Winrey, saw the pain on Ed's face when she mentioned Mustang and it instantly sombered her.
"Ed, I am sorry that Colonel Mustang doesn't take you seriously. I know how much it means to you that he would. I know he treats you like a child by giving you childish chores and that bothers you so much because you want to be treated as an adult. Just stick in there Ed and keep trying , someday he will give you the respect you deserve."
She smiled at him. " And, of course I will help you. Ed I will always be here to help you we you need it."
She bent down and picked up the little puppy who was begging for attention. She held him in her arms. "Lets go get those chores done so we can go find Al." Winrey started to walk along Ed's side but instantly stopped when she saw one of the officials standing in front of her. Oh I hope I don't get Ed in trouble being here.

Hayate licked Winrey's face until he noticed Riza standing in front of them. The dog scrambled out of the girl's arms and jumped to the floor. He then ran to Riza and sat at her feet wagging his tail, proud of himself for first tying up Fullmetal and then retrieving help. He barked once, then turned to face Ed and Winrey at the side of Hawkeye.

Riza's strict military mask fell for a moment at Ed's question. He just looked so much like the colonel when he tried to appologize that she just couldn't help the small chuckle. "Alright, Ed. I'll over look this just this once. But you'd better get out of HQ before a higher ranking soldier comes out amd sees her here. Why don't you just take Hayate to the park for a little exercize and let me handle his kennal?"

Ed nodded happily, "Alright...off to the park with Hayate then!" He said with a big grin on his face. He was happy that Hawkeye was going to allow him to get away with this. He looked at the small dog and bent down. "Wanna go to the park Hayate?" He said in baby talk to him. It was then Ed remembered that there were two ladies present ((Not to mention one that he has a crush on)). He stood up and cleared his throat, "Uhh, yeah...let's go...maybe we can pick up Al while we are at it." He said to Winrey. "So, should we head to Tucker's first?" He asked her.

Riza made her way back towards the wondering where in the heck the Colonel and Lt. Colonel had run off to. She pondered this question on the long walk back.

He's probably stuffing his face at the mess hall again, she thought with a sigh. Fine then,...I'll just go there and shoot at him a few times! Making a firm decision she changed direction towards the mess hell,...and checked both guns to see that they were in perfect condition.

The dog cocked his head at Ed's baby talk. He couldn't recall ever being talked to like that before. Then he realized what Ed had said. He barked happily at Fullmetal and ran around all three humans. I've never been to the park before. This is going to be fun. Hayate barked a goodbye to Riza and stood next to Ed, ready to run.

Winrey relaxed when she heard that Ed wasn't going to get in trouble for her being there.
When she heard Ed baby talking the puppy she giggled. Aww how cute, Ed.
"Sure Ed, I bet Al is waiting for us." She walked over to where Ed was and stood by his side. " Let's go." She smiled at Ed with a little wink."

Just as they were about to leave Roy walked outside to aknolage the hose incident to Ed.
"That was quite a spectical I saw back there,the almighty Full Metal Alchemist being deafeated by a common garden hose."
chuckles,then looks up to see Winrey.
"Who is this lovly young lady Ed,your little girlfriend,how sweet,where did you meet her."

Ed's face was filled with terror as he heard Mustang's voice. He turned around to Mustang with a red hot face ((of either blushing embarrasment or anger)) "For one...it was your dumb dog that did it...and two, no she is not my girlfriend...she is just a friend!" He screamed in Mustangs face. He looked possessed as he yelled at the colonel. After his rant he glared at him and turned around again and walked off, "Come on guys..." he said still with a touch of anger in his voice.

((ok...NOW Ed is gone...the other two CAN post here if they feel like replying to it...but yeah...I am at Tucker's now))

When Riza noticed the colonel walk right passed her without even noticing she was there an anger pulse showed on her forehead. Her eyes slanted to an evil degree. She shot two shots in Mustang's general direction. BANG BANG!

"You,..." she couldn't even get the words out she was so angry so she took a deep breath and said, "Colonel, need I remind you how much work still needs to be done before the end of the day? You were precisely four hours late to work, you took an hour long lunch break before actually doing ANY paperwork and now you persist to in driving me insane by wasting more time pissing off FULLMETAL!" She only raised her voice enough so Roy could hear,...but it still made an impression on others considering her expression.

"Now will you please get to work before I sic Lt. Colonel Hughes on you with more baby pictures of Elysia?" she said still pointing her gun straight at his head.

Mustang had a look of fear in his eyes.(either because he may get his brains blown all over the pavement or that he may be forced to see Hughes Pictures for the millionth time.)

HEE HEE HEE "WELL BACK TO WORK"
He took off so fast that a trail of dirt flew behind him,as he ran to his desk and started writing with his pencil so fast that it started to smoke.
He thought to himself "I should discharge her,but I couldent,that is, in my heart I can't ever lose her,theres just somting,a gap that she has filled in my life."
He sighed and got back to his work.
He read aloud
"SIGN AND STAPLE TO FORM B,where is form B,for that matter where is my stappeler,Oh no."(sweat drop)

Finally! Riza thought. Six hours later her colonel was finally getting the paper work done. She sighed. Just another day at the office. Of course by now Roy would probably be wondering where everything is,...so she'd have to go tell him again.

She strode into the office purposefully, saw Roy's perplexed look and knew he didn't know where the stapler was. She sighed again.

"Sir, check you top right hand drawer for the stapler," she looked over his shoulder at the document he had. "And Form B should be right on top of the stack, sir."

And simply because there was no one else in the office right then, she gave him a small smile.

HUGHES

As Riza entered the offices again, Hughes jumped up with his newest picture of Elisia. "Ms. Hawkeye, look here!" He yelled as he shoved the picture in her face. "She is getting so big! Isn't she the most darling thing in all the world? I bet you want to babysit her someday! You do? Well we will have to set up a time then! I will go call Gracia now!" He said with a large doofy smile on his face as he waved to Riza and walked off.

Riza never felt her energy reserve deplete so completely before. Hughes had literally sucked the life out of her with his enthusiasm.

"Um,...Lt. Colonel Hughes,..." she tried to get his attention even though he was already walking toward his next victim, who appeared to be Roy. Instead she just said what she was going to under her breath, "I'm pretty sure I won't have the time to babysit for you because Roy never gets his work done, and believe it or not, you are a factor in his lackadaisical attitude," her voice rose a bit at the end.

HUGHES

Hughes looked at Riza, "Yes, well...you aren't raising a beautiful daughter like me!" He said as he held up the picture of Elisia again. He smiled at the picture and started rubbing his face up and down the picture. "She is so wonderful!" He said with a very large smile on his face.

His expression changed as he turned to Roy, "In all seriousness Roy," he started as he looked around. "I have some troubling news..." He said as he leaned in closer to Roy hoping Riza wouldn't hear. This was not something he wanted to say in front of her.

"Yes Lt. Colonel Hughes?
He said with a raised eyebrow as if he expected something either of the upmost inportance, or just somthing completly unrelated to anything at all.
"Is this important?"

I guess that's as close to a dismissal as I'm going to get from Hughes, she thought. Riza saw the clock at a glance, 3:15 p.m. She sighed a little. She'd been here for over 8 hours. I guess now is as good a time as any to head home, she thought as she turned to the colonel.

"Sir, forgive the inturruption but I'll be leaving now. Please put all of the finished," or unfinished, she added to herself, "paperwork on my desk for the morning." She saluted both Hughes and Mustang, turned sharply on her heel and walked out of the office door.

Fullmetal has Braha so he'll come home soon enough. He knows the way around Central better than Roy does.

HUGHES

Hughes nodded at Riza. He then turned back to Roy, he pushed his glasses up farther on his face. "I have gotten news about those strange humans Ed saw. I will have to do a little more research before I can tell you anymore...in the mean time, Roy, you should find yourself a wife!" He said as his expression changed back to his goofy smile. He started walking away, "So I'll see ya then Roy!" He laughed as he walked out of the room.

"Uhh..."
Roy sat in his office chair and just staired into space.
"A WIFE?... well I guess I should start with a girlfriend?Ehh... what am I saying, I don't have the time.Or do I."
His thoughts raced.He was bewildered.
"Mabe I should just get somthing to eat,to settle my stomach.Just forget about it.I'll forget about this soon enough.I just need to focus on the strnge humans Ed saw."
Then he thought to himself.
(Why do I talk out loud like that.What if someone heard me?"

THE NEXT DAY

Riza walked into the office looking haggard at best. Her little 'episode' last night was still rattling her cage. But she kept her head high, hoping no one would notice.

Since it was still early, she figured there would already be a mound of paper work waiting for her, and as she strode to the main doors and walked through, she saw there was.

Immediately, she sat down and began to work.
