"Believe me, you are of no concern to me, nor are your little friends. My time is far too precious to waste on killing rogue experiments, but I won't hesitate if you force my hand."
Dante cast a quick glance at the other chimera. As she expected, he had come to assist Martel and her children. Nevertheless, he was not a threat to her. If he caused any trouble, that stone chimera she placed between them would take care of him. Even though they had her newest specimens in their clutches, she still had the upper hand. They were but mere chimeras, and she was one of the greatest alchemists to ever walk the planet. Now that she was in a youthful body, she was quite a force to be reckoned with, to say the least.
Closing her eyes, she sighed in annoyance. "As long as you refrain from meddling in my affairs, no harm will come to your children; but yes, if you keep attempting to rescue them, they will suffer for your actions. I would rather it not come to that, but that's entirely up to you."
She opened her eyes again and rested them on Martel, looking quite aggravated. "Enough talking. If you don't give them to me now, I'll take them myself. What's it going to be?"

Rather than respond to Dante's question, Martel simply stayed quiet. She didn't make a sound until one of the babies began crying. The snake-chimera hushed the fussing newborn before whispering to him. "Don't worry. Nothing's going to happen to you". And if she had anything to do with it, that promise would be kept.

Dante watched her expectantly, her arms elegantly folded against her abdomen. "I'm waiting," she told her coldly, obviously losing what little patience she still had.

"I'm trying to comfort my child" Martel retorted with an icy tone. "Sorry for making you wait" she continued, smiling slightly as Rico's sobs subsided. The situation was still grim, but if the twins were quiet, it would make thinking easier.

Dante frowned deeply. "No, you're looking for an excuse to bide your time. I'm not going to say it again."

At Dante's words, Martel frowned herself. The bitch wanted an answer, but Martel really didn't have one. She knew she couldn't just leave her newborns with Dante; otherwise she wouldn't have tried to rescue them in the first place. But, on the other hand, if she got killed, she'd definitely have no chance of getting them back. It was a loosing situation no matter what she chose.

Dante took a step forward then, and several of her stone monstrosities turned their attention to Martel. "You know the right choice, Martel. Stop hesitating and give them to me."

"And how is giving my babies to the person who tortured a little girl to death the right choice?" Martel asked, raising an eyebrow. Even if Dante said no harm would come to the twins, the snake-lady just couldn't believe her. She just seemed like the type of woman who would punish a child severely if they disobeyed her.

"This is proving to be more trouble than it's worth. If you don't hand over both of them this instant, I'll kill you and take them by force," Dante told her icily, eyes narrowed.

The threat caused Martel to step back slightly. She didn't really have any choice right now. If she died, she'd have no way to ever rescue her babies. But, at the same time, she couldn't return to the Devil's Nest. She'd vowed she wouldn't go back there unless she had Ariana and Rico with her. So, what was she supposed to do?

As Dante had been losing her patience with Martel she had commanded her stone creatures to turn to the snake chimera. Which gave the dog chimera a good oppertunity to start fighting his way through the huge stone monsters. Dorochette started chopping the stone snake to pieces as much and as quick as he could so there would be a hole between the stone snakes so he could pass by. This was going to be a suicide atempt anyway so he might as well do it all the kamikazi way he decided as he fiercly slashed on the creature.

"You're going to get yourself killed doing that, you know" Martel yelled to Dorochet when she noticed what he was trying to do. At the same time, she couldn't help but be impressed with his idea. If they could destroy the stone chimeras Dante had created, perhaps they could escape, or at least get farther away. After all, the alchemist would take at least a moment to recreate the stone creatures that had been destroyed.

"We all have to go down one way or another, and it would kill my ego if it was because of the smorking." Dorochette answered as he kept chopping in on the stone creature as parts of brick and concrete durbee flew around as he tried to creat a space large enough to make a passage way.

Dante frowned when she noticed that the other chimera was slicing through her creations. He was proving to be quite a thorn in her side. She doubted that he would be able to help Martel, but considering her streak of bad luck, she decided not to take any chances. Clapping her hands together, she raised the street around them into a small circular tower, creating a barrier around them. Her stone chimeras would take care of the pest, and she would deal with Martel.
"Martel, you're only postponing the inevitable. The only reason you managed to escape with the children before is because you had my son to help you. Now that he's gone, you have no chance against me."
Smirking, she clapped her hands together again and transmuted their cylindrical prison, causing countless thin spikes to grow from the stone behind Martel. "You are out of your league, dear. There are few people in this world who could stand a chance against me, and I'm afraid you're not one of them. Now hand over my specimens before I end your pitiful existence."

As high walls raised up from the street creating a tower out of no-where the dog chimera starred at it for a moment. “…Ow come on, this is just really childish and unfair.” He cursed.
But as whining about it wouldn’t help much Dorochette couldn’t do anything else but start chopping on the stone monsters again as he tried to get all of them down and away before he could try and think of his next move.

Feeling the tips of the spikes poke into her back, Martel stepped forward slightly. Once the pressure was relieved from her back, she glanced back at Dante. The first comment from the old alchemist caused the chimera's eyebrow to raise a bit. From what she had seen, Dante didn't treat Envy any better than the rest of the Homunculi....actually she treated him worse than Pride. And, if she was so indifferent towards her own child, how would she act towards the offspring of people she hated? Dante had already shown she was willing to horribly injure young children....the prototype of the new Gluttony was still burning in Martel's mind. She tightened her grip on the twins slightly at the thought of the chimera at Dante's mansion.
"Well, I can tell you that's the only way you'll get your hands on them" she hissed at the elder woman in response to the comment about ending her existance.

(This is a bad situation. XD Shall I have the military intervene or should Dante get away with the children?)
Dante narrowed her eyes at her response. She had never expected that the woman would be so foolish. No matter what she did, she was going to walk away with her children, but she insisted on senselessly throwing her life away to protect them. She knew that mothers would often give their lives for their children, but in this instance it was obviously a waste. Not only would she fail to save them, but she would deeply hurt her chimera companions, as well.
"So eager to meet your demise..." she sighed and raised her hands, placing them close together to prepare for her attack. "Very well, then. If you insist on offering your life, I will have to take it."

(I'd say bring in the military. I mean, somebody had to have heard something, hadn't they?)
Martel felt her muscles tighten as Dante brought her hands close to one another. It was a reflex more than anything; when she knew an attack was coming, she'd instantly tense herself in order to respond, either by counterattacking or dodging the offense. In this situation, both would be difficult, but it would be worth a try. After all, she couldn't just let the old hag win without any kinda of a fight.

Dorochette growled as he heard Dante's words. He had to hurry if he wanted to be able to get past the blasted stone chimera's to help Martel. The ninja chimera was furiously chopping in on the stone statues. He made progress that was sure, but to slow. But then suddenly the chimera grinned as he heard something. "Loa! Finally." He greeted as the bull chimera had finally seemed to catch up with the events.
"Easy for you to say pup, you two leave without a warning. I had to hear it from some soldiers that there was troubles in town. We'll have company soon." The bull chemira grunted as he held up his hammer.
"Sorry but we were kind of busy, but reason the more to hurry." Dorochette said. "After you my friend." He pointed at the remainings of the 3 stone chimera's. With two of them the destruction of the barreer between them and Martel and Dante went a whole lot quicker. Loa had in strenght what Dorochette had in speed, and combined it wouldn't take much longer before the stone chimera's were turned to useless stone durby.

Dante was about to clap her hands together when suddenly there was a large explosion near the stone cylinder, destroying a good chunk of it. When the dust cleared, a squadron of soldiers was standing across from them, accompanied by several state alchemists. She narrowed her eyes the moment she saw them. Ever since the little chase started, she knew the military would probably be attracted, but she thought she had more time. If she wanted to continue her operations personally, she had to get out of there as soon as possible.
"We received several reports about you two disturbing the piece with your fighting. Care to explain?" the state alchemist crossed his arms, giving them a nasty look.
"Well, it seems you've lucked out today. This is hardly over," Dante hissed at Martel, then clapped her hands and sent the alchemist and the soldiers flying backward with a stone fist. Rushing out of the cylinder, she made her way down an alley, raising a wall of stone behind her to prevent them from following.
"Find her!" the alchemist ordered several of the soldiers, who immediately rushed off. "What on earth happened here?" he asked, turning to Martel.
