"Don't look at me" the snake chimera glared at the alchemist. She really didn't want to speak with the bastard, but if she tried to run he'd probably just have some of the remaining soldiers shoot her. That was the last thing she wanted. "Some bastard soldiers kidnapped my babies and I just came here to get them back. That's all". Hopefully that was all she needed to say. No way in hell did she want to talk to the alchemist anymore.

The alchemist gave her a confused look. "What on earth are you talking about? The military doesn't have use for a couple of infants."
The soldiers returned a few moments later. "We weren't able to find her, sir. We have a few men on lookout, but I doubt we'll be able to find her in the crowds."
Letting out a deep sigh, the alchemist looked over the rubble for a few moments, then turned to Martel again. "...Well, whatever was going on here is obviously finished, so I suppose we're done here. But if I get another report about you or your friend, there'll be trouble. Clear, little lady?"

"Of course" Martel said curtly, before darting past the officers and deeper into the city. Now she just had to figure out what to do next. If Dante and Sloth were still going to Dublith and soon, the train station wouldn't be a wise choice. It'd just make the chimeras sitting ducks. That just left the desert.....a somewhat longer trip, but likely the less risky option. Not that Martel had a problem with fighting, but she just didn't want to deal with anymore bullshit today.

Once the soldiers had arrived Dorochette and Loa had made a tactful crowed mixing. The soldiers wouldn't hurt a woman with two infants, but asthe two male chimera's had been swinging around with weapons it was probably wiser to stay out of it. As Martel walked away from the soldiers group Dorochette and Loa caught up with her again quickly.
"So nice of you to wait for us." Dorochette pointed out sarcastically.
"Are you alright?" Loa asked, ignoring the complaining dog chimera.
"Either way after this anti climax adventure we should get back to Dulpith asap."

"Sorry" Martel said in response to Dorochet's first comment. She ignored Loa's question and instead decided to turn back to the dog-chimera. "Well, unless you want to risk having to fight that bitch again, the only way we're going to be to get to Dublith is through the desert". She had to admit, the train was probably the better option, but that didn't make it the better one.

"Either way the sooner the better." Dorochette said as he weighted the option of the dessert.

"Well, the train is obviously faster" Martel said simply, glancing at Loa and Dorochet. She didn't say anything more. However, the neutral expression on her face was pretty much her asking them what they wanted to do. She would follow their lead, if only to show she still had some amount of trust towards them.

"You say it as if you had another suggestion. What were you thinking off?" Dorochette asked. If Martel had another option which would avoid meeting any trouble on the road the two other chimera's were open minded for alternatives.

"Well, like I said---the only real options are through the desert or taking the train. The desert would take longer but it's less likely we'll run into enemies" the snake chimera said simply.

Dorochette and Loa exchanged thoughtfull glances at the proposition.
"But do you think you'll be able to handle those two through the desert?" Dorochette asked. "The desert is very warm, it will take longer, we'd have no shelter and probably no food. For us that's no problem but do you think your babies can handle that much?"

Martel thought about what Dorochet was saying. The desert was cruel, no matter what time of day: burning heat in daytime and freezing cold in the night.
She remained silent for several moments before speaking again. "Let's not take a direct train to Dublith. Then we'll be less likely to be caught in a trap or something". In her eyes, having to walk a mile or two was better than being either captured, seperated, or dead.

The two other chimera's nodded in agreement at the suggestion. "Well let's get out of here asap then." Dorochette suggested.
"There is no use hanging around here longer than nesseccary." Loa agreed.
"Need help with one of them?" Dorochette asked as he nodded to the twins.

"Yeah....just take one of them until we get on the train" the snake chimera said with a slight nod. She would already be slowed somewhat from the injury to her shoulder. That, plus having to worry about carrying both children through the city wouldn't bade well for her.

Dorochette nodded as he put his sword away and carefully too Ariana (as he remembered that Rico wasn't all too fond of him last time) from Martel. The dog chimera carefully held the baby in his arms as they started walking towards the trainstation. Those two little buggers were truely adorable and most of the other chimera's at the Nest (especially Martel's close friends) had grown quite fond of them. Now they just had to hope that this time they'd be able to keep both those kids there. Considering the raid from earlier there was no doubt that the Nest wouldn't be safe anymore and they'd probably have to move to find a new hiding spot soon.

Once Dorochet took Ariana and began walking towards the train station, Martel followed suit. It would be a long while until they reached the Devil's Nest again, and she was anxious to return. Not to mention anxious to actually be able to rest for a moment, having been running around like crazy almost all day.
