighed. Riza walked inside her small closet, drying her hair and picked a black long dress that showed her back along with her big tattoo and her small scar; took a pair of black shoes and hurried to put on her dress and shoes, and to brush her hair, leaving it without tying; giving some food and fresh water to Black Hayate she left her house, aheading the restaurant.

"Yes sir."Havoc saluted dutifully, before turning on heel and marching out the office.
As soon as the door closed he let out a sigh, the tension back there was high!
First things first, he decided he was going outside for a smoke, after all the Colonel never said it was urgent.
He grinned to himself as he walked down the hallways, pushing open the main doors and breathing deeply as the fresh air hit him..

Winry decided to visit her childhood friends once again. She heard they was at the Military H.Q. and headed there from Risembool. She had a big case strapped on her back inside full of mechanics, and other things she may need for Edward's automail. She knew he normally didn't take care of it, so she figured it probally needed a tune up by now.

Once she finally reached the building she began looking around for someone who could tell her where Edward was. Someone should know him. Seeing knowing there, Winry left H.Q.

Fuery was quite amazed at all the things he'd seen so far; Fratenizing collegeaus, people sleeping on the job, people gambling, some unauthorized animals wandering through the training facility and oddly enough that girl Ed and Alphonse hung out with was loitering near the entrance.
He sat down in the cafeteria for a breather. Reading through his notes, he didn't see how this would help the colonel in anyway.

Winry entered the building and went to the front desk asking about if they seen they seen Edward. She explained how she was looking for him, or his brother. It wasn't too urget but Winry just had a feeling she should check up on her friends today.

In Ed's search for Al, he heard a very familiar voice. Winry? He thought. He followed her voice and found her at a desk. "Winry!" He called out to her. "What are you doing here?" He asked surprised to see his old friend.

Winry heard her name being called out and looked over to the familiar voice. "Edward!" she said walking over to the person she has been looking for. "I just wanted to come and see how you and Al was doing since you haven't called or sent any letters." She lifted a bag she was carrying with her. "And I thought you could use a tune up." she said with a smile.

Ed looked around, "actually, I have no idea where Al is right now." He told Winry. "We have been so busy with everything, this is the first time we have been able to relax," he explained farther. "So, a tune up may not be a bad idea..." he said with a little laugh. He was a little afraid for himself, when Winry saw what kind of shape his automail was in. He knew she hated when he was rough with his automail, but sometimes there was just no escaping it.

Winry nodded, "Well I'll help you look for Alphonse, first lets go fix up that auto-mail." she said with a smile. She figured since it didn't look like it was in a million pieces maybe it would be okay, of course she wasn't too sure about that. She knew he had a habit of breaking it quite often. Which is why she would always try to make a better one than the last to help him even in the slightest.

Ed nodded, "Sure, let's go to the HQ medical area." He said as he started to walk down a hallway to his left. He motioned Winry to follow as he continued down the corridor.

Winry whipped her heavy bag over her shoulders again, and started following Edward. She took the chance to look around while keeping up with Edward. "How bad is your auto-mail? I know I'm going to find out soon, but just to give myself sometime to mentally prepare myself.." she said hoping for some good news more than bad.

Ed wasn't sure if he should answer that question. Its a trap isn't it...she is trying to get out of me how bad it is, so she can yell at me... He smiled and looked at her, "Just as good as you left it!" he lied nervously.

Winry was surprised and almost non-believing. "Really? No major dents or anything?" she said her eyes growing wide with surprise. 'he has to be lying there is no way..'

Ed got more nervous as she spoke, "haha, nothing major...that I can think of...just the regular tune up!" He tried to merely stretch the truth. And by that, I mean the regular tune up of you yelling at me and giving me an hour lecture as to why I need to be more careful with your "artwork" of automail... he thought to himself.

Winry knew it had to be a lie, he was just trying to buy time till he got yelled at. She was sure of it. It was too good to be true, she just hoped she brought everything she needed, and didn't forget anything. 'Of course I brought everything!' "So how much further is it?" she asked excited to work on auto-mail again.

"It's just around the corner here." Ed answered. He was relieved that she seemed to drop the automail damage conversation. He rounded the corner and opened one of the doors into a private medical room. He turned looking out the door and said exasperatedly, "Alright, let's get this over with."
